Gorgeous lobby, amazing cigar lounge, beautiful, new spa, tasteful, big, well-designed rooms, impeccable service and great location. Hotel is new and fresh. Really one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Do not hesitate to book your stay here!!!

I am a frequent traveler and I know a bit about hotel standards. I can surely say that this Hotel is a benchmark for hospitality and luxury. Perfectly located in a quite and neat area of the city, a few steps from the metro. Breakfast is excellent, the personnel is all very kind and professional, our junior suite was quiet and spacious; in room services were perfect and the staff provded us with a special gift. Highly recommended!

It doesn't happen very often but we have nothing to improve at the Kempinski. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed the spacious rooms, the very friendly staff and service (omnipresent but always at a distance), the great breakfast. Everything was smooth and taken care of when asked for. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Kuche and also dinner at Edvard and can very much recommend. For a five-star hotel, prices are acceptable and food is very nice.

My husband and I literally had a discussion during our stay about all of our many years of travel and which hotels came close to the level of perfection that we experienced at the Palais Hansen Kempinski--only a couple came to mind! The staff was exemplary--from the front desk, the knowledgeable concierges, housekeeping, the lobby bar and the waitstaff at Die Küche restaurant--everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. We arrived late morning and our room was not quite ready, so we were asked to wait in the lobby area. The lobby design offered up plenty of seating with the registration desks out of plain view, so it felt more like an upscale lounge. One of my favorite moments at the hotel was one late afternoon we were sitting in the lobby enjoying coffee and a lovely lady came by with an apple strudel cart and offered us hot apple strudel with our coffee...um, yes, please! We stayed in a Grand Deluxe room and it was wonderful! Very spacious and with some nice technology touches throughout. The shower is the best designed shower I have ever seen. There have been so many times I've had to use trial and error on hotel showers trying to figure out which knobs operated which faucet or water temperature, but not this shower. Simply press the clearly-marked on/off button and the water comes on, set at a perfect 38 degrees. Another button for hotter and one for colder. If you prefer to use the rain head shower, there was a button for that too. Best shower design ever! Same with the separate bath tub. The hotel location is very easily accessible to the tram and the subway and is walking distance to many of the main attractions. We walked more than we used transportation because of the proximity of the hotel. Overall, I can't say enough about this hotel. We absolutely loved everything about it!

This was our second stay at the Palais Hansen Kempinski and it was even better than the first (October 2015). The staff are warm, knowledgeable, and happy to cater to your individual needs or just make you feel welcome. They were happy to welcome our 20kg dog as well. Vanessa (reception) was exceptional, providing a lovely upgrade and otherwise taking excellent care of us. Helmut (bar lounge) also provided excellent service! The rooms are luxurious and quiet. Excellent food, including that which is available through room service. Valet and self-parking are available in the attached hotel garage.

Everything about this hotel is great - location, decor, service, food, amenities. Rooms that look over courtyard are very quite. Spa is fantastic! Be sure to explore all it has to offer - pool with jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, relaxation room... you will want to stay there all day!

On my recent trip to Vienna I ended up staying st the Ritz Carlton for two days and then moved to Hotel Kapinsky for five days. The Ritz was nice and nothing less than I would expect from that brand. But it was nothing compared to Hotel Kapinsky. I am used to five star hotels and the Kapinski raised the bar one notch. Everything from the room, bedding, location, staff, breakfast (42€) were excellent. I have no complaints or suggestions for improvement. It will be my hotel of choice for Austria when i return.

When you book this hotel you expect to get the character and elegance of Austria .... and you certainly do! This is one of the best hotels we've stayed with in Europe and we highly recommend it. It's the kind of place you expect to see Elizabeth Taylor, Cary Grant or other romantic era stars sweeping by in the lobby or lounge. The rooms are up to date and equipped with all the latest gadgets and conveniences. The rooms are large, well organized and clean. When you have questions, the staff are more than happy to assist and you can count on a friendly "hello, good morning" or "enjoy your dinner" as you pass by. A special thank you goes to Martin, Concierge. Martin went above and beyond giving us non-"tourist" recommendations and helping us discover restaurants that were fabulous! A definite return is in order once you stay at the Palais Hansen Kempinski! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We loved this hotel!!! It's a newer hotel in a great location. Easy walking to the town center and cathedral. We received an upgrade to a suite and it was dreamy! The bathroom with a heated floor and separate shower and toilet; a super comfy bed and very comfortable sitting room! Very well appointed and the workout room was great. The spa looked amazing but I couldn't fit that into the schedule. The staff were courteous and helpful. I would stay here again and highly recommend it!

Spent 3 nights in Vienna during a recent trip to Europe. I was initially a bit unsure as to which hotel to choose but was so glad ended up with palais hansen kempinski. The hotel is beautiful, and service is excellent. We really couldn't be happier with our stay. We booked through Amex fine hotels and resorts program. The hotel honored all the amenities including noon check in, upgrade, daily breakfast, €85 credit to spend at the hotel, free wifi, 4pm check out and the special amenity of 3rd night complimentary. We stayed in the Ring Suite and what a beautiful apartment it is. It's very spacious and luxurious with a separate bedroom and 3 balconies facing the Ring. The high ceiling makes the space even bigger. Everything was in pristine condition and clean. Amanda, at the front desk, was warm and welcoming. She brought us to our suite and showed us everything there. Talk about customer service, she definitely excels in that. I was a bit concerned about the location of the hotel being not centered enough for all the sites but that was not a problem at all. As many of the reviewers said the schottenring station is just a couple mins walk away and it takes you right to stephanplatz and the opera house. I love that I didn't have to be in crowds of tourists as I walked out of the hotel. We also walked to the sites as well and the walk was pleasant and fast. A mere 10-15 mins walk will take you to stephanplatz. I really enjoyed walking through streets that are more local so this hotel was perfect. We arrived at the hotel from VIE airport. Instead of taking the train we arranged a ride from vienna airport cab for €27 to travel to the hotel. The ride was around 20 mins. But since we each got heavy luggage so the ride just made it so much easier for us. If taking the train, you'll probably get off at schottenring station and walk around 3 mins to the hotel. It's an easy walk with flat road. And the train station is equipped with elevator so no need to drag your luggage up the stairs. We also had daily breakfast at the hotel and the spread was excellent. They even offer fresh pressed juice counter where you can make your own juice. And generous choices of pastries, cold cuts, cheese, hot food such as made to order eggs and omelette, waffles, wieners, and many more just to name a few. They also offer a breakfast menu on the table which is available to order with no additional charges. One down side about the stay but it wasn't related to the hotel. There was a big tour group from Malaysia during our stay at the hotel. The group crowded the breakfast room one morning which was fine of course. But then some of them started sneezing in the food area and one even spit in the sink near the food station which was very gross. However I must say service in die kuerche remained efficient and professional. In all, we had a fabulous and memorable stay at the hotel and will definitely return when we go back to Vienna. Highly recommended!
