Good location and nice hotel

The hotel was nice, not incredible but alright. The location was very good. I heard it will undergo renovations during 2014, thus it will be a better stay once it is practically brand new again. Would really recommend and would return once it is ready to go again.

Great Location

This hotel is in a great location, all within walking distance, for all the sights of Vienna. The reception staff were extremely helpful when it came to making travel arrangements on the train. The rooms were comfortable with all amenities you needed provided.

This hotel however was closed on 31st December 2013, has been bought by a different group and will not be reopened for two years while it undergoes considerable refurbishment..

Great location friendly staff

Hotel staff were friendly and breakfasts were good with an excellent range of dishes. Hotel was well situated on the Ringstrasse so we could walk to many attractions. Our room was a bit stuffy and overheated ; difficult to cool down as heating was on full all the time. The room had half windows with no view we could only look down inside the hotel, but it was comfortable and well equipped. On Christmas day the room did not get made up, but as we checked out next day, this was not a big issue.

Careful with the breakfast option

I book the hotel for its price compared to the other hotels in this area. (By the way location of the hotel is good. it is between CAT train and stephanplatz so it is easy when you are using train from airport to city, much easier if you use austrian airlines with city check in) Anyway, the room is small, old and not very clean if you compare other radisson hotels. When I say old, not historically old, used and deformed way. However, the staff is very warm and helpful, they are the best thing about the hotel, but like everone else is saying HOTEL NEEDS RENOVATİON :) Be careful when you compare the prices some options include breakfast some dont.

I was Dipped of euro 650 in the Breakfast Room.

Bland breakfast delays in getting a teapot I was away from my table for an excessive time waiting on a teapot.My jacket with euro 650 was on the back of the chair.when I returned to my room,room 625,I discovered my money gone.the staff were indifferent.And didn't reply to my email or fax sent on 2nd December.

Definitely NOT a luxury hotel - very disappointing

The first thing that struck me was the smell of stale smoke in this hotel which made me want to physically gag at points. Thankfully the room didn't smell but it was a little dirty, small and didn't have any of the features I would expect from this level of hotel. The furnishings are dated and the general decor was very tired and worn. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful but once inside it was all very disappointing. The staff weren't welcoming, no smile and no information about the hotel or area given. I wouldn't recommend this hotel until it is updated and they do something about the smell!!

Good Location, nice hotel, very clean and tiday.

We stayed here for the weekend whilst we were visiting the attractions of Vienna and the Christmas markets. It was close to the U-barn and tramlines which was great. The staff were very helpful when asked and we had no problems there. The rooms were clean, mini bar was free. The bath was a bit on the small side but we managed to squeeze into it. Would stay here again.

Have a look at my recent Trip Advisor for this hotel and read many other similar reviews. This USED to be a good hotel no doubt but currently it simply isn't 5star neither condition or service levels. Clearly the management is in 'getting ready to close down and refurbish' mode and doesn't appear to care less about what paying guests write. All in all very poor quality for the money.

Good location, terrible service

This hotel is closing for refurbishment and really needs it, service at breakfast is beyond a joke and this hotel is not worthy of being rated a 5 star hotel. Having said that location is good and plenty of bars and restaurants close by. I'm sure once its be refitted and staff are trained it will once again shine. Room was clean and comfortable but very tired.

It's too hot in there - even the staff complain It's cold outside and a furnace in the rooms and public areas so germs and bacteria fester Many people came down with flu like symptoms in our group It's not the hotels fault but the fact that you were never able to cool your body down in the rooms made it worse

our request for a handicap room got lost

They didn't get our request for a handicap room -- I would advise always double-checking with the hotel even after receiving email confirmation. Also while we were there we requested a taxi at 4:30 one morning that also got lost. But the hotel was beautiful.

a great hotel from which to explore Vienna

And good quality hotel which was reasonably priced. It is well located from which to sightsee Vienna and is close to some nice restaurants. It was also easy to get to from the CAT train stop from the airport. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food. Our room was small but sufficient for our needs as we were only really I. It took sleep! Would definitely stay there again.
