I enjoyed my stay here at the Trend Ananas; it was conveniently located opposite the Metro system and close enough to the Nasschmarkt area for an afternoon or evening out. Facilities with the hotel area and all the staff we encountered were first class and very helpful. The rooms were modern well laid out and beds very comfortable. Small niggles; no tea/coffee making facilities??? The shower is over bath type but shower head faces outwards to the room and the bath screen was slightly lose so water escapes everywhere. I would stay here again.
Ananas hotel is a very good located hotel in Vienna with hospitable reception, they really care about you. the hotel gives you good service, the breakfast and lunch was good and the metro station was exactly in front of the hotel door that was very very comfortable situation for us..i will again choose this hotel if i come to vienna again,,,the Vienna itself was astonishing,,,
generally a good hotel a little far form center but metro station was exactly near as stated. good rooms but bathrooms not very spacious. breakfast had good European tastes. stuff very friendly . Vienna very expensive city for everything it offers
This is a very nice hotel. It is located right next to a subway line which makes it easy to get down to old town. Yet because it is not located in old town, it is in a quiet neighborhood. The Internet is fast, but requires logging on frequently. Our room was modern and the shower was great. The front staff seemed too rushed to help us with questions - it would be nice if they knew something to help the tourists. I would stay here again. We arrived via the train station. It is too far to walk, but easy to get to via the subway (the tube). From the train station, look for line U1 and take it towards Leopoldau (the direction of the "L" name) for two stops to Karlsplatz. Change trains to U4 in the direction of Hütteldorf (the direction of the "Hü" name, NOT the "He" name) for two stops and get off at Pilgramgasse. The hotel is across the street on the south exit. Easy! Use the U4 to get into old town or the other direction to go to Schrönbrunn Castle. We found it cheaper to get the 48 hour transit card from the dispensers in the subway stations rather than the 48 hour Vienna tourist card. We then got the Sisi Pass from the Schönbrunn Castle or the Imperial Apartments for entry to three locations.
Hotel is close to the train and an easy walk to Karlsplatz. It's clean, front desk clerks were very accommodating and professional. Rooms were clean and spacious for European rooms. Nice size bathroom. Breakfast was good. Several of our group ate in the hotel and had no complaints about the food. Lobby is pretty big, and there are lots of people staying here, particularly groups. Everyone was friendly and we had a very pleasant stay to end our trip in Europe. Would definitely stay there again.
Another booking fell through at the last minute, so we were transferred to Trend Ananas. We were put in an "executive room" which meant we got free non-alcoholic drinks from the mini-fridge. The hotel was nice overall, very clean, room was adequately sized, but fairly stark. The wifi was ok, which is important for us since we both work remotely. The bathroom was nice, but the shower was very small. If someone were larger than me, you might touch both sides of the shower stall at once. Parking for the car in the garage was 22 Euro/night. I give it 4 stars, because the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful, and the location was actually very nice as well for walking to Shoenbrunn palace and old town (~ 40 minutes each), but we like to walk.
I visited this hotel for 4 nights with a friend...the girls on reception were so helpful and friendly...Thank you Joanna and Simona. The room was very comfortable...we asked for extra pillows which arrived in minutes. The breakfast was adequate...no surprises over the four days but everything fresh...We were worried that the hotel would be too far from the center but the hotel entrance is over the road from the U4 underground station which takes you to the center Karlsplatz which is next to the Opera house...arrival in less than 10 minutes. Cons...no programmes in English on the television except CNN...the bath tub is very high with no support handle. PROS...Very clean..polite staff and close to metro.
This is a large hotel with many rooms so the lobby always seems to have people. The corridors seem very long, but our room was clean and adequate. The food is basic and overall the place is ok, value for money and very conveniently situated.
We are staying in this hotel. Wifi very slow and stopped some time. I was watching a movie on youtube and the wifi stopped and I haf to leave watching it. size of the bathroom small. The cubical for taking bath is very small. The water came out of the cubical when I was bathing. The hotel do not provide Tea Kettle in the room. We have stayed in many hotels and everywhere the Hotel provided a tea kettle and here it is not provided. Strange. Such a good hotel not providing basic facility. The ambience of the room is good. Very near to a metro station Pilgramgrasse. Except these two advantages I did not find any othetlr reason to stay in this hotel.
We stayed on the top floor, in executive rooms... I have no idea what makes them executive and would be scared to see the "normal" rooms. It had everything we needed, was clean, had A/C that actually worked... but nothing made it any different to most other hotels "normal" rooms. We had our dog with us, that was no problem. Parking underground was plentiful, but expensive. Breakfast is your normal German/Austrian Brotzeit, with scrambled eggs and bacon. Being a vegan, my breakfast consisted of juice, water, and a couple of cups of fruit. Their lactose-free yoghurt was still dairy, so breakfast was a real waste of money for me. And I find it too expensive for those who could eat the other stuff. The staff, though, were very helpful and attentive. Again, we were not in the "normal" breakfast room, but in a back room. If the price isn't bad, and you want to be close to the U-bahn, it's clean and quiet. I'd recommend it. But don't set your expectations too high.
