Clean and very spacious room with everything we needed and wanted. My only feedback there is that the hair dryer was so old and weak that it wasn't effective and needs replacing. The location is quiet and safe, and close to an UBahn station, and about 20 minute walk to the downtown core. Tons of good restaurants and shops nearby. We had our most positive and memorable interactions with staff at this location. Nathan at the hotel bar provided us with lots of good information on things to see & do, and even wrote lots of tips down for us. Yorgi (unfortunately I cant remember the correct spelling) was also a friendly face at check in and check out and made us feel welcome.

Wonderful boutique hotel in Vienna

Excellent location and super friendly staff. The rooms are all unique as it was a former apartment building. Cozy bar and games room for pre or post dinner drinks. Room temperature was perfect, but for those particular about AC know it is centrally controlled. Great restaurants nd cafes close by.

All the Check-In Reception Front Desk Staffs are so so very polite and very kind. Particularly, ( George ) is very very thoughtful, very helpful, and very very considerate. George goes through all the details and all the amenities that Hotel Josefshof Am Rathaus has to offer. HE shows where is the Restaurant Dining Room for breakfast in the morning. George loaned me a very precious "CHARGER" for my entire stay in Vienna, Austria and my entire duration stay as a Guest in This Prestige Over The Top, Outstanding Service "HOTEL JOSEFSHOF AM RATHAUS". So, now I go back to CANADA with lots and lots of great, amazing pictures of Vienna and wonderful memories of Vienna. I would also like to acknowledge the Beautiful Long Blonde Hair Young Lady Receptionist with her careful, thoughtful help utensil silvers. TRILOGIE did not provide me with any wooden or plastic cutleries. Overall, I am impressed and overwelmed. I was treated like I am a royalty king for the entire duration. On October 17, 2025 early morning at 06:35AM, I have returned the very precious "CHARGER" to the Young Man Dark Hair Reception Personnel along with the Check-Out Hotel Room Keys. Speaking of Young Man Dark Hair Reception, HE helped me call the Taxi for my Mother and me; so, I don't have to walk to the intersection street with my mother to hail a Taxi. In summary, I am very happy. Thank you very very much for all the Staff in the Hotel Josefshof am Rathaus !!!!!!

It is a good hotel. Close to museums, opera and very walkable. Excellent breakfast. A bit overpriced but highly recommended for city visit. No pool, gym etc. Very comfortable for mature, older visitors without a car... We would return...

Except for the room being quite dark due to its location, this hotel was perfect for Vienna first timers visit. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. We felt safe going out to the numerous choice of places for coffee, lunch dinner. Uber was great for visiting sites a little outside of the city.

The hotel is centrally located on a quiet one-way street. The service is superb and the building is extremely well-maintained. There's great attention to detail here and you won't be disappointed. The wifi is not the best but everything else made up for it.

Nice little hotel. Well located. Clean and comfortable. But I felt pressured by the description clerk to buy the hotel’s breakfast. Glad I didn’t because there is a fantastic 100 year old cafe very close by. I suggest you go without their 30 euro breakfast. Go left out the front door, left at the end of the block. Walk one block and Cafe is almost directly across the street.

Super hotel

Beautiful room in stylish hotel. Well located in quite spot within walking distance of city centre and museums. Didn’t bother catching public transport during our stay, other than to and from airport, which was easier than we had anticipated. Staff very friendly and breakfast was great, well worth the money. Would recommend.
