The bed was comfortable and supportive. They had an automatic Lavazza Espresso machine where you could make lattes, mocha, cappuccinos, but not decaf. The first room we were in the AC was broken. We moved to another room. The bath tub was very huge and perfect for relaxing in. They have this amazing smelling peppermint sage shampoo, conditioner,  lotion, and body wash. We ate at the Jacks Grill and Jacks Cafe across the street and had excellent food.

Nice but won’t return

The hotel itself is good. Our suite had a kitchen which was why we chose this hotel. That was good. Overall most of our negatives are not about the hotel itself but the “resort” overall. I thought it would be cohesive, as in one hotel option in a resort that overall offers amenities that all can participate in. In the end, it’s just a hotel on a mountain. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there is one across the street + one in the Westin beside it. There is no store (that we could find) other than a liquor store that just opened and has mostly empty shelves. There is a cafe that is only open until 1:30pm. There is an activity center with a pool but it’s $45 per person per day to use it. There is no discount for guests to play golf, and the golf itself is massively overpriced for what the experience is. It feels like such a missed opportunity for a more coordinated experience to have more dining options, more activity options, more shopping without having to drive down the mountain to the town itself (basic groceries even). It was nice, from a hotel perspective, but I will never return.

The room was not ready when we arrived a little after 4:00 pm and they apologized and asked us to wait about 30 minutes. The room itself was fine, but there were few amenities. The next morning I requested a late checkout and was rudely refused. I don't think the owners understand customer service.

The neighbourhood, trails, and surrounding property is gorgeous. We did not have time to go to the pub / restaurant / exercise facilities so cannot comment. We brought our dog and there were poop bags and a nice note outlining all the rules and expectations left in the room on our arrival, so that was really good and clear. None of that was a problem. At 7 pm we received a call asking if we were coming. We commented that we were on the highway and about an hour away and the caller asked if we wanted to cancel our (prepaid) room. Very odd and of course we said no and arrived at the time expected. Since someone was at the front desk long after we arrived, it wasn't a case of closing the front desk. Other than that the stay was fine.

We enjoyed our stay. We were on the first floor, would have been nice to be up and have a bit of a view for the price we paid. Everyday we got a text asking us if we needed anything which was nice. The room was large and clean. We hosted some family and friends for a happy hour with snacks so we liked having the counter space kitchenette area.
