This was one of the best experiences in Jordan, we travelled around the country for five days and this camp was absolutely one of the highlights of the trip. Very well organized, we were picked up right on time from Wadi Rum Village by our driver/tour guide Atef who took us to our camel ride, it was great and after an our of riding we met Atef at a tent for some tea, we then went to see several sites in Wadi Rum like the mushroom rock and the sand dunes where we got to hike A LOT and afterwards drink some tea with very kind people who have their visit tents set up next to the sites, we had lunch at one one of them which was provided by Atef and then we went to the camp which is beautifully layed out next to the small arch site from where you can see the sunset. At night we had dinner in the camp which was in all honesty one of the best meals we had in Jordan, a traditional Bedouin cooked meal and later some Arab sweets. The room was very clean and comfy, it gets cold in the desert but the room was very well equipped with a comfortable bed and many blankets, even a heater but we didn't use it. I recommend Beyond Wadi Rum Camp to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience in such an amazing place. The camp is located inside the Wadi Rum desert which some other camps claim to be but are not, so BEWARE! Beyond Wadi Rum Camp was the real deal and I hope to come back some day!
I travelled with my fiance to the middle east. Wadi Rum was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and Beyond Wadi Rum camp (inside the desert not the village near the small arch) was the place we enjoyed most in Jordan. We heard that many tourist come only to Petra. However, Wadi Rum is just two hours away from Petra easy to arrive and once you are there the staff from Beyond Wadi Rum camp takes care of you. Once you book the tour and the camp there is absolutely nothing else to worry about. Not only the desert camp and activities (sand boarding, camel ride and jeep tour) are amazing but also the food. The best food we had in Jordan was at Beyond Wadi Rum Camp. This is a place that can't be missed on your trip to Jordan.
I highly recommend this camp, where we spent a wonderful night. The Jeep tour and the dinner were perfect. The accomodation is clean. The whole place is perfect for relaxing and jordanian hospitality is unbelievable!
Friendly staff, clean toilets, good beds and amazing scenery! We loved it and would recommend this camp to anyone who wants an authentic but comfortable night in the middle of the desert. It's run by a real bedoin family, and they are all amazing, honest and funny people.
A fantastic experience! Taking in all of the Bedouin culture and lifestyle. Giving attendees a taste of the realities of nomadic life in one of the most picturesque, brutal and ancient landscapes. An evening in front of the campfire, with Bedouin folk songs learning the dances of the family replenishes the soul and elevates my understanding of human capacity and ability to an previously unreached level. I can not recommend this experience enough, the hosting, the food, the activities and the family who host the experience and are the sole nomadic inhabitants of the village and wadi rum area. The bathroom facilities are excellent, the sleeping arrangement is flexible and very comfortable, and the food is to die for.
Excellent transfer from the wadi rum village to the camp in a jeep. We arrived just as dinner was being served at sunset. Amazing views along the way. The dinner was delicious and cooked authentically in the Bedouin style. The host Salman was very accommodating and always keeping everyone happy. The rooms were large and spacious and clean. The washroom facilities were also clean and amicable. After dinner we were taken for a walk to have a good view of the night sky. The beds were comfortable. The next day we were taken on a jeep tour of wadi rum. Excellently organised and highly recommended!
With Salman as our gracious and kind host, we were taken on a spiritual and cultural journey under a canopy of clear, desert skies filled with sparkling stars. The cleanliness and great facilities of the camp enabled us to spend our time in quiet contemplation, looking up at the beautiful night time skies, searching for signs of shooting stars. It was at Beyond Wadi Rum Camp, with the help of the hosts in showing us the best spots, that we found something spiritual and new awaken inside us. A feeling that we will never forget. We also had the pleasure of taking a tour during the day with a brilliant tour guide, Mubarak. Thanks you, Beyond Wadi Rum Camp!
This was a truly beautiful and authentic Bedouin experience. The host Salmaan and his family was exceedingly hospitable and kind. Fantastic atmosphere, beautiful food with authentic slow cooked Bedouin style ‘zarb’ barbecue. A super fun evening of songs and Bedouin dancing to finish the night. They’ve got moves! Couldn’t recommend coming anymore. A must go!
Brilliant service, very friendly and hospitable. Facilities are clean, tours are enjoyable and just a great atmosphere overall. Great for friends, couples and families. A great and highly recommended experience.
Great service from start to finish. Fantastic camp location with views to die for. Food went down a treat but the traditional Bedouin dancing was the cherry on top. Thank you so much to the family for a once in lifetime experience I will treasure forever
