Love returning to the Inn. Just stayed in the Snook room. We've officially stayed in all of the themed rooms. Favorite? Not sure. All have beautiful murals, private bathrooms, comfy beds and unique furnishings. Lovely common areas and fantastic rooftop view. Breakfast items are provided but enjoyed brunch downstairs at Pineapple Jack's with bottomless mimosas. Our favorite getaway inn and owners!
Super friendly owner who is fully involved. Boutique spot with a great location. I even had the room closest to the train tracks and it was not an issue. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.
We arrived late afternoon/early evening and were geared by Scott in the Bistro. He showed us the common areas, gave us a little history and showed us to our room. There is a long staircase in the front or an elevator in the rear. This place is great, modern with the older world feel. Our room was ample, the bed was comfortable, good sheets and pillows. The roof deck is a nice place to sit and take in the area with views of the river. The trains go by across the street, but they have put in impact windows diminishing the noise. We went to Pineapple Joe's for dinner and seafood pasta and were very happy with our meal. So convent too. Or you can walk to any number of other restaurants and pubs.My only suggestion would be put out a container of cream for coffee and loose the environmentally damaging itty bitty plastic things. I would definitely stay again.
After parking the car and going to the entrance, a hotel employee showed us to the back of the building where there is an elevator as a long looming staircase would be facing you otherwise. She kindly showed us our room with all the special features that makes this hotel very quaint and special. The train came through a few times during the night but it wasn't a problem, just brought back memories or when trains ruled the transportation world. The owner met us at breakfast which was in a well decorated room with comfortable chairs and tables. Each room has a breakfast food 'cubby' and there is plenty in that cubby. It was a pleasure staying in a place with lots of character and charm.
I stayed two nights at the Inn and found it to be very comfortable, clean, convenient. The location is right amongst the bars, shops and restaurants and only a short walk to the river. My favorite part of the Inn beside the easy parking, was the roof top deck. Its a great view and at least when I visited, I had it all to myself.
Thanks to a detailed website, making the reservation direct online, and reading the reviews on TripAdvisor -- I knew what to expect, and made my decision to stay here based on the location, rate, and cozy feel to the rooms. I was not blown away, but I was very happy with my choice. The train noise through the night, and the 'at-your-convenience' breakfast were both acceptable because I knew what to expect ahead of time. The hotel met my expectations, and I would stay there again. I would also recommend the hotel to others, with a caution about the train noise.
I seldom write reviews, but this boutique gem was too remarkable to stay quiet. Since I was arriving after hours at check-in, the owner provide clear and friendly instructions to access the keys to the building and my quaint "Stingray" room. Once inside, it was hard not to relax and dream in my big plush bed. The bathroom was pristine and stylish. Beautiful hardwood flooring and wood furnishings fill the room, halls, and common space. White-painted shutters brightened things up, and closed shut completely for nighttime blackout bliss. The breakfast selections were a perfect way to wake up (especially Indian River O.J. and Greek yogurt), but the real treat was the Pineapple Bistro downstairs (exquisite clam chowder, fresh seafood entrees, friendly staff). Wifi was consistent and reliable. Location can't be beat, and the train line is really no big deal with a little white noise app or machine. Bottom line, it was hard to say goodbye after a 3-day stay, and I hope for a chance to visit again.
Fun location close to the beach. Large room with very comfortable bed. Very clean. Parking was very convenient Communication with Elizabeth was very easy and helpful Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Yes it was convenient and organized into bins for each room. But Kreuig coffee, a bagel, an apple, bottled OJ and trail mix?? Not really what I expected for the price. Never meet or saw any employees.
This place is beautiful! The beds are so comfortable and the owners know exactly what they are doing. You can eat your continental breakfast whenever you want. There are at least five restaurants within walking distance and most of them have bars and live music- including Pineapple Jack's which is attached to the Inn and is so fun. Bobby the bartender is super nice and makes a great pineapple margarita. So fun and relaxing.
We arrived early and could not check in yet, which is fine of course, but we found it strange that we were not allowed to put our luggage inside the hotel. Next to the hotel were four reserved parking spots for hotel guests. I had to use my earplugs because of the trains and our noisy bed. The breakfast basket was fine. Some of the ingredients were nice on our hike the day after we left. We stayed only one night in this beautiful house of 1906 in the Gator room. Thanks to the owner we made a very nice detour via St Augustine on our way to DeLand.
