Nice soft beds, clean white linens and great friendly staff that are very accommodating. Yes the rooms are classicly designed here but the hotel and area are very quiet which was great for catching some zzz Only complaint is that the ac in the rooms does not work very well.. it's warm and you can't cool it down no matter how long you keep the ac on for. The hotel staff came and checked it and said that it was working properly. The staff was great about it but I wish the hotel would consider updating this system as it appears to be a common complaint in the reviews Besides the rooms being on the warm side our stay was great

An extremely well run Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to assist you with any query you might have. Very well located to get to most of Vienna's attraction either walking or public transport. Would highly recommend this Hotel

Good breakfast, great bed, clean and cosy. A Peaceful and quiet place close to the tourism attractions in Vienna city center, walking distance even to the shopping street. Pleasant service at the reception.

Have just returned from a 3 nights stay in Mercure Vienna. My partner and I had 2 rooms booked in this hotel. The staff was kind enough to accommodate our request and give us rooms next to each other although the reservations were not made in the same time and the hotel was fully booked. The hotel is walking distance from the City Hall and the Museums Square, yet situated on a very quiet street. The rooms are large and you can enjoy plenty of choices for your breakfast, in a nice interior garden. The hotel also offers an underground parking (very narrow) for 22 euros a day. The only minor inconveniences I could find are that not all the staff speaks good English (although they are very polite and helpful) and the consumables in the rooms are very limited (sleepers were only provided upon request, no shower cap or cotton pads available in the bathroom). One in one, I highly recommend this hotel.

I really recommend, nice and quiet hotel, reception in the fully professional for a smallcharge we were able to check in earlier and got a bigger room. On foot you can visit all the major attractions.

The hotel is located close to metro station Rathaus. The room is OK, a little bit expensive compared to the facilities and amenities but indeed is very good location for visiting all the sights in Vienna on foot. There are a lot of restaurants around it. Walk out to the main street and turn right, walk around 5-10 minutes and you will get to Museum Quartier, if you keep walking and turn right then you get to shopping districts with lots of stores.

Our stay was OK - but not what we expected from a 4 star hotel in the centre of Vienna. The room smelled of mould, and the photos that they show online are NOT at all like the room we were given - horrible decor, very small and stuffy. The bathroom was okay - except for a sink tap that was automatic and was not working properly, making it impossible to brush your teeth, wash your hands etc. Reception staff were not helpful in any way. On one instance we called to ask if it was possible to get some cutlery up to our room, we were told that they would check and bring them up. We waited 30 mins and I had to call reception again. The reply given - 'We don't offer this service, come down and you can get it yourself.' .. They did not even call us back to let us know which I thought was quite rude. There is free wifi, but disconnects all the time. The only good thing to say is that the beds are comfortable and clean. However, I have stayed in much better hotels than this in Vienna - will not be visiting again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mercur Josefshof as part of a musical organization tour and trip to Vienna. We knew going in that it was a four-star hotel, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and with good A/C and comfy beds. We were close to restaurants, stores, and the western edge of the Ring Straße. We bussed to certain locales but if we had to walk to major sites it would have presented no problem. Breakfast was also very good.

Good location for visiting all the sights, either on foot or via public transport. The hotel website description of rooms etc. was very accurate. We had a standard room overlooking courtyard which was very peaceful and although dated was perfectly acceptable. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay, staff were friendly an approachable.

Very nice hotel. Stay at 2010 and 2017 - much more better! Highly recommend for all business traveler. Very quite room, good furnished, very clean. Ithink it is one of the best hotel at Vienna. U-bahn 100m.
