The best part of the hotel was the location. On the beach. The room did not have a closet or dresser to put away your clothes. Needs updating. Parking is $ 15.00 a day. Wont stay there a again .

We stayed here because it was suggested by Jackie Robinson Training Complex we played a tournament at. I’ll start with the positive. The location is nice because you can fish off the dock and the area is ideal for kids. However, the rooms are disgusting and the pool area was even more disgusting. Our room was dirty and outdated. Mildew around the sink, bathtub did not drain during a shower, hair on the ceiling, crappy bedding and two different sized beds. It’s like the place was pieced together with whatever furniture they could find. The nerve to charge what they are charging per night is robbery. Hot tub was green and slimy. I wouldn’t let my kids in it after the first day. They put an out of order sign after one of the team parents complained about it. Hotel staff is rude and not helpful at all except the woman behind the desk. She was the only helpful person. I asked for my room to be cleaned after being there for 3 days and got an attitude. If you are playing at Jackie Robinson and MLB suggests this place to stay at, steer clear. Find another place on the beach or stay closer to the complex.

My cousin and I checked in at around 10:30pm on 1/30/26. The property was a little run down but the evening desk staff was very nice. It was late and I was too tired to say anything about the condition of the property. On 2/1/26, our first full day there, I attempted to take a shower and no hot water came up. They called maintenance, the technician came up, and he told us that the reason we had no hot water was because laundry was being done. I could not even believe this was the reason there was no hot water and how it was said to me as though it was a normal occurrence. I approached the front desk agents in tears because I traveled there from Massachusetts for a family death and my cousin and I didn't have anywhere to go or any extra money to pay for a stay somewhere else. After convincing them that I had no extra money and nowhere to go, and that this was no way to be treated by (what was supposed to be) a highly-rated resort, they issued me a refund for my remaining two days and we checked out. I was able to find us a room at a different property that turned out to be absolutely spectacular, so I suppose this was all a blessing in disguise. However, my rating of the Hutchinson Island Hotel is still a terrible one.

They said they would call us when our room was ready but they never called. We had to check with the front desk. Floors were dirty as were the carpets in the hallways. The hot tub did not look clear and clean. The breakfast was good.

UNFORTUNATELY, WE HAD NO HOT WATER FOR OUR 2 NIGHT STAY AND THE FIRST NIGHT WE HAD NO HEAT, THANKFULLY WE HAD A BLANKET IN THE TRUCK SO WE DIDN'T FREEZE. THEY WERE ABLE TO FIX THE HEAT FOR OUR SECONG NIGHT. THE VIEW WAS BEAUTIFUL AND THE HOT TUB WAS HOT!

The WiFi and hot water stopped working while we were there for 2+ days, maybe longer but we left to a new hotel. This was during the recent extreme cold snap and it was not possible to give the baby a cold bath or take an ice cold shower. Floors in the room were very dirty. They only sweep, they don’t mop. Your socks or bare feet will be completely black after your shower in 5 min walking around the room. The hotel needs updating in general. Phone didn’t work. Bad lighting, even with shade open and the lamp on it was still dark. Maybe to hide the dirt.
