Nice located, Beutiful hotel, but service can be improved. Dust under bed and no uphrade due to platinum. Want to come back but miss to feel welcome. Lovely city and nice breakfast. Bar is ok and menu as well.
Great area. Nice friendly staff. Great breakfast. The breakfast was quite large and had plenty of fresh fruit. Location was close to many walking destinations and other places to eat, as well as being close to the harbor.
It's a good place to stay. In the middle of the city center. The hotel interior is nice. Pet friendly. The food is super duper delicious, i liked it very much! The staff is very nice and helpful. Lithuanian girl, name Kristina gave us a map and showed the "must" have to see places. She is adorable! The bartender was polite and helpful with our orders. The rooms... the room we had was small, but very cozy. Clean as well. So, we did enjoy our stay. We will come back! Greetings from Stavanger!❤
I tried to book the nicest (and as expected, most expensive) room for 2 people - the Deluxe Double. I ended up with an oddly shaped room with no windows to the outside, which looked NOTHING like the advertised photos. I do not appreciate playing russian roulette with my hotel rooms. It did not matter that I had booked 7 months in advance, and advised them that I was staying with them on the eve and night of my wedding. Horrible experience.
This hotel is my favorite in Kristiansand. The location is the best in town if you arrive by ferry from Denmark, and very central for everything else. We arrived after midnight, but after a friendly and speedy check- in, our group soon were in our rooms. My room this time was airy and rather spacious located on the top floor, which I recommend. The breakfast buffet is really good, with plenty to choose from. My favorite breakfast dish they also served - a freshly made omelet. One little detail - beware that when you arrive by the late ferry from Denmark at midnight, the bar is closed, and you can not get any refreshments. Our group would have liked to have a small nightcap together in order to discuss the program for next the next day. But anyway - I will be back.
The common areas in the hotel are typical Clarion - modern, quirky and well maintained. The room I stayed in had a very odd shape, and was cramped. Hotel layout is somewhat confusing, probably due to it being an older building that has been converted to a hote.
My favourite hotel i Krs. I always stay here👌 Great service, great breakfast and walking distance to city centre! The design of rooms and surroundings is very nice! You will live with all the restaurants and shopping streets pratically outside you window without it being any hassle.
We stayed at this boutique style hotel for a weekend. The reception area is vast and full of old style French furnishings. In one corner of reception is a staircase to the "Old section" of the hotel, it was built in 1858. There's no sign of age in most of the hotel, which was refurbished 5 years ago. Loads of modern art and colour makes this very central hotel attract to visitors. Rooms have great bathrooms. Service is excellent. Well stocked bar in reception, where you can also get snacks hot or cold. We especially loved the breakfast which ran until noon.
Me and my wife got granddad to babysit, so we had a night at Ernst Hotel. Dry AND wet sauna, pro work out facilities. Excellent breakfast. Perfect room, with the city pulsing outside. We had our room agains the street, but had no trouble with noise. Recommended!
This hotel tries to be very fancy, but that is only on the surface. Behind the facade it is just an ordinary hotel. Nothing wrong with that; comfortable room, nice food, quite good facilities for conferences, all in all good, just a bit boring.
