We were looking for a place to stay near Valparaiso and found this gem to the north. Our plan was to say only one night but found it so amazing we stayed two nights. There were things to do with the kids that were close (Dunes, beaches) and there were cities that were a blast to explore. (Vin del Mar, Valparaiso)
Nice location, rooms average, problems with bathroom maintenance and some other facilities. All solved in due time. Good dinning services, nice view and very good spa and swimming pool. Average breackfast.
Dirty carpets, bad food, i had a broken mirror in my room. The first day i was there the cleaning lady left a note in my bathroom demanding on how i should use the shower. Terrible experience for the price you pay.
Great Hotel, amazing sight! The views you can get from the rooms are awesome. you have 2 bars with live music and 2 restorants, the one in the rooftop is a must to enjoy a lunch. Spa is also available if you need some more relaxing.
Extraordinary hotel in a beautiful place, with the ocean under you. Magnificent see-scape. Service and food is very good. I fully recommend this hotel for business, leisure, family, etc. Try the experience of sleeping with the open window with the noise of the see and waves. It has been a great pleasure to enjoy this fantastic hotel.
This is my second stay at the hotel. Nice and modern, with a beautiful view of the coast from your room. The rooms are set so your bed faces the window; there is a nice bar and restaurant at the hotel so you can relax at night.
The service level of the staff during breakfast was poor. I felt they had low preparation - training. There is lot of room for improvement on this front. I reserved a suite but view is better in standard rooms.
The hotel is located in a city near viña a few kilometers north by the coastline. The base of the building touch the sea and you may watch the waves crushing all around. Sometimes water jumps to the pool area. The rooms are spacious and confortable and have great sunsets views. The sound of the waves makes me sleep like never before, deep and restful. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant have nice views of the sea and provides excellent fish dishes with a touch of gourmet style. Great experience. The Spa was my primarily reason to go and we had great service there. To begin, making a huge difference with other spas in Chile, where they separate women from men, here you may have your own cabin with showers of all kinds, steam or dry heat and the privacy a couple require. There is nice pool with warmed sea water that is very relaxing where you may share with other people. Massage is available but you have to reserve with at least 12 hours of anticipation it is very demanded service. Spectacular place to relax and enjoy the healing properties of the water and healthy food. I loved this place.
The hotel has a great location, absolute ocean front position with the Pacific ocean waves coming up to and even under the building. There is a rooftop terrace, with panoramic views, but service there is only provided "in season" (the notice said this was during Jan & Feb only - too bad about the other 10 months of the year!). A big annoyance was that at each high tide a very loud knocking sound reverberated through in our wing of the building - apparently caused by movement of a loose rock by the waves below, striking the building structure. Parking is limited, mainly open air plus small, very tight undercover parking area (where the staff, in moving our car, did damage sufficient to trigger additional costs from the rental company). The quality of the restaurant food and bar was good, but expensive and by no means outstanding. A buffet breakfast was included in the room rate, and this provided a good variety and selection, with great views out over the ocean while breakfasting. The room accommodation was adequate and comfortable, and seemed to have been refurbished fairly recently. Cupboard and hanging space was very limited though, and could have been better designed. There is a refrigerated self service mini-bar within part of the cupboard space - which is locked for security and, despite asking at reception for the key to be sent, it never showed up. Small stuff that one usually expects to find, like "do not disturb" notice or an information folder describing services available, restaurant hours, check in/out times and so forth, were missing. In general the service was moderately good and reasonably friendly and obliging - albeit not particularly fast or well trained . Exceptions to this were the damage done during car parking, mentioned previously, and the check in and out - which was conducted slowly and begrudgingly by a very surly man who only spoke in some personal, local dialect version of Spanish that was virtually unintelligible, even to my Chilean-born companion (and certainly to myself even having been resident in Chile for several years). There is a nice indoor heated pool, adjacent to a dedicated (expensive) in-house commercial spa offering a wide range of services. All in all the total package was OK, but management attention to detail, staffing and training seemed to be less than adequate.
We were extremely satisfied with the service, the assistance and the situation of the hotel. It was a magnificent in all possible ways, especially being on holiday in a country that does not really speak english.
