Nice hotel; decent value. The rooms are small and my bed was rather tiny and the mattress was a bit too hard for my taste. Friendly staff and proximity to the city centre partially made up for it.

Comfy bed and clean room! Great breakfast. Will certainly recommend!

Almost perfect hotel. Great breakfast, location, style.

I stayed here on a business trip to Vienna, I booked this hotel because it was close to the area the conference was held in. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The internet was fast and suitable for doing work. I would stay here again.

Very comfortable. Clean and quaint. Perfect for walking around the area. Staff was personable and friendly.

We have scheduled a tour to Coatia. Since we have a few more vacation days, we decided to stop over in Vienna to experience the famous capital of music. After searching through a list of hotels and studied the comments from previous visitors, we decided that Erzherzog Rainer hotel has the best quality-price for us, especially for the hospitality of the staffs. We arrived at the hotel slightly early and we got checked in quickly to a room. Although no offer was given to take luggages to the room, it was fortunate that only few stair steps to get the elevator. The location is nice, about 10 minutes walk to Karlsplaz and Stephenplaz where most of our activities were. We have to chech out the hotel early morning at 6:30am. The staffs had prepared delicious sandwiches for us to carry on the road for breakfast - very nice indeed.

Room was very small with strange bathroom arrangement. Location was away from the main area, and neighborhood was less than desirable. WI-Fi was provided on a limited basis with sign-in and sign-off every time you used it. It was very annoying. Staff did not go out of their way to be helpful.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel and loved the location. The tram stop was right along the street. The Metro was right around the corner just a couple blocks away. The buffet was plentiful with options of fruit, meats, eggs, yogurt, cereal and breads. Also, had assortment of cheeses, including brie. Great value for what you get at a hotel altogether. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a lovely, elegant hotel with the feeling of an earlier time. Clean, comfortable, great staff. I'd stay again, but I'd make sure to face the entrance not the strassebahn side - as that was pretty noisy during our summer stay. Ear plugs took care of it and of course, it is a city hotel.

Rooms are reasonably sized and the breakfast is amazing.

The Erzherzog Hotel Vienna would have been a nearly perfect value -- easy walking distance to the city and metro. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Reasonable prices. However, the WiFi internet access was spotty, slow and so unreliable as to make it nearly useless. Sometimes could not event connect, other times would get wireless connection and "logged in" status, but web sites would not load, or only partially load and hang. Some times domain names (e.g. "www.google.com") could not even be resolved. Even checking mail was an exercise in frustration.

Very close to museums and downtown area. Good value for the location.

very nice, clean hotel. good location, we walked everywhere, no need for public transportation. The breakfast was very good, good selection of food. Took advantage of the airport shuttle on the way back (much cheaper than taxi). Overall great value, highly recommend this hotel

First, I wished the room was larger for the amount I paid. I had a twin room that felt like a sophomore's dorm. The TV was also very small. I was on a three-city trip (Prague, Vienna, Budapest), paid a similar amount for hotels in each city, and what I received in Vienna paled sharply in comparison to where I stayed in the other two cities. Granted, perhaps I could have done better research. It also was not clear from this Web site that I was paying for a twin room, which could also have been my misreading but I did not see any clear print on this. To the staff's credit, they were very polite and helped me greatly as I tended to a sore Achilles my entire time there. And the breakfast was free. Regardless, I would not stay here again.

I've stayed here many times in the past and always had a good experience. This was the first time I have stayed here in the summer and I definitely noticed the lack of AC in the guest room but otherwise everything was great. The staff is VERY friendly and the location is excellent! One odd thing was that I had requested they order me a taxi that takes credit cards to take me to the airport. However, when we got to the airport the driver said that he did NOT take credit cards. Luckily I still had enough euros to cover the bill.

it was a very nice hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast and perfect location. My room was a little bit small. But it was OK.

Perfect location just outside of the Ring so less noisy. For the value could not have been better unless you are into luxury in which case you will pay more for frufru.

friendly service, central location, full breakfast, nice old flavor of a 19th century hotel. A true Wien experience!

I was going to Vienna for 4 days with a tight budget and the big breakfast was really a big +.

Good location, just a short walk from the Opera House. Great breakfast buffet. Our room was a little small but adequate and very clean. The bathroom looked like it had just recently been redone. Everything was in good taste! Very nice. The only negative may be that the ventilation could have been better. We are a couple in our 70's and had no problem walking to many of the museums and other sites.
