The view and staff was wonderful. Everyone was courteous and helpful. Perhaps, a place to purchase toiletries within the hotel would be helpful.
Location: We took the train and called the hotel to request a taxi to take us to the hotel. It was lucky that we had an international phone because it was raining (absolutely no way to even attempt to walk to the bus stop down the road) to ask for directions/get picked up. Upon arriving at the train station, there were no signs directing you to downtown nor was there anyone available to ask questions. The hotel is located about a 15 car ride from downtown. It is not walking distance to anything. Amenities: The breakfast spread had sparkling and still water. I refilled my water bottle every morning. The pool is accessible at a cost. Cleanliness: I dreaded taking a shower because the shower did not drain. You ended up standing in your own filth. Noise: The location of the hotel is on a hillside, providing limited exterior noise, with the exception of the ocean. While this hotel provided a nice view, it was not in a convenient location. It was a 15 car ride to downtown and a 30 minute car ride to Sorrento. If you prefer to stay inside or lounge in the hotel deck, I would recommend this hotel, otherwise, I did not find the location convenient. The hotel also had their own taxi service which seemed to be pricier than what other people were quoting.
