Il Pollaio is a beautifully renovated villa with old world charm combined with all the modern conveniences. A beautiful place located just outside Volterra, and a PERFECT location for day trips throughout Tuscany. Silvia and staff were gracious hosts who communicated beautifully with us befire, during and after our stay. We absolutely loved it and hope to return one day!

Magical villa in the Tuscan countryside

Our family of four (my husband and I and our two teenagers) had an absolutely wonderful time at Il Pollaio. The beauty of the villa is even better than the photos you see--a total gem! And you have everything you need in the house. Very well-stocked kitchen. Super clean. You can tell how much love and detail went into everything there. We spent many afternoons in the amazing pool. During the day we explored so many areas around the villa. Also, Silvia and the property management team were super responsive and so easy to work with. You don't come across properties and owners this awesome very often. Highly reccommend!

Fantastic property to enjoy Tuscany from

This is lovely rustic villa set in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. The host Sylvia was super helpful and lovely, one of the best we have come across and nothing was too much trouble. The house is spacious and well equipped with everything you need for a family vacation, and having the pool during the recent summer heat was simply fantastic after a day of exploring. The house is remote and private on a short unsealed road but just a 10 minute drive in to Volterra where there are plenty of cafes and supermarkets. A little further the other way is Colle di Val d’Elsa so self catering was easy. Highly recommend the property for an authentic Tuscan experience. 5 stars all the way!

A Perfect Tuscan Getaway – Authentic, Peaceful, and Simply Stunning

We spent a week at this incredible house in Tuscany with a group of friends, and it was truly amazing. The property is beautifully secluded, which meant we could fully relax, enjoy ourselves, and not worry about being too loud.The house itself is absolutely stunning—super detailed interior that perfectly captures the Italian lifestyle. It felt authentic, cozy, and luxurious all at once.The kitchen was very well equipped, making it easy and fun to cook big meals together. There was more than enough space for everyone, and the layout gave everyone a good balance of privacy and social areas.The outdoor spaces were the highlight: a large terrace perfect for dining and lounging, a beautiful pool we used every day, and a grill that made for unforgettable dinners. The weather was perfect all week, and the peaceful surroundings made it feel like our own little paradise.Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a truly authentic and relaxing Italian experience with friends or family. We had a great time at Il Pollaio. Its a beautyfull house with a great pool. The house is complete and has full equipment. There is a great terrace with BBQ. Also the communication with the owner and het care was great. Thanks Silvia!

Tæt på perfekt

Et fantastisk hus i et dejligt område. Store værelser, stort køkken (med alt hvad man behøver) hyggelig stue med stor spiseplads, terrasse med stort spisebord og velfungerende gasgrill. Stor swimmingpool i lukket og ugenert have. God service fra den lokale Benyamin og udlejer Silvia. Eneste negative var en noget lang (2 km) tur på en hullet grusvej op til huset, vil anbefale at man lejer en SUV.
