Staff was excellent. Room was clean. Breakfast was a nice spread with a scrambled egg, breads, meats & cheeses. This is a good basic hotel. I would stay here again if I were coming back to Vic.

A small and intimate hotel about 15 minutes from the black sand beach near Vik. A bit isolated but quiet and convenient stop on the ring road with great food (dinner, which you have to reserve ahead and the main is a choice between char, lamb and a salad), yummy cheese board and the food was cooked well and tasty. Good breakfast selection although we did not know we could have gotten freshly scrambled eggs until we had filled up on the other breakfast choices. Spacious room with deck which would have been great to see an aurora from but unfortunately not during our stay. Shower could have been bigger, only negative.

We stayed 1 night @ the property. The room is big, the bed is comfortable, the shower is big & good shower. The breakfast is good, with scramble eggs, croissant, toast & others. We had a good start @ the property.

I have no idea how this “hotel” is highly rated. We had a very strong smell of urine in our room that wouldn’t go away. We encountered many spiders and flies in the room and near windows. Staff are not pleasant to deal with.

Don’t let the exterior of the building scare you.

The exterior of the building looked like a tired old motel, we joked that it reminded us of Schitt’s Creek. However, we learned at check in that the building was once a school and the seven rooms (apparently each a classroom) were very spacious - plenty of room to spread out. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower in bathroom was tiny. Staff members were friendly. Breakfast include delicious home made breads and scrambled eggs. As for the exterior, as we traveled through the area we realized that most buildings looked similar.

Cosy and lovely place

Well designed little hotel. Spacious and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Convenient location for sightseeing even though it is out of town. The price is much better than the hotels in town. The breakfast was good.
