On the first floor of the LA SCOGLIERA residence, in a wonderful panoramic and sunny location, looking directly out over the lake in Verbania Pallanza, is the ANITA flat. The living room is elegantly furnished with some period pieces and features a sitting area, satellite TV, a dining table and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen. There is also a bathroom on this floor with a whirlpool bath. Climbing the stairs leads to the second floor, where there are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two single beds, plus a bathroom with a shower. From this floor, a private staircase leads to the jewel in the apartment’s crown: a private terrace of approximately 25 square metres, equipped with parasols, sun loungers, chairs and a dining table, from where you can enjoy a stunning 180-degree view of the lake. In the basement of the residence, there is a reserved covered parking space. From there, a lift is available to take you up to the flat. Below the residence, a staircase leads down to the private beach, which is equipped with a changing room. Situated on the Pallanza cycle path, the town centre is a 5-minute walk away, with shops, restaurants, the harbour (with ferry services to the Borromeo Islands), beaches, swimming pools and the tennis club. Only small and medium-sized pets are permitted; they are not allowed on the beach. It is strictly forbidden to light open fires inside the house or on the terrace. The rocky shore/beach has no lifeguard service or assistance for bathers.

Top location, impractical house

Our stay was excellent. The house has a beautiful roof terrace, which, however, has to be reached from the kitchen by two flights of stairs. The roof terrace has good sun protection via a canvas that can be extended. Unfortunately, the flat has no balcony and lake views (only the roof terrace, but then that is fantastic!). The kitchen has limited equipment and the lighting is not fully functional in some places (including the kitchen). For us the flat was suitable but for smaller children or people with mobility problems it is not recommended.

Tolle Lage, Wohnung mit Verbesserungsbedarf

Wir haben als Familie ein paar Tage in der Wohnung verbracht. Sehr gefallen hat uns die Lage zwischen Intra und Verbania als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge aber auch für Spaziergänge zum Kaffeetrinken oder Abendessen, bei denen das Auto in der Tiefgarage bleiben konnte. Die Treppe in der Wohnung und die Treppe zur Dachterrasse sind steil. Das Haus selber ist gepflegt, der Aufzug für den Transport des Gepäcks sehr praktisch. Im Haus war es ruhig, die Straße hinter dem Haus ist deutlich zu hören, hat uns aber nicht gestört. Die Wohnung liegt im oberen Bereich des Hauses und der Straße zugewandt und ist verhältnismäßig dunkel. Die Schlafzimmer liegen unter dem Dach, d.h. an heißen Tagen wird es dort trotz der Verdunkelungsmöglichkeiten recht warm. Die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse ist ein Traum und das Highlight der Wohnung. Der Kontakt mit der Agentur war professionell aber unpersönlich. Auf geäußerte Kritik beim Check-Out wurde mit Schulterzucken reagiert, Bemühen um den Gast war nicht spürbar. Die Wohnung selber fanden wir in einem verbesserungswürdigen Zustand vor. Die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig (Kühlschrank nicht gereinigt, Haare im Bad) und es gab eine Menge kleiner Ärgerlichkeiten (nicht schließende Insektengitter, defekte Fahrräder, verkalkter oder defekter Duschkopf, Öffnung zur Dachterrasse ist sehr schwergängig). Die Matratzen der Einzelbetten sind durchgelegen und für Erwachsene zu kurz. Es entsteht insgesamt ein etwas liebloser Eindruck, was angesichts des Potentials des Objekts schade ist. Die übliche Infomappe (wo ist der nächste Supermarkt oder ein gutes Restaurant usw) fehlt ganz. Zuletzt: Für einen so stolzen Preis wäre es nett, wenn die Bettwäsche und Handtücher nicht noch extra bezahlt werden müssten.
