Hotel Princess is a great base to take some hikes in this part of the Pyrenees. A very friendly and helpful staff (hiking tips book in the lobby, as well as many other activities in the region). Great beds so we slept well, and the restaurant had a delicious dinner and good breakfast.
Comfortable rooms with everything you need. The owners of the hotel are wonderful, friendly persons. Good breakfasts: yogurts, croissants, cheese, jamon, ham, bread, fruits. The hotel has a restaurant with a Michelin star 2019.
I had a 3 day weekend and was ready to get away from the heat in Montpellier. The Pyrénées were calling my name & the Princess Hotel was just right for a solo traveler. The single room was updated & comfortable. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The village is charming and near to Vauban’s fortress and the Petit Train Jaune.
We stayed here slightly off season which may have accounted for it being quiet. Very nice friendly patron . Rooms were adequate. Warm and comfortable with rather dated bathrooms and hand held shower. Breakfast was good without being spectacular .
We stayed here for two nights and were very well looked after. Ate dinner in the restaurant which was wonderful. Service and welcome were superb. The rooms were excellent with a balcony with views over the mountains. Another review suggests that this hotel may be nearest to the "Yellow Train" station. That may well be the case but it is about 5km away.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay in early September. The room was well-maintained, the bathroom modern and spacious, bed very comfortable, and a balcony with lovely mountain views. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff friendly. Dinners far exceeded our expectations and are very good value - excellent choice and quality of dishes. The owner speaks very good English. Vernet is in a lovely location and has lots to offer, especially for hikers. It's also a good base for touring the area. We hope to return in 2019 - maybe for a week next time as we enjoyed our stay so much.
Wanting to stay for a concert during the Pablo Casals festival at Prades, we found this 3-star hotel up the valley a bit. It seems to cater for ramblers mainly. A bit old, having been built in the 80s, has adequate rooms that are clean, no air conditioning just a ceiling fan above the bed. The staff are friendly, the food in the restaurant is good and the breakfast is “continental”.
Nice hotel with very helpful staff. Good room with balcony and good view. Restaurant very good. Perfect location for exploring the area. Vernet les Bains is a very pleasant town to stay in. We would return.
we stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the mountains, with stunning views. the room was very clean and comfortable. we were visiting the petit train jaune and the location was excellent for this. it was between seasons, so the hotel was quiet but staff were friendly. the menu du jour was excellent and breakfast featured home made pancakes and pain d'epices, which was a lovely touch. it's worth a walk up to the village, which is very pretty.
Simple hotel - with several room options. I stayed in the smallest / cheapest and it was a good stay for one night. Bathroom has good water pressure, wifi works above average. There is parking on the premises. I was there low season and the place was very quiet.
