All stuff is very friendly. Breakfast is great (and particularly thanks for water melons)! Very clean. Place is near main center on foot and if necessary tram stop is just at the entrance. Would like to use this hotel net exe in other countries
Our stay was ok. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room could be better, for a standard 4 star, the bathroom was minuscule and in need of an improvement. We do not eat breakfast, so it is not possible to evaluate. The location is good, it is not very central but it has transport directly at the door and it is possible, if the guest feels like walking, to walk to the center. There is a square in the next block of the hotel with several good bars and restaurants.
First of all, I must say that it's not a vary bad hotel. Yes, I will point out some disadvantages, but they don't ruin your holidays, so, just be open-minded. Breakfast. The most dissapointing thing in this hotel. The lovers of bread will disagree with me, because there are a lot of choices for them, but I missed the variety of fruit and vegetables, there are some, but not much and it's a gread minus for me. Spa. If I can call it a spa. First thing you need to know is that there is no locker room, so you need to take your things with you to the gym or to the swimming pool if you want them to be save. Secondly, there is no steam room or sauna. The gym is okey and the pool is nice, but a little bit too small. And the strangest thing ever, there is no staff in this area. I mean, you just come to the spa floor, see the door, come and you are free to figure out how everything works yourself. Rooms. They are clean, small, but quite comfy. But I need to warn you that it's very noisy outside, so be prepared for that. Staff. The best thing about this hotel is staff, people on the reception are very nice and lovely, to tell the truth, I think most of them deserve to work in much better hotels than this one.
This is barely a two star hotel, definitely NOT a four star accommodation as advertised. The hotel is located in a rather bad, run down neighbourhood, just outside of the outer ring. The hotel security is poor - anyone can walk around the hotel at all hours. The access to public transportation is good. The shuttle taxi to airport is 42Euro. We booked a standard twin room with a balcony, soundproof, 2 twin beds, no smoking. On checking in, we got a room on the first floor without a balcony, facing the inner yard with a view of a garbage bins; on entering, the room smelled of cigarette smoke. When we asked for a room as reserved and complained to the hotel manager about the untrue statements and misleading photographs, he quickly put all blame on the Hotels.com agency, and let us know that we will pay a full price if we like the hotel or not, and demanded a full payment on the first day of our stay. The manager changed our room for one with balcony, facing the same inner yard with the garbage dump. The room was not soundproof, on some nights we were unlucky to be on the same floor with a busload of noisy teenagers and our sleep suffered accordingly. There was insufficient heating in the room, we got an electric heater from the management to bring the temperature to normal. After the second day, the cleaning of the room slacked, the floor was not vacuumed, bed sheets and towels changed once in about three days. We stayed 11 days. The one positive experience was the breakfast - there was a good selection of foods and beverages, good breads. The cafeteria was well managed with courteous and hard working staff. Were it not for the beautiful sites in the historical centre of Vienna, and the galleries and concerts that we enjoyed, our stay in the city would be totally ruined. Stay away from this hotel if you can to avoid disappointment.
Claims to be a 4 star hotel, I’d struggle to give it 2 stars. Apart from breakfast which is served by the most miserable looking staff, there is no bar or restaurant in operation after 10.30 am. Items that ran out at the buffet were seldom replenished. Absolutely no value for money got the breakfast. The room we had was in desperate need of work. The cheap laminate flooring was peeling. The fixtures were loose. The bathroom had a broken toilet seat. The housekeeping was in need of some quality assurance, as the floors under the bed were caked in dust, and the dirt grounded into the corners and around door frames attests to neglect over a long period of time. I would not recommend this hotel at all.
The room was quite small but very modern & clean . The view from my room was of the surrounding buildings at the back . The bathroom has a hand-held shower . No coffee /tea/kettle in the room . Heater was average ( it should have been warmer ). Reception was always friendly . Breakfast was good ! The hotel lobby was small & did not look 4 STAR - maybe some improvement in decor there...... but they offered complimentary hot tea , apples & candy ( great idea for winter ) ! A good choice !
Not the most luxurious of hotels we have stayed in. It was very basic. However, location was fabulous and the rooms and hotel were clean. You don’t go to Vienna to sit in a room so I would stay here again. It’s perfect so you can spend your money that you have saved on the trips. The 44 team was directly outside so was I a great location.
Stayed in sep 2016 (late review). The room was comfortable and clean. There is a tram stop right infront of the hotel as well as bus stops nearby making it easy to reach places of interest like the natural history museum and the Schonbrunn palace and zoo (which are a must see).
Nice hotel with great breakfast choice.tea coffee cereal fruit yougurt meat and a few cakes.also plenty of bread choice and hot food consists of egg, bacon and sasuage.short distance to the center on the 44 tram which is right outside the door.pool is free and fine.hotel was very cheap in fairness.on the downside no tea/coffee facilities in the room and the shower was not a powerful as it should be.also no bar in hotel either.
We slept at this hotel on our return from winter holoday at ski and it is not our first stay here but i think it will be our last. First time We stayed three years ago and everything was Good, the room was clean. This Year We got a very small room, the heater in the bathroom is not working, the room was not cleaned properly because there was a lot of dust on the table, there was spyder web in the hall corners. The room was also very cold, the air conditioning was not enough to heat the room So they left some electric heater on the floor. Definetely not a 4 star hotel. So sad
