We found this hotel to be ok. Its in a very good location for the price. We always walk everywhere, its about a 20 min walk into the city center. Our room had a TV and fridge but was very basic - think IKEA Scandinavian style. No toiletries. Odd shower, very small with bifold doors and the shower head faces out into the bathroom. No tea/coffee making facilities, no iron/ironing board, no clock, no facecloth. There is a safe in the room. Free wifi. The toilet is a 'dry' design, no water until the toilet is flushed. Odd and a little disconcerting, you'll understand what I mean when you see it! Breakfast is provided but again it's very basic with few choices. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant around the corner called 'Ghisallo' one half is a restaurant, the other half is a bike store, great food and very friendly staff :-)

This Hotel was a very good choice. The rooms were well equipped and if required a kettle could be borrowed from reception to make your own tea. The Hotel was 15 mins walk to the centre but the metro was just across the street. Excellent for travelling anywhere. From the hotel we would take the metro and visit every Christmas Market within the area. Breakfast was very good, but dinner, although good, was extremely slow. The Bar was also very good and stayed open late. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ananas hotel is a perfect choice for anyone who visits beautiful Vienna. The most important is that its right next to the metro station and only a few stops from karlplatz, the center of the city. The rooms are spacious, the mattresses and pillows comfortable, the heating excellent. the rooms are very clean, as the staff takes care of them every single day. The bathroom large, with bathtub. The only disadvantage is that it doesn't offer small bottles of shampoos, shower jels, cottons or anything else you might need(maybe an one use sleepers would be nice), just a big bottle of shampoo that you can use both for hair and body. Also although the tv is big it only offers a selection of austrian channels, if you don't speak german there is nothing you can watch in english except the news. The breakfast is very satisfying, it contains fresh cut fruit salad, yoghurts, corn flaks, scrambled eggs, sausages, cheeses, cake, a variety of breads, even soup. The staff very helpful and polite. It's the second time I stay at this hotel and I would certainly choose it again for my accommodation!!!

it was my first time in Vienna and this hotel is very close to the city, so you also can walk. it is a very clean hotel, huge bed, very nice bathroom. they have a very friendly reception! thnx a lot to the hotel staff

The hotel is at a great location with Metro across the street. City center only 2 stops away to great Christmas markets. Hotel is large with a lot of tour groups coming and going but I never felt it was so busy that the front desk didn't take time with my questions or breakfast area too busy. They had 3 breakfast areas going and served a very good breakfast. Our room was clean and spacious with comfortable bed.

A relatively big hotel. We saw many groups arriving. We arrived late at night and discovered that we got a room with separate single beds. In the morning we asked to change the room to one with a single double bed – our request was dealt with immediately with no problems at all and the front desk was friendly and efficient. The new room was small (even tiny) but had big windows with a city view. The room was clean and was arranged every day very efficiently. No amenities in the shower – just soap and shampoo in a tube on the wall. Breakfast was basic and enjoyable. The hotel is located right next to a city train station (U4) – from there to everywhere in the city with no problem. The famous food market is a station away. Bottom line: Satisfactory with a good location - especially with the price we paid which was very reasonable.

I was surprised to find a reasonable price of a four star hotel in Vienna. Did not really reflect the 4 stars, the rooms are small but offer what you need if not too demanding. Bed was comfortable and clean, rich breakfast for a long winter walk. The metro station is just across the street. Parking is available for 22 euro per night. We were traveling solo but would recommend to families.

We had standard room with double bed which was comfortable and what is most important, it was very clean. Staff is very friendly. Great location near city center, Naschmarkt is only 5 minutes walk away and city center about 10 minutes. Breakfast is very good, there is something for everybody. We were in this hotel for the first time but certainly not for the last, and I will kindly recommend it to everyone who is going in Vienna.

Positives: Staff is very helpful & friendly. Hotel is very near to the Tram station with proper local transport connectivity. Very nice breakfast with loads of varieties. Bathroom was quite big. Good wifi connection. Value for money deal. Negatives: Rooms are very small & congested. Since it's a big hotel my room was quite far from the elevator. There is no good view from the window, probably coz my room was on the back side. Would loved to have more lights in the room.

Spent two nights as part of a tour group (to which this hotel caters to so if your looking for less of a crowd this isn't a good place for you) during the Christmas Market season. Along with several tour groups, there was a large contingent of teens attending some type of seminar. With the large groups converging for breakfast, I will admit the hotel knows how to handle large groups. Pros: Location: U bahn station is directly across the street which gives you access to the city center (two stops to Karlsplatz) and just four stops from Schonbrunn Palace (U4 line). Breakfast: good fare, plenty of space. When we checked in the room smelled of smoke (was labeled a smoke free room) upon which I informed the front desk. They were quick to send up someone to spray air freshener. Prompt response was good. The spray did help dissipate the smell somewhat. Cons: Small rooms Dated furniture, carpet and not as clean as some Bed is way too soft Shower design - extremely small shower with two glass panels allowing water to spill into the bathroom floor; can be a safety hazard should you accidentally turn and hit the hot/cold lever (which I did). It's easy to do. Bathroom 'door' is a sliding frosted glass panel. Extremely hard to open door (again it's just old and can use a new handle mechanism). Room 115 has a great view of part of the roof over the ground floor and some inner courtroom between wings. There is a grocer around the far corner from the hotel and a few restaurant selections within easy walking distance. Wifi worked well in the room.
