Room was small and on the top floor . There was a small widow and bathroom all clean. There was very little ventilation on a hot night. Kettle but only tiny cups and o milk bring your own. Breakfast not worth the money stop at a boulangerie
The hotel is set in the countryside and is surrounded by the golf course. The restaurant and breakfast room both had indoor and outside seating areas with lovely views. The room was pleasant with very comfortable beds. The nearest town has an old mediaeval centre on a hill with several nice eateries with lovely views.
Stayed for just one night with a large group of friends, but wished it could be longer. The hotel is well located as a stop off driving through France, but also worth considering for a longer stay. The staff spoke good English and could not have been more helpful or cheerful. Dinner was laid out on white table cloths on tables on the lawn between the Manoir and the reflecting pool, overlooking the golf course. Sounds amazing? It was. With rooms at around 85 Euro's a night it was far from expensive. Give it a try. Did I mention there is a lovely swimming pool?
Standard of accommodation is very good. Recommend you combine your visit with a round of golf on the excellent golf course in the grounds. Resturant is very pleasant. Staff helpful and attentive. Quality of food exceptional.
Stayed here whilst passing through on the way to portugal. The hotel and grounds are stunning and worth a visit for that alone. Our room was comfortable and the hotel allows you to take your dog along to stay too which was great. We dined in the hotel for dinner and breakfast and both were lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay again.
Lovely place to stay for a couple of nights. In the middle of country and golf. Loved the house, although it was a little smelly as we arrived relatively late there. We stayed 1 night on our road trip, not in the main house, which was a pity and we would have preferred. Breakfast a little expensive for what was offered. Late night drink at the bar was nice too.
This is a lovely historic chateau - well maintained but retaining all its character - that has been in the lady owner's family for generations. Lovely big room, comfortable bed and spectacular views over the estate. No restaurant but plenty of places in nearby Chsttelrault. The couple who run the chateau were friendly and helpful in an effortless way that one often gets with upper classes everywhere. Breakfast was good and, after a stroll around the lovely estate, we headed off refreshed. It was like entering another world.
Dinner was served in the rather cold breakfast room instead of the restaurant. For the rest, all was ppsitive. Room was small but ok for one nicht. Location is great for stopover on the way to Spain. C
STAYED AT HOTEL ON WAY DOWN TO BIARRITZ, This was Fine, + Stayed on return Journey. VERY PUT IN BREAKFAST AREA FOR DINNER, THIS RUINED OUR VISIT. It was very Disappointing to be put in The Breakfast area as this had no ambience, We would definitely not stay here again.
We stayed here overnight on the way to the Dordogne. Rooms alright but could do with some refurbishment. Eat in the dining room, food was excellent and different, service was fine. Staff were friendly and to our shame, their English was better than our French.
