Beautiful, spacious, modern rooms. Great shower. Stunning view from the room, pool and restaurant. Truly breathtaking. The only two drawbacks for me were: The location: far up a hill with nothing nearby. As someone without a car, I’m glad I was only staying one night because taxis in Albania are expensive. At the same time, you can’t get that view without being high up. If you have a car or ample budget for taxis (35-40 euros round trip) you might not mind as much! The restaurant: Dinner at the restaurant was not great. I had the chicken risotto and ended up eating around the chicken. Drinks were good. Wine was great. And breakfast was really great!

Sol Tropikal was a nice spacious hotel to stay at. The bathroom was very nice, extra large bed and a massive balcony. The room came with a large sofa as well. The cleaners are very good and mopped the floors everyday. Generally very nice staff and atmosphere. I would say a good family friendly hotel. Easy short walk/access to pool and beach. Adult and child pool very good water level. Very enjoyable for all age. Clean beach and everything well maintained, would 100% recommend. Breakfast was very basic we only had it 2 days out of the 6 day stay as it wasn't something we would want to eat, wish they had more authentic items like borek or different. Just a small variety of basic stuff so not interesting for adults or kids. Therefore didn't eat at the hotel at any time. Outside there is local shops and restaurant (halal) but we chose to travel around Durres for restaurants. There is no porters at this hotel therefore expect to deal with your own luggage, they did help us as we had two young children in prams which was nice of them. No iron in the room but we asked house keeping and they gave us one which was very good. Reception is in a different building to the actual room we stayed at. It is located around 5 mins away with no staff in the building, so each time you need to go to reception you have to travel to another building. Generally very good.

We had a wonderful stay at San Angelo Luxury Resort. The whole resort is beautifully decorated, peaceful and spotlessly clean, with very comfortable and spacious rooms. The pool area is absolutely amazing and was one of our favourite parts of the hotel - beautiful, relaxing and very well maintained. Another huge plus is that the pool, restaurant and bar are open 24 hours, which we absolutely loved and made the stay feel even more relaxed and convenient. What really stood out was the service. The entire team were amazing - always friendly, helpful and attentive. A special mention to the reception team, who were incredibly welcoming and always happy to help with anything we needed. Housekeeping was perfect throughout our stay. Our room was always spotless and very well looked after. We also had a fantastic experience at the spa. The facilities were beautiful and relaxing, and the Thai massage was amazing - definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The location is also fantastic. There are so many amazing restaurants, cafés and shops right outside the hotel, so everything you could need is within easy walking distance. Overall, San Angelo Luxury Resort is a beautiful and peaceful place with fantastic facilities, gorgeous pools and, most importantly, an amazing team who really make you feel looked after. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return!
