Country house with a beautiful garden, a pool, and recreational facilities for up to 12 guests

This 19th-century ancestral home of a family of woodworkers is located in Haimburg, a tranquil village in Lower Carinthia, 5 km from the district capital of Völkermarkt and about a 25-minute drive from Klagenfurt. Numerous attractions in this vacation region are right on your doorstep:
You can reach destinations on Lake Wörthersee and Lake Klopeiner See in just a few minutes via the nearby A2 highway. Klagenfurt Airport is only 20 minutes away.
Right on your doorstep lies the sunny town of Diex and the surrounding forests, offering mountain biking, hiking, and recreational opportunities. Haimburg is famous for its summer theater performances at Heunburg Castle, which is within sight.
The entire house is available for exclusive rental for up to 9 adults and 3 children. In addition to the pool area, the highlight is the 170-square-meter attic maisonette with a living room and open kitchen, a tiled stove, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets, 3 balconies, a TV room, and an utility room.
In addition to the attic maisonette, there are (depending on the number of guests) 3 functional bedrooms on the upper floor as well as spacious ground-floor areas available. These include: a well-equipped summer kitchen on the first floor, a pool room with a stereo system, and a sauna area with a spacious shower area. The outdoor area is spacious: a pool with a counter-current system, an outdoor shower, a large, sunny south-facing terrace with lounge chairs, a dream dining area for 12 people, and a beer tap. From here, enjoy the view of the castle, mountains, garden, and pool—as well as your privacy—from morning till night. At night, you can illuminate the pool and garden.
Also available to you: a Weber gas grill, table soccer, and 5 trekking/mountain bikes. Just 500 meters from the house, guests can book and use two beautifully situated tennis courts with a clubhouse and on-site shower facilities free of charge. The front courtyard of the property is fenced off. Here, you can conveniently store your own sports equipment or bicycles.
The garden is a children’s paradise with a swing and a sandbox under the chestnut tree, tall hedges, and more.
The house is ideal for a large family or a group of friends.
Well-behaved dogs are also welcome. The property is not completely fenced in.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 7 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a private pool, a washing machine, and a fenced private yard.

Beautiful escape in Austria

Spacious and well equipped place in a gorgeous location with an outdoor pool. Far from buzzing nightlife, which is just what we wanted!

Wonderful stay!

Excellent accommodation for groups that need their own room. The facilities are top notch and spatious. Friendly and helpful hosts. We mainly went hiking in the region there. And by recommendation of the owner, also visited a local brewery and did a nice tour there. We also very much enjoyed the outdoor space, kitchen and BBQ. As we had very nice weather, the pool was of course a perfect addition to cool off in. Definitely considering to come back here!

A great vacation with friends

We stayed one week in the house of Herbert and have had a great week. The house is big and stayed here with 2 families. The kitchen, living room, garden and swimming pool were great. Communication with Herbert and his neighboirs was perfect. The house could have been a little cleaner and we missed cabinets in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The upstair bathrooms were outdated but the downstairs bathroom was very Nice. We have had a wonderfull stay at the house.

We had a wonderful stay at Herbert's house in Haimburg. Communication (in English) was excellent and he provided some great recommendations and booked tennis in the village for us. The housekeepers Arnold and Gitte are on hand if anything is needed. The ground floor of the house and outdoor space are fantastic, particularly the pool area and the modern and well-equipped kitchen. The upstairs is less modern, particularly the bathrooms and we really only used the ground floor and top floor showers. There is just one air-conditioning unit in the living area of the top floor and a couple of tower fans. We were blessed with incredible August weather (over 30 every day) very lucky but this did mean that the bedrooms, particularly the top floor, were very hot. We did a day-trip to Lake Bled and had a fantastic lunch followed by lake swimming in Klagunfurt - but mainly we made full use of the house in the sunshine. Thanks Herbert!

Alles in allem „Tiptop“ - sehr gerne wieder.

Erholsamer Familienurlaub

Also wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Haus in Haimburg 52 Völkermarkt
