Hotel Fiera

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also a bus stop right outside that leads directly to the town centre. From the outside the hotel looks a bit uninviting, but on the inside it is much tidier in the lobby and the rooms are well presented. The rooms were also a decent size. There is no tea or coffee making facility, at least in the rooms we stayed in. The outer sheet was also quite poor quality and felt very old. There was also a hair in the bed, which suggested to me that it may not have been cleaned properly, but I was too tired at that point to say anything to the staff. In their defence, it could just have been the cleaner leaving a hair behind, but I have never had that in a hotel before. In the morning, breakfast was decent, and complimentary. There was a reasonable variety and plenty of space in a nice open room.

We were surprised to find a "4* hotel" which had many reviews for its good location to the city centre. On arriving we quickly realised that this was not the case at all, unless you were happy to use public transport/ taxis. As we were on a budget we decided to walk to the city centre (about 45minute walk) however, the neighbourhood was dodgy and we felt very uneasy. We very quickly decided that we would pay for a taxi back that night (€8). The room was decent and clean, although a little smaller than we expected. Facilities were good as were the bar prices. The breakfast was shambolic, no organisation whatsoever and the breakfast staff were extremely rude. We would definitely pay extra to stay in a more central hotel next time.

We booked this rooms because of the price. We were told the sofa bed in the room could accommodate two children, but it was only a twin, so that was a bit disappointing as we have two children. Asked for a roll away bed and they said they didn't have any (??) so the kids slept a little closer that evening. Not a huge deal, but just kind of a pain. Room was large and clean, but I would consider this a solid three-star hotel, nothing more. The neighborhood was perfectly fine, but it is nowhere near the city center. We took the bus or taxi to town and by the end of our stay we realized we could have paid for a hotel in the city center rather than buses and taxis for four people. Every bus ride to the city center was 6 euros and every taxi was 10 euros, so after a couple days of several trips to and from the hotel... that adds up and lesson learned! Breakfast had a lot of good options .

The hotel was clean and breakfast was average. It is far from town centre, even to go to the train station either you need to walk long (very near but no direct access) or catch a bus. Staff are friendly and helpful, but with average English knowledge.

The hotel is well located, outside the city, with a close by bus stop, bringing you straight to the Castelvecchio where you can start your tourist trip. Hotel offers all you need for a WE stay at a good rate. Breakfast buffet is more than sufficient and was in the price included. The four star category is overrated although the rooms and toilet accommodations were adequate.

We stayed here for 1 night, the hotel was really quiet I don't think we saw any other guests while we stayed, It is quite a walk from town, but it only cost 10 Euros in a taxi so not to bad. The rooms itself was an ok size and clean. We used the 'gym' while we stayed, I use that term loosely as it was basically a treadmill, 4 weights and a mat. We did get free parking though so that was a plus. This was a quick stop off for us, I wouldn't recommend staying longer than 1 night.

This hotel is maybe not four star, but nowhere near as bad as some of the views would have you believe. It's a five minute bus ride from the centre, but the stop is right outside, and the service is frequent. The surrounding area is fine to walk around at night, there is a great neighbourhood bar within a minutes walk. Never felt threatened at all walking around. Hotel is clean comfortable, and the usual buffet breakfast. Reception staff were friendly, and the bar is fine. Would definitely stay again.

This is a very nice hotel to stay in. Everything is very clean, rooms are spacious and hotel staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is great. A large variety of dishes are found that can please every taste. Not very close to the city center but a good choice for visiting Verona!

We stayed for the weekend and we're happy with the room and other facilities. It was a fair walk into the centre and first part wasn't particularly pleasant. Breakfast time was chaotic. The staff constantly stocked up the croissants, cakes etc but the hot food wasn't. If you asked for anything you got barked at and one morning we watched 6 staff set a table for 4 people and they still forgot the condiments. Absolutely no organisation whatsoever. Because of that we wouldn't return here

This hotel is not worthy of having four stars. Stayed here as a couple with my partner and on the day of arrival we had to wait 5-6 hours until our check in, their was no mention of check in times or check out times when you do book with this hotel. The room they offered to keep our luggage in was in no way secure, had no lock and anyone could go in it. When we did check in we found that a large bed is just two beds put together with two separate mattresses creating an awkward and uncomfortable gap in the middle. The area of the hotel is not the greatest, there are large bins right outside the hotel which are always overfilled. You would not want to walk around in this area. The walk is at least 30 minutes to the centre though there are busses. The services the hotel provides aren't the best. On two of the nights we wanted to eat at the restaurant which was apparently open daily from half 7 to 10pm we were told it was closed with no explanation to why and no alternative places given. The breakfast in the morning was okay, a lot of the times the food was gone and not being replaced, the staff were hardly seen around. Feels as this hotel was not well staffed. The free internet is very hit and miss, we weren't counting on it working and it rarely worked. I would not recommend this hotel and would not come here again. Having stayed at an actual 4 star hotel this is not even close to being classed as 4 star.
