Austria Trend Hotel Messe Wien3.0 out of 5.0

Located 2 walking minutes away from the Messe Prater metro station, the hotel is suitable both for families with children as well as businessmen. I liked: - the spacious room with a view to Prater park, well insulated (though there was a site, no sound was heard in the room). - the large and comfortable bed (we stayed there 2 adults and a 4 year-old child) - the well-organized bathroom - the breakfast based on eco and bio products (I was impressed by the types of bread available) - there are also running paths in the surroundings I didn’t like: - the glasses (for juice, water) were too small.
Great location, comfortable room. No plug for sink. Good breakfast. Was given a voucher for a free drink in the bar but when we asked for a coffee at a little after 10 one night we were told the machine had just been cleaned so we couldn't have one! We left a note of complaint when we checked out but haven't heard from them. This put a bit of a damper on an otherwise enjoyable stay.
This hotel is probably more suited to business people travelling to Vienna for 1-2 days, so if you're looking for somewhere with a bit more "character", it might not be your best choice. But if all you want is a comfortable bed, clean room and efficient service, it fits the bill. It is right next to a U-Bahn station which will take you to the City Centre in about 10 minutes. Only 30 minutes by taxi to the airport. No complaints at all.
The room have an amazing view... bed very comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and receptive. I loved the localization, near to public transportation and the Prater Park. I recommend.
We arrived early and were given our room keys the whole booking in process was seamless.the room was on the second floor twin room overlooking the university. Clean towels every 2 days, small fridge in room. We opted for a breakfast £10 each all the foods were grown in Austria. All the bread was freshly made on the premises the little jars of scrambled eggs really yummy. Fresh yoghurts and yoghurt drinks. Fruit, cheeses, jams and honey. Meats the choice was amazing strongly recommend the breakfast. Access to the hotel is best from the airport on the CAT line with 3 days travel on tubes, buses and trams for £35 approx, exit by prater messes station and a 5 minute walk to the hotel. There are plenty of shops, bars, and eating places to visit.
Nice staff. Perfect location to attend a conference at WU. Amazing breakfast with organic coffee, green juice, fruits and breads. Free wi-fi. A little bit far away from downtown, but you are pretty close to the metro station. You will be in Wien Opera in 15 minutes by metro.
We were in this hotel for two nights. Everything was great - very helpful staff, very quick check-in and check-out, high quality of service, executive room with a wonderful view of Pratr, minibar included in the room price and service for the preparation of selected coffee and tea. Breakfast good and excellent coffee. Thanks for the great time spent, this hotel is the number one choice for us when visiting Vienna.
this hotel is a great location if you want to be close to the prater or the wirtschafts univeristy tip1: die gruene huette: a 2 minutes walk to a restaurant with biergarten: typical austrian food. tip2: you reach the prater in 3 minutes: in the middle of it you find a water splash area for kids: wonderful in summer tip3: explore the campus of the unversity: nice food locations; try the pizzas at 'the campus' tip4: if you have small children: there is a play groud just opposite the street! helpful? enjoy it!!
We just checked in for the second time at this hotel. Our last experience was very good, this is not a luxury hotel, but it is clean, the size of the double room ok, clean and comfortable beds, and the location is perfect, for business or leisure travel. Close to the Prater, metro station, restaurants. The breakfast is good and the food is fresh and tasty. The ladies at the front desk are helpful and friendly. Last I used a travel internet site to book and we had a peoblem with the reservation that at the end was solved, so this time I tried the hotel's homepage, everything went fine, and we got a good. We would defininetly come back.
The location is great: next door to the splendid Prater, and a few minutes' walk from the Messe-Prater underground station. The Vienna University of Economics and Business is also nearby. Check-in: friendly staff, got information about wifi and breakfast without asking. Room: great view but everything else rather average, in particular the wifi did not work well in the evening with frequent interruptions - could their routers have been overloaded? Not sure. Worked fine in the afternoon and morning. No wardrobe, bed mattress way too soft to my taste. No complimentary bottle of water, although this probably matters little in Vienna given the wonderful quality of their tap water. Breakfast: fantastic, a very wide choice, great quality, fresh ingredients. Certainly a highlight of my stay there. On balance I probably wouldn't return given the wide range of options in Vienna but have reasonably pleasant memories except the "annoying" wifi.
