Spent 3 nights here for my parents anniversary! What fantastic service , nothing was too much , from arranging flowers to a cake , Vanessa on the front desk is an asset to the Hotel. Really helpful and went out of her way to ensure we had a fantastic stay! Thank You!!
Big and comfortable rooms. The bathroom was particularly great. The few problems we had: -breakfast salloon was always packed and we had to wait every single time for a table. -our room was close to lifts and was noisy at times - despite there was no dress code published / communicated, my husband was warned re his clothing in the bfast serving area. Not pleasant!
The hotel staff and service are exemplary. For sure this is not a budget hotel but the quality has it's own price. From check in through room access to room design and onto to room service, communications, breakfast, afternoon tea, spa and dinner through to hotel Concierge this hotel offers service and high quality. the spa are is a little small but ticks all the boxes. Vienna is a special city and this hotel makes the end penitence even more special.
Wonderfully situated hotel with very attentive concierge and check in/out staff. Swiftly and warmly welcomed to this magnificent hotel which looked resplendent & inviting. We had a very beautiful suite which had everything you would expect , the his & hers wardrobe space and plentiful storage was great. Bathroom huge and huge waterfall shower....& I do mean huge! View not great from room but this is due to location and to be expected. We dined with a group in the evening in the regular dining area (not the Michelin restaurant) this was a disappointment as the service was SO slow, bordering on feeling forgotten. Also the bar service was epically slow. I think I was searching trying to catch someone's eye for over 20minutes. Then had to wait another 10minutes for a drink. That's way too long by anyone's standards. Especially as we were in a big group. The second evening we also had a very long wait for a few drinks. The hotel itself is wonderful and we would happily stay again. The breakfast runs until 2pm which is the cleverest idea ever! We got up had a jaunt around Vienna and came back for a late brunch before catching a flight. That was epic. The food is also utterly wonderful, everything catered for and wonderful to have a fruit/ginger shot. Staff impeccable and would highly recommend this hotel.
This an excellent hotel that has got the customer experience spot on. The staff were extremely helpful at all times. We thoroughly enjoyed the Spa with the nice mix of Saunas, steam room and pool. A perfect way to relax after a busy day sightseeing.
The building, restaurant and reception were beautiful on the eyes, but the room however was tiny! I think it's a little too expensive for the size it was! Other then that the service was good, bell boys very helpful. I enjoyed the yummy desert and drinks in the lobby had a cosy feel there too.
I came upon the Kempinski in Vienna a day after checking into another hotel in the same city. The other hotel, was, to be kind, not as nice as advertised, and as my mother and I were in Vienna for 7 nights, I wanted to switch as quickly as possible. Luckily the Palais Hansen had a room available, and we booked it. Arriving at the hotel to check in was refreshing. At the reception desk, Sarah Lena greeted us and before we could even turn around the bellman had our bags taken care of. As we had an early morning tour, and we were checking it at about 8AM, I knew a room wouldn't be available yet, for which they apologized profusely (even though check in time isn't until 3pm!). They offered us use of the spa to freshen up, but we were about to embark on a tour so they provided us with some bottled waters and we were on our way. Later that afternoon, after our tour, we arrived in the hotel. Our bags had already been taken up to our room, and the very friendly Sarah took us up to our room and showed us all the functions. I'll admit that this Kempinski has some of the coolest tech I have seen. Ipad to order room service and spa services, as well as newspapers and other applications (flight status, weather, city guides, etc). The room also had complete digital control of lighting (including night lights under the beds) and a fantastic oversized tub and a separate shower with both a handheld and rainhead shower that we nicknamed "Victoria Falls," because the flow was so impressive. After settling in, we headed out for dinner and returned to find that housekeeping had performed the turn down service, which was nice, and had refreshed the towels we had used in the bathroom. Excellent service. The next morning we had breakfast at the hotel's buffet, which also included anything from the menu (eggs benedict, pancakes, french toast and more. Try the FRENCH TOAST - incredible). The buffet also had a omelet station, an incredible array of smoked meats, fish, and a great cheese layout. They also had a do-it-yourself juice bar with baskets of fresh fruits and veggies, and a "wall" of different types of bread, croissants, fruit preserves, 4 different types of butter, multiple types of cereals, hot porridges, and more. It was an incredible breakfast spread. In short, our five nights at the Kempinski were heavenly, and a great relaxing cap to our three weeks in Europe. The staff were incredibly helpful and extra high marks go to Sarah for her friendliness and attention to my mother and me during our stay. This visit has made Kempinski a brand I will look for in my future travels.
I was for a city break with my wife in Vienna. This was our second trip to Vienna in the last 3 months and compared to the first one this was perfect. If last time we were in Hilton which was a terrible experience, this time was perfect. Kempinski Vienna is one of the best places in Europe. Besides the luxury rooms with all the things you need, they have a one star Michellin restaurant. The staff is more than politie and helpful. Excellent bar with great types of drinks and a smoking lounge so if you are a smoker you don't have to go outside in cold or rain to enjoy a cigarette. There were 2 things that I think are great. First is that the room was ready at 10 am, at the exact time we arrived so we didn't wait more than 5 minutes to check in. The second thing is that breakfast is from 7 am till 2 pm which is the best way to treat your clients, especially the ones in hollyday and the ones who don't want to get up early to get it! Thank you, Kempinski staff and Happy Birthday at your 120 anniversary! I recommend this place with my open heart!
Hotels are rated by cleanliness, room size, location and quality versus price. But the beating heart and true soul of the hotel industry, is the staff , the team & the greeting smiles. I have found the holy grail of hotel service staff in the Palais Kempinsky Vienna. This is not my first 5 star and not even my first kempinsk 5 star. But the service here is in a league of its own. The dedication above and beyond the regular call of duty, the genuine smile and amazing assistance provided to us to make us enjoy to the fullest this wonderful establishment and this wonderful city. Right off the bat we were greeted with what is (in my humble opinion offcourse) the best reception "technician" in the business. The minute attention to details, the perfect timing in each gesture to offer us an experience (hors paire). Rooms are new and up to the latest trend in automation Location is strategic and close to city center. Hotel building is authentic and beautiful. The gym is high tech.
Must try !!! Beautiful hotel ,perfectly located !!! It was one of the quietest hotel rooms. Restaurant 'Die Küche' is quite bright and friendly and the buffet is fresh, with delectable choices. The best breakfast in town.
