This was our first time in this part of Majorca. The welcome we received and the service throughout especially from Cleopatra, Barbara, Albert and all at reception was exemplary. We had room 1 which was modern, comfortable and tucked away in a quiet spot so we were able to chill on the terrace when we wanted to. Special mention too for the great breakfasts and large, cooling pool!
This was the second part of my short holiday and I went to relax. That's exactly what I did in this amazing paradise. Luxury and perfection. Only a standard room left for me to book and it exceeded my expectation. Great pool. Great gardens.great staff.great food
Sa Franquesa Nova is a place of tranquility surrounded by beautiful nature. Come here for relaxing and good food in the evenings. They offer a 3 or 4 course menu and a la carte for reasonable prices. The large pool is very inviting. Sa Franquesa Nova is also a good starting point to visit various places around the island.
After a year of pausing we came back for a second two week stay at this peaceful country side hotel. This time we had room #14 which has direct view towards the hilly country side (pls refer to room map). Most of the rooms are fronted to the south, a few towards the other side. Not much has changed since our last stay which is good as almost everything was just perfect. Guests are always a quite good mixture of couples and a variety of families with mostly one small child in school age up to teens. The highlight is certainly the large nice pool and sun bed area facing the wide view. Close by is the other Sa Franquesa Velles Hotel which is less luxurious and focussed on rural family vacation where kids can make friends quickly and entertain themselves. Worth mentioning that both hotels are not related to each other. If you prefer the beaches prepare to drive for about 30 min to any Calla location or Es Trenc. Same with good restaurants which are clustered in and around Manacor, Campos (Moli de Vent), Felanitx, Santany and Ses Salines (Cassai and two others). Btw this time the coffee was fabulous as they leased a new Nespresso machine. Only remarkable negative point is, in case you have a soft sleep, the crowing cocks get you out of sleep every night. But that's what you know booking rural vacation.
We have booked this hotel and were not quite sure if reviews are correct since it was a bit overwhelming. Finally we were positively surprised about the beauty of this Finca Hotel. It was a perfect stay from check in until we left. A young team is in place including a very young cook which is doing an outstanding job. At the beginning we thought that we will have dinner out of the hotel but the menu many times convinced us to stay. A 3 course menu at 22 Euro based on this quality is really outstanding. The pool size and view from the pool is also very nice.
Overall we liked it there but most probably we wont return. Reading all the good reports on Tripadvisor I was a bit disappointed. Although the area is truly nice and the rooms are, although small, very nice too and clean with a lot of space for clothes, the service is what disappointed and somewhat negatively influenced the overall picture. When going to the breakfast, the tables were quite often dirty, it took ALWAYS a long time until a waiter came and cleaned them up of provided some service. There were even guests who went cooking their breakfast eggs on their own as the cook only very sporadically showed off while the cooking station was running (and smelled). Also the buffet was not always very well looked after. Quite often the coffee machine was not working, there was not enough milk and it took in general quite long to replace emptied food.
The wife and I went to Sa Franquesa Nova for a wedding. We stayed in bungalow #10 and the accomodations were "Outstanding". The bathroom, complete with rain water shower and bidet were always cleaned and fresh. As stated earlier by reviewers, this is not for partying sort. It is quiet and in the morning a spry rooster will awaken you with his calls. For "City Folk" like myself, I liked it. He only called to let you know the day had begun. It's up to you what you do from that point. The food was not that special and breakfast is a buffet that had the usual spread. Overall, the land and the pool were great. There's plenty of visuals simulation with the zebras and various birds, namely a hawk hunting in the fields. Angry birds were in abundance. If you rent a car, advised, you can drive to Palma, Manacor and Port Cristo. We had a convertible BMW and enjoy driving the region. Again, for peace and quiet, this is the spot with lemon, lime, fig, and olive trees producing a pleasing fragrance throughout the property.
We spend here one week and enjoyed our stay very much. Aina and her taff did everything they could to make our stay unforgetable. Rooms airy, modern, clean, hotel quiet and in a nice setting. In the morning nice breakfast with fresh oranje juice, fresh made omelets,.... We will certainly come back here and we can recommend this petite hotel to everyone.
Enjoyed a fantastic 3 night stay at this peaceful, top quality hotel. The rooms are light and airy with great bathrooms/wet rooms. Rooms have great patios with comfy chairs and loungers and most enjoy superb views of the surrounding countryside. The hotel also has great food - the dinner experience is alone a good enough reason to come to this hotel. One evening I enjoyed one of the best steaks I have ever had washed down with a nice red from the local and wider Spanish selection of wines available at reasonable prices. Service is excellent - thank you Cesar. There is even a Zebra in the field next to the hotel. How cool is that!
Very nice Finca hotel in a relatively remote location, very great, ideal to relax. Rooms are very nice and spacious, our room had a very large terrace with beautiful view over the garden. Delicious breakfast buffet with lots of local food. We also had dinner at the hotel's own restaurant and found the food to be at least on par with other gourmet restaurants on the island. Perfect place to relax, we'll definitely be back.
