Nice hotel and spa and very near transport links. Bedroom is comfortable and sufficient. The best thing for me was late breakfast on the weekend, which is served until 2pm and offered a great selection of foods and drinks.
We have been very well received and the room was nice with all needed amenities. The hotel itself is building full of history and well refurbished to a top standard. Wellness and fitness was great and needed as the breakfast was of big choice and on weekends till14:00 hours. Thank you for your great hospitality :-)
Real 5 stars hotel in a quite neighborhood 15 min walk from center 100 m from u bahn ( 4 line) Excellent service from all employee Fluent English at reception Great room ( huge cupboard) and good water pressure at shower 24/7 gym Very good breakfast Nice atmosphere at lobby Kempinski at its best
The Kempinski rooms were superb and the Nespresso in rooms were quite welcomed. The only challenge is the reception check in area is rather small and you can't see around the pillars. With two entrances, you can be waiting in line, and someone else can come in the opposite door and walk right up. This location is not in the city center, but a short ride away on the ubahn. If you are attending events at the Messe Wien convention hall, it is two stops away. We walked two evenings to the city center and loved it, but if it is chilly you are better to hop on the U.
Last year we stayed at the Park Hyatt. This year it was the Kempinski. Both are of a very high standard, similar buildings and style, similar 5* room amenities, decor and bathroom, similar delicious buffet breakfast. In truth there is very little to choose between them. If you want a swimming pool, choose the Park Hyatt. If you want a slightly bigger (basic-level) room with less confusing lighting/electronics(!) choose the Kempinski. If you want to be steps from the shops, choose the Park Hyatt. If you want to be steps from the U-bahn, choose the Kempinski. If you want the most efficient concierge service, chose the Park Hyatt. If you want a slightly more friendly attitude from the all the staff, choose the Kempinski. I would be very happy to return to either of these luxury establishments.
I was there on business which was centred in the Kempinski itself. Despite spending a lot of the time inside the hotel, one could easily reach the most important tourist attractions, which are in great part within easy walking distance. The room was large and most comfortable. The temperature of the room, bathroom and shower could not be better. The lighting and light control were very well planned. There was a coffee machine in the room but it was not clear whether it could be used to make tea. Since there was no kettle, I just missed out on making tea. The usual things provided at hotels of this grade, such as a shoe horn and a sewing kit were not available. The bathroom accessories were excellent. Sound proofing was very good and so was the sleep quality. Breakfast was excellent and all staff, withou exception, were most helpful. The snacks provided during the business meeting were very tasty and nicely presented.
A friend at work recommended the Kempinski after staying a 2nd time, and it was a great recommendation Fantastic rooms, probably the best equipped and appointed I've stayed in, with service, location and style to match Kempinski hotels will be our 1st choice in future
Like most Kempinskis in Europe a very fine hotel. Service was wonderful throughout. The best part was the fantastic room. Very comfortable and modern. Bright and spacious. Knowing how to use the room iPad helps. Not the best location for me compared to other hotels in Vienna. This is also a very large hotel. It took me a while to find my room. It does feel like a little more business hotel than a vacation hotel. Can use a little more Viennese touch. But no doubt very luxurious and well serviced.
I will start this review by saying that over the years I have become a fan of this luxury european brand. I have had the good fortune to stay at a number of Kempinski properties. The Hansen Palace is no exception, and I am grateful for the late checkout and fairly quick turnaround on mistakes. There are a few things that I found peculiar during the stay. By no means an exception, I don't understand why luxury hotels still have rooms with double mattresses pushed together. I was also surprised that the living room area was systemically understaffed, and partly because of that the service was very slow. The living room staff were exceedingly young and did not have sufficient training or experience to work with hotel guests. Other than that, this is a nice property with an amazing Michelin restaurant - Edvard. It is certainly a good option and competes with the Ritz, Park Hyatt, Imperial, Sacher, and a number of other nice properties in Vienna.
Short stay, but very memorable, you feel like you want to live there forever, centrally located in Vienna, near to trains and very quite place, breakfast is one of the best buffet i ever had...highly recommend you to visit this place.
