Hotel Schwärzler4.0 out of 5.0

located just off the autobahn route and slightly to the outskirts of the town but with direct link via a cycle way into the town and lake area, really pleasant staff and nice outdoor eating drinking area, would recommend for anyone visiting the lake area or on route further south
Schwarzler is not an international tourist hotel, and we were international tourist, but it grew on us. We had started off the beaten tourist path to visit friends and Schwazler was there for us. The ladies at the desk were fantastic. First they arranged for our rental car to be picked up I stead of us driving to drop it off. At check-in and check out they were incredibly nice. Breakfast was also very good with a wide selection of the general European variety. The room itself was utilitarian and clean. The bedding was a bit we'll work, but clean and I slept well. Same as the bathroom, clean, simple and useable. Overall, in a single night we found this hotel to be well run, welcoming and useful, even if it wasn't "comfy" and built for tourist.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The room i was allocated had not been modernised but that doesn't take away anything from this hotel. What made this hotel such a winner for me was the staff. They are truly an amazing team. Highly accommodating, super friendly and just great at there jobs. The sofa sections in the foyer are a perfect place to relax at night. I didn't use the spa but from friends remarks it was also great. Would definitely stay here again.
Nice room with balcony. Breakfast. Great including breakfast and not to mantion the spa and swimming pool. Friendly staff and very helpful and patient. Free bikes, normal and e-bikes. The location is ok, in a 15 min walk from town center. Bus stop directly outside.
Excellent hotel, the rooms are modern and clean. But the service by the staff was what most impressing. The spa area was also comfortible and relaxing with a wery friendly service especially after the bycycle trips on bycyles we borrowed at the reception.
We stayed three nights at the Schwarzler at a friends wedding in Bregenz. This a really nice hotel with friendly staff in all depts. Great restaurant serving excellence Wiener schnitzel. Nice comfy beds. Limited English tv channels in the rooms. Only CNN and BBC entertainment. Bregenz is not very touristy which is bonus which enables you to appreciate the town naturally. The only problem is traveling there by budget airline. Delays into Zurich and probably out again. I HATE BUDGET AIRLINES but it's well worth the effort to get there. The wedding was at Gebhardsbnerg castle overlooking the town of Bregenz and Lake Constance. An absolutely stunning location with a beautiful chapel and first class restaurant.
We enjoyed this clean, friendly hotel with its spacious room and balcony, which was pleasant to sit on in the warm evenings tho not much of a view. We paticularly enjoyed the lovely indoor pool, though found it via a labyrinth of passages was an initial challenge. Food was good and eating on the terrace agreeable. downside was the location - too far to walk from the centre for me at any rate. There was a bus service but we used it only once in a three night stay, taxis mounted up. If you came by car then there's plenty if parking. The outdoor opera - Turandot - was spectacular. Which made up for my hazy knowkedge of the plot, Italian and German subtitles. We weren't5 overwhelmed by them town, but loved the lake and mountaibs and generally friendly relaxed feel of the area.
Old traditional but modernised hotel in the suburbs, so it is quiet, and only a 8€ taxi ride from station but there is a bus stop on the doorstep and you can buy a day pass from reception and there are frequent buses into town. Ours was a pleasant standard modern room even though only overlooking an office building parking at the side. Excellent food and a spectacular breakfast from a huge buffet. Well above average service on all counts and exceptional friendliness from every single member of staff most of whom are fluent in English, and light hearted and humorous receptionists one of whom is a frequent visitor to Scotland. You really feel valued and the cheerful young hotel manager is an absolute delight and a real darling, walking the extra mile to please customers. Realising it was my birthday he went to the trouble of buying a fresh bunch of roses to decorate our table which subsequently were brought to our room after dinner by a smiling waitress by "special delivery"( sic). If you tell them you are going out your dinner is served early on the nights when one attends a festival performance. Needless to say the place is immaculate and there are tables in the garden where one can sit or dine weather permitting. A great place!
Very stylish hotel with a great kitchen (try the Wiener Schnitzel!), spacious rooms and a great service (also for the Bregenzer Festspiele, with a direct shuttle to the venue). The receptionist can help with any problems. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of delicious treats!
From the first moment of genuine warm welcome to the fond farewell we were made to feel so welcome. The rooms were large and comfortable but more functional than lux. Liked the Eco touches too. Breakfast was a super high quality buffet. Also had one lunch in the restaurant and that was also very high quality. Front desk so helpful. Overall a real pleasure to stay there.
