Nice value, great location, right next to a U-Bahn station. The breakfast could be better certainly, the toilet design as well as the shower design are odd, but are really not an issue. Overall, this is a nice option for staying in Vienna
We stayed in the hotel twice, once at the beginning and then again at the end of our trip to Austria. On both occasions the hotel staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and we really enjoyed our stays. The hotel is opposite a subway station which made exploring really easy. But we also walked into the centre of town from the hotel - the subway had engineering works one of the weekends we stayed. The hotel seems to be popular with tour groups of all ages and nationalities. But although the reception area was sometimes very busy, the hotel floors were extremely quiet. We had an unfortunate incident on our flight to Vienna which meant we had to use the hotels laundry service. Our clothes came back the same day and were beautifully clean and fresh smelling. Breakfast was great, very European and again the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We ate in the hotel restaurant one evening and the food was good. There wasn’t much on the menu that our children, who had decided to choose that night to become very picky eaters, fancied to eat but the waiter adapted the menu to cater to their needs - one plain pasta with cheese! The ice creams for pudding were huge and delicious! The rooms aren’t the fanciest but most importantly they are clean, the beds and pillows are comfortable. We all slept very well. Before I stayed I’d read some reviews and some people mentioned the bathrooms. I thought they were fine, but I did some mornings find it hard to get the shower temperature right, it kept changing. My only negative comments would be, it would great to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the shower doors are a bit dodgy! But on the plus side the hairdryers the rooms are some of the most powerful hotel hairdryers I’ve come across. We would certainly try to book this hotel on our next trip to Vienna.
Everything was good about the hotel the service, the smiling staff, the location... yes it is wheelchair friendly very wheelchair friendly we have the metro next to it and the bus stop is also just a minute away ....the breakfast layout was nice but only wish that they had more vegetarian options because my friends were all vegetarians even though I am not and they had a tough time because there were no hash browns, not any kind of potatoes or any other veg dishes ...people who are Non vegetarian can do away with eggs if nothing else.... I would not say the buffet was lavish it was just very basic but it was nice service they handled a very big group of 32 people nicely and efficiently ...the four stars I have only given because of the room be with wheelchair accessible bathroom is very small there was not enough space for me to keep my wheelchair and charge it... somehow I did manage... The bathroom was spacious no doubt about it and the other thing is I think every hotel whether a wheelchair accessible bathroom or not it should have a cabin or a curtain with some kind of facility that the water does not spread out in the whole bathroom making it wet and dangerous for people on wheelchair when after a bath they go to sit on the WC there are chances of slipping....
My family of three stayed there last week for a couple of days. The location is good for the access to the U-ban (subway) and therefore easy to get to the old town area. The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable, very austere rooms (but I get the vibe) very modern-German. We did NOT however appreciate the bathroom. Small was not the problem, but no hooks to hang clothing on, nowhere to put some things. AND the water would be cold and then with just a gentle touch it would be painfully hot, very touchy. The shower floor was extremely slippery, very unsafe, we had to use towels on the shower floor in order not to fall. Also, the sliding door to the bathroom got stuck often. We stayed in four different hotels in central Europe over 10 days and this one had the least interesting (but not horrible) breakfast. I would stay here again if the price was right as it was very clean, in a good area with easy access to the subway and beds were comfortable.

We stayed at this popular tour group hotel as part of a Gate1 trip. The Ananas (“pineapple”) is a large hotel with a long walk to the rooms UNLESS you discover the elevators in the banquet area which are a shortcut and cut down on the walk. I appreciated the hardwood floors vs. dirt-trapping carpet and the numerous electrical outlets. You will not run out regardless of the number of devices you brought with you (unless you have only one converter.) I was disappointed in not having a kettle for tea/coffee or bathroom amenities. Instead, there is a squeeze tube of liquid hand soap and a tube of hair and body wash. Water pressure and temperature are good but the shower is on the small side. The magnified makeup mirror is helpful for aging eyes. The rooms are spacious with walk around room between the twin beds. Getting anywhere in Vienna is easy since the Pilgrimgasse U-Bahn is across the street: Green line/U-4. If you are in need of McDonald’s, cross the street in front of the U-Bahn. The breakfast area is large enough to accommodate many tour groups. The fare is adequate. I had granola cereal and fruit with yogurt. The typical European options are available with lots of breads.
We were sent there by the airline because our fight was delayed! Old dated hotel like it was stuck in the 80’s. Old fashioned design, hostel like bathrooms, breakfast that is worth to skip. Go go there if you have another choice!
Lovely hotel overall...from checking in by Ahmed at reception great personality. ..the room was clean and good for value..as my wife and I are very busy with our careers we had a very comfortable sleep which was greatly appreciated. ..the breakfast was well laid out as well as welcoming and pleasant staff.. the hotel is located in a good part of vienna...I will be returning without a doubt. .
Well placed and well decorated rooms make this a great choice for a stay in the Austrian capital. Breakfast is good too however certain rooms are very noisy (near the lifts) and unfortunately the service in the bar is poor with a general lack of urgency on more than one occasion
It"s not a design or luxury hotel but it"s clean , rooms has new and simple furniture, bathroom is warm so very good in cold season. Hotel staff is kind and professional ..Close to center town and underground is 20 mt from main entrance
