Magnífica villa privada con jardín y piscina

casa tradicional de piedra vieja exclusiva, recientemente renovado y con amor. Le Macine, antiguo, molino de agua con habilidad y con respeto renovado, ofrece alojamiento en un ambiente relajado de las colinas de Volterra, en una ubicación privilegiada en la Toscana, rodeado de naturaleza. Una refrescante piscina (10 x 5 metros), patio para comer y asar a la parrilla, un gran jardín, ideal para que los niños jueguen y para descansar, y el aparcamiento puede pasar unas vacaciones maravillosas en un ambiente típico de la Toscana. Le Macine se construyó en 3500 metros cuadrados de suelo, sólo para ti. Excepto que nadie más vive en la casa. El jardín es muy grande y sobre todo ideal para los niños y toda la familia: la piscina en el hotel hicieron directamente de las Macine sencilla materia de los sueños. Las mascotas son bienvenidas después de la consulta.


La casa: Le Macine se ha reformado y bien, es muy amplio y luminoso por lo que tiene una muy buena sensación. La casa tiene mucho espacio buena y suficiente. La piscina está justo en frente de la casa, en el jardín, sillas de jardín naturales y cunas disponibles.

Volterra y salidas: Volterra, a pocos minutos de Le Macine, con sus muros históricos y antiguos, es muy conocida, rica en cultura e historia y está situado en una de las zonas más bellas de la Toscana, rodeado de colinas, cipreses típicos gentiles oliva, campos de trigo, bosques y infinitamente amplio panorama. Piérdete en las pequeñas y estrechas calles de esta ciudad cuyo encanto se siente están en una era diferente de encontrar. En Volterra puede ir de compras. Por supuesto, esta zona también es muy rica en cultura alimentaria y por lo que vale la pena ir a visitar algunos de Trattoria; simplemente una necesidad. Wow! Even better than the photos. The house is very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. Alessandro was the perfect host and was very welcoming. We spent most days in the pool and evenings sitting on the patio area watching the wildlife. It was the perfect base to explore the beautiful countryside and towns. I only wish our stay had been longer and I really hope we can return.

A lovely stay, good quality air con in bedrooms, Alex is a great host. Make sure you go to one of the meals he hosts because the food was divine. Good location to Volterra, property is right next to a road but gated.

Great family holiday

Lovely Tuscan Holiday

We had a wonderful holiday at Le Macine. The pool and house were great. And Alessandro the host was very helpful and we enjoyed a lovely meal at his nearby restaurant. We hope to come back again in the future.

Wonderful place in Tuscany

We stayed here for 10 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the Villa, the Tuscan ambiance and the close proximity to Volterra. The house manager, Allisandro (Alex) was a great host. Flawless communication, friendliness, attention to our needs and providing local advice were all excellent and appreciated.

Great week

We had a lovely week staying here end of May. The property is just as seen in the photo's. It is a great location to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and towns. The kids loved splashing in the pool. Alex the host was very relaxed and helpful. We would definately return in future given the chance.

Amazing Tuscan Retreat

This place was so amazing. It is very large and appropriate for 5-6 adults. Volterra is a wonderful Tuscan town with cafes, shops, restaurants and groceries. The check in process was seamless and we used WhatsApp for communication throughout our stay. Alessandro was amazing and very accommodating. His recommendations for eating and what to see were very helpful. I highly recommend this place as it is close to Pisa and Frienze.

This is an away from it all house but in striking distance of everything great about Tuscany

We had a lovely winter break in this house. The house was great for exploring Volterra, San Gimignano and we also easily managed Siena and Florence for the day. The house is quiet and away from it all - but equally less that 10 minutes to Volterra. February turned out to be a great month to visit these historic towns as they remained cool and with far fewer tourists. Nice house in a fantastic part of the world.

A beautiful and relaxing experience in Volterra

We spent 2 very relaxing weeks in Le Macine Agriturismo. The villa is ideally located at approximately 1 hour from many beautiful Tuscan cities and villages, Pisa, Sienna, San Gimignano, and even Florence. It is 10 minutes away from the beautiful Etruscan and medieval village of Volterra. The house is very comfortable, perfectly clean and ideal for a relaxing stay. The garden is wide and very well maintained with a comfortable swimming pool. You can easily make very nice walks in the Tuscan countryside starting from some trails around the house. A special thanks to our host, Alessandro, always available, who provided us with excellent recommendations.

Expectations not met

The house is old, dark and musty. It was obviously not cleaned before our arrival. Neither the dishwasher nor the washing machine could be used because the fuses did not allow it. The fridge also broke down in the middle of our stay. A noisy road runs right past the house. Construction work was going on in the neighbouring property of the landlords for 2 weeks during our holiday - it was very noisy. The hosts are trying hard, but the price-performance ratio is not right at all. The pool is very nice, though 🙂

Spacious, well equipped villa

Le Macine is a really lovely place to stay. The villa is large, with 3 evenly sized bedrooms, 2 fully equipped bathrooms and plenty of social entertaining space. The air conditioning was very effective and welcome and Wi-Fi good. Outdoors, there is a substantial garden and the pool itself is large for a villa - have been to hotels with smaller pools! Eating outside was great in the evening, with the separate doorway to the kitchen also great. Everything was clean and we did have everything we needed. We did need to buy e.g. washing up liquid, oil, etc so do bear that in mind. Location-wise, Volterra is around 15 minutes drive away, where there is also a well-sized Conad supermarket. It is on a main road, which is good for getting around but can be noisy at some times of the day. Alessandro was a very attentive host, and popped by a few times to check everything was going well. We went to his Agriturismo one evening for a meal around 500m up the road, which was an amazing experience.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful place

We booked this house for our vacation for one week at the beginning of May. We were three adults and three dogs and we really enjoyed our stay. The House: The house is a typical Tuscan historic water mill, which has been newly renovated. It has got three bedrooms and a bathroom in the upper level, a fully functional and equipped kitchen, a living area and another bathroom in the ground level. Everything is clean and the furniture is nice. You don't have to bring your own towels or bed linen, as everything is already there. In the front of the entrance you find a big patio with table and decoration. Behind the house another patio offers the opportunity for BBQ in the shade. There are no other visitors who you would have to share the house with, so we had it all just for our own. The garden and pool area: The Villa has got a really nice and big garden, which the owners really take a lot of care of. The garden is all fenced and only for the visitor's purpose: Really nice for our three dogs, who could do whatever they want, but also nice if you want to do some sports like soccer or badminton. There is also the possibility to play table tennis. The pool area is situated in the upper half of the garden and very nice and clean. It is a fully grown swimming pool with a maximum depth of 2.20 meters. There are several deck chairs and a cool shower. Bring your own towels for the pool. The surroundings: The house is situated just a few kilometers away from Volterra in a small valley, very nice and calm. There are trees, flowers and birds everywhere. The street isn't loud at all with only very few traffic. Next to the house is only one neighbor: Up the hill lives the grandmother of the owner. The location of the house offered us the opportunity to visit Volterra, San Gimignano and the sea at Cecina or Piombino. Siena, Pisa and Florence aren't far away too. The house is ideally located for having day trips and do sightseeing if you want. The owners: Marzia and her family run a nice restaurant 10 kilometers away from the house. When you arrive, Alessandro guides you to the house and shows you everything. They are very nice and polite people who really care about their visitors. Whenever there was a problem whatever kind, Alessandro was there for us. They also invited us to their restaurant and served a really nice dinner. Thank you! We are surely going to come back next year and had a wonderful time without any complaints at this really nice place.

Ons verblijf was heerlijk. Alessandro en zijn vrouw vangen je vriendelijk op en wanneer er iets is, kan je altijd even contact opnemen. Villa el Macine is een heerlijk, ruim huis met een prachtige tuin en prive zwembad. We hebben enorm genoten van de omgeving. Het enige nadeel (en voor de rust een voordeel) dat alles wat je wil ondernemen om een rit met de auto vraagt. Al is Volterra absoluut het bezichtigen waard en kan je daar heerlijk uit eten gaan.

Das Ferienhaus war genauso wie beschrieben. Gross, sauber und voll ausgestattet, den Pool hat man komplett für sich. Es liegt auch viel Liebe im Detail wie das Falten der Handtücher und dem Olivenöl aus dem Anbau des Vermieters. Er hat uns persönlich in den Empfang genommen und beherrscht perfektes Englisch. Sehr geschätzt haben wir auch die Freizeitbeschäftigungsmöglichkeiten wie Tischtennis, Badminton und Tischkicker die zur Verfügung standen. Das Dorf Volterra (8-10 Minuten vom Haus mit dem Auto) hat alles zu bieten was man braucht und falls man mehr will, hat das Ferienhaus die perfekte Lage, je 1 Stunde zu den nächst größeren Städten und dem Strand.

Ich schließe mich meinen Vorgängern an. Das Haus entspricht absolut der Beschreibung, ist liebevoll restauriert und schön eingerichtet. Man hat alles was man braucht und der Ort ist Wunderschön! Wir waren Mitte Juni mit 6 Personen dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Der große Pool ist phantastisch und wir haben ihn ausgiebig genutzt. Die Schlafzimmer sind alle mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet und die Betten gemütlich. Das Haus hat eine wohnliche Atmosphäre, in der man sich sofort wohl fühlt. Die Küche hat auch alles, was man braucht und der große Garten ist wunderschön. Ich war ganz begeistert von der tollen Natur rund ums Haus. In der Nacht hat man die Glühwürmchen zu tausenden überall in den Büschen und Wiesen tanzen sehen, das war unglaublich! Der Gastgeber Alessandro hat ein gutes Gefühl für seine Gäste, ist sehr nett und freundlich und immer erreichbar, falls man etwas braucht. Das Essen im Familieneigenen Restaurant war auch hervorragend und mehr als ausreichend. Alles in Allem ist diesen wunderschöne Haus perfekt geeignet um Ausflüge in alle Richtungen der Toskana zu unternehmen und dann Zuhause zu entspannen!Die Straße ist manchmal ein wenig störend aber man kann das gut ausblenden. Wir kommen wirklich gern wieder!

Sehr angenehme und nette Vermieter! Schöne, grosse Gartenanlage mit gepflegtem, grossen Pool. Gut eingerichtetes Haus. Es fehlt an Nichts! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Toller Aufenthalt, super Gastgeber

Alles war wie in der Beschreibung. Straße war etwas laut, hat uns aber nicht gestört. Das Ferienhaus an sich war super schön. Manchmal kam leider der Geruch der Kanalisation vorbei, daran haben wir uns gewöhnt. Ohne Geruch hätte es 5 Sterne gegeben. Gastgeber war super, immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit.

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Haus mit einem riesigen Grundstück. Es liegt direkt an einer Straße, was uns aber überhaupt nicht gestört hat. Es ist so gut wie nicht einsehbar, also hat man eine Menge Privatsphäre. Der Pool wurde jeden Tag genutzt, was bei den Temperaturen auch Pflicht war. Alex war ein sympathischer und aufmerksamer Gastgeber, den man jederzeit erreichen und mit Fragen löchern konnte. :-) Sein Premium-Tipp, das Landschaftsschutzgebiet "Masso delle Fanciulle" zu besuchen, war eines der Highlights. Fazit: absolut zu empfehlen....
