We have a bussiness and pleasure trip in Jordan. To meet our travel agency partner Jordan artist tour (Hamzah hasanat) and he let us stay in this wonderful camp. The place are so beautiful the chief, the food and the dinning is amazing. I dont have words to say, its highly recomended. From: Desert Shepherd Travel and tours Israel
My mother and I travelled from India and stayed one night at the camp. The staff did everything they could to make us comfortable including making us a special vegetarian dish for dinner. The camp has the BEST sunset view - get your spot early as people from other camps also end up here! Our one disappointment was that there was no dance performance that night - something we were really looking forward to ! Both dinner and breakfast were a good spread.
I think it’s important you understand and so does your partners what it means to have a luxury hotel for 300$ a nights . Here are the reasons why our hire in Wadi Rum wasn’t even close to luxury . 1) very dirty bathroom 🚽 hair on wall , stains on glass shower, floor filthy , door spotted with stains , bathroom floods and impossible to dry , cheap towels , cheep soaps , broken cupboards 2) noisy noisy noisy . Impossible to sleep with horrendous noise of generator . Impossible to sit out and enjoy stars 3) arrived and room was at 45 degrees . Aircon should have been on for our checkin 4) general paths to camp were falling apart . Lights and wires all knocked over . Planks of wood falling off and can trip as I did twice 5) nails in door of room sticking out on which I cut my foot 6) no bug spray or mosquito repent in rooms . Mosquitos 🦟 all night long. Also lots is sand mites biting us whilst in common areas . Caught them spraying camp at midnight whilst out of site 7) sheets cheap quality and dirty and don’t even fit the bed . Pillows not ok
Poor food, low variety and very basic quality. At Breakfast there was almost nothing decent. Lot of stray dogs in the surroundings of the cabins without any control. Noisy rooms · Small rooms · Unhelpful concierge
My family of 4 stayed in 2 bubble tent accommodations for one night at Mazayen Rum Camp. We got a wonderful feel of staying in the middle of Wadi Rum desert, with all the modern amenities inside the accommodation. The accommodation was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioner/heater worked very well for the extreme changes of temperatures just hours apart. Bathroom was well equipped with all amenities including provision for hot and cold water. The best part of our stay at this camp was watching the underground dinner preparation being excavated to the top and being taken to the dining hall for serving all hotel guests. On one side of the dining hall, had a great experience of viewing thin flat bread being freshly prepared as well as the popular dessert, Knaffa. Dinner items were traditional, extremely elaborate and delicious. Included buffet breakfast had several items to choose from. Service at the camp was courteous. The only downside of staying at this camp was lack of adequate lighting on the walkways, which made it extremely challenging at night. One needs to carry a flashlight or phone light while walking at night in the camp. That’s the only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating. Also, I don’t have any other desert accommodations to compare with this one. Overall we had a memorable stay here which was like an oasis in the desert. I would certainly very highly recommend staying at this camp to any travelers visiting Wadi Rum.
We were here for a Dayana night. The high points were the attitude of the employees, the ride through the desert and the buffet dinner. The negatives were the drop off in quality between dinner and breakfast buffet and facilities maintenance (exterior lights broken, wooden planks in walk broken, no power at interior electrical outlet, HVAC malfunction).
Some positive points, mostly related to the dining experience, which wasn't spectacular but decent. This camp is new, but already kind of run down. There are broken post lights lining the main path. So many of them are broken they don't even light them. It gives an uncaring appearance. Rooms are not as clean as they could be and again, look beat up considering they aren't that old. It took many a several hours to resolve me 'no hot water' issue in our bathroom, which involved moving us to another tent. Sorry, but I was less than impressed.
It was very amazing stay in this camp. The atmosphere is incredible. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Food is also amazing, a specially evening event with local dinner made all day under the ground.
I spent 2 days and one night in this camp, it was absolutely amazing. It is very clean, animated and people are very nice. Especially Salem who is the manager there, always checking if everything is ok and if we don’t need anything. He is absolutely amazing and very professional. The owner of the camp was there as well, very nice and taking care of his customers. I highly recommend you to go to this camp, you will not regret.
Everything was perfect with Jaser and their friends until we arrive, after the Jeep Tour, yo the camp. They didn’t have tents for all of us and when we argue about why they didn’t told us when we book they turned aggressive. They insult us and even atack us threaten us saying we all will be remove for the camp if we continue arguing. I will recommend every tourist will look for a safer place. The owners are aggressive and dangerous if you complain about they strange rules. Don’t book this camp.
