A great apartment

A great apartment which was extremely easy to find. As a single traveller I felt safe at the property. Celine was a superb host and nothing was too much trouble for her, she always answered my questions fully and promptly. The apartment had everything I needed, including onsite parking and a great outside space. A car is essential to get around as the property is in a small village with only a local store and baker a 15min walk away and one bar/restaurant 10min away which only served food on some days. There are several larger towns along the coast within an easy 15min drive that have more choice. A great time away and I would certainly consider returning if I was in the are again.

Quaint space accessible for an amputee

As an amputee who walks by day and uses a wheelchair by night, it was incredibly difficult to find any VRBOs in Normandy that actually would allow me easy access at night from the bed to bathroom. This was the best feature. We were very disappointed that we did not have internet access our whole trip and even getting cell phone data was inconsistent. The place has enough for comfort, but really felt like items were fragile. Also, all directions were thoughtful explained in a booklet, but was all in French. Due to a lack of internet we couldn’t translate directions and spent loads of our time trying to figure out how to operate the washing machine or getting the futon to lay flat. On a positivé note, it really is a short walk to the beach.

Good, but could be better

Lighting needs improving, no full length mirror, light by side of bathroom basin useless for a wet shave, no plug for bathroom sink and instructions for use of washing machine, microwave etc in French only. Storage facilities a bit sparse but hosts were charming and very helpful.

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung wohlgefühlt. Mit einem Rollstuhl ist sie etwas eng, aber mit einem Rolllator kommt man gut zurecht. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Der Strand und die Promenade sind sehr gut und in 5 Minuten erreichbar.

Nous avons réservé ce logement car adapté PMR. Accompagnée d une personne en fauteuil roulant , le logement était conforme à l annonce et parfaitement adapté.Logement très propre et très joliment décoré. Le contact avec la propriétaire s est très bien passé et elle restait disponible si besoin.Localisation parfaite pour visite des plages du débarquement.
