Unpretentious and charming place in Vicenza

A simpke hotel but very comfortable with large room. Friendly staff. The only weak point is that the hotel is a bit far away by walk. But regular busses commute to the historical centre. Highly recommended!

Beware of ants

The hotel was ok except our room 105 was full of ants in 3 days they were still walking around when we reported this they said it was the only room with this problem .but ant powder was readily available what hotel have it ready to hand if they didn't have problems hmmm !

Changed my mind.

When we first arrived I was disappointed and thought it was a little run down. The neighborhood is somewhat residential and looks like it has seen better days. It was not what we are used to. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was small but clean. The bed was comfortable and the towels were soft. Breakfast was very good!

Nice, clean place to stay

We stayed there one night so we could get an early start to Venice the next day. Both people at the counter were very helpful and spoke enough English so we could communicate. They let us leave our car there for the day while we took the train into Venice which was only a 45 min train ride and cost us only 6 euros each. The bus stop was just over the hill from the hotel and we took that to the train station which was only a few minutes down the road. (2 euros each) The bus did not run very late so when we returned from Venice at 10pm we had to take a taxi back to the hotel which showed up at the train station within a few minutes of us getting off the train and we did not call for it. They must regularly drive up to the train station. Only cost us 10 euros for all three of us to take the taxi. The room was a little small for three people but was nice and clean. The continental breakfast was very good. Would recommend this hotel.

Decent stay, great breakfast

Hotel is located near highway exit, which is convenient if you just want to stay the night and move on with your trip the following day. There is parking in front of the hotel (free). Room was clean, cosy, free wi-fi, TV with lots of Italian channels. The breakfast was really delicious- everything from bakery to yoghurt to toast and salami. The staff was really nice and speak English very well. There is a great pizza place nearby- the staff will tell you where.

Within 30 minutes of walking to downtown Vicenza

The hotel is within 30 minutes walking to downtown/center of Vicenza. The staff was friendly and helpful, unfortunatly they don't speak much English so it was a little difficult to communicate. The breakfast is mostly cakes, which are good, but no bread just toast, no proper cheese. The hotel itself is nice considering that it is rated two stars, but the rooms' interior is somewhat old and simple. The bath was clean. What I disliked is that there is a lot of car traffic on the street next to the hotel and the windows leak much of the noise. It is paramount to have a room on the back of the hotel.

I admit to doing things on the cheap wherever possible... but expect that low-priced accommodation is due to small, basic rooms a little off the beaten track - not due to poor standards. My non-smoking room stank of cigarette smoke, and even worse of the huge quantities of 'air freshener'. Bedspread had a large burn-hole. Shower had black mould. This appears to have been a grand hotel once - now it's run down and tatty. They do put on a good continental breakfast. Free wi-fi is a nice bonus.

hôtel La Terrazza : j’y retournerai sans hésiter

Nous avons été accueillis par une équipe formée de personnes charmantes, disponibles. L’hôtel est d’une grande propreté qu’il s’agisse des parties communes ou de la chambre. Linge changé chaque jour, connexion wi-fi gratuite, petit supplément de 4 euros pour le petit déjeuner du matin. Cet hôtel se situe à l’ouest de la ville de Vincenzo, à 20mn de marche du centre historique (environ 1,5 km). Une ligne de bus passe à proximité. Je recommande vivement cet établissement. J’y retournerai assurément à mon prochain voyage en Vénétie.
