The Space:

Inside, Buiten de Veste 36 feels light and spacious, with a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for travelling together whilst still allowing everyone their own space.



The kitchen is equipped with, amongst other things, a five-burner hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine with coffee, kettle, toaster, blender, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, cookware, baking paper, plates, cutlery and wine glasses; you can easily pull up a chair at the dining table for breakfast or a leisurely meal. In the sitting area there is a decorative indoor fireplace that cannot be used.



On the ground floor there are two bedrooms: a double room with a double bed made up of two separate mattresses, and a room with a bunk bed. Upstairs is a spacious double bedroom with the same type of bed and an extra single bed; this room also has a washbasin. On the landing there is a cot, without an extra-thick mattress. There is cupboard space for your belongings. For children, there are children’s books and toys, children’s crockery and board games, and a high chair is provided.



The bathroom has a bath with a shower. The toilet is separate.



You have a washing machine and tumble dryer at your disposal, plus an iron. Bed linen is provided, as are extra pillows and blankets.



Outside, there is a south-facing balcony with seating, a spot for a cup of coffee in the sun or a book in the afternoon. Pets are allowed; dogs must be kept on a lead within the complex.



Guest Access:

You can park for free at the accommodation or on the street in Veere. On arrival, take the first left for the car park.



There’s no bike storage. Pets are allowed. For directions, parking tips and the arrival procedure, check your Boarding Pass.



The Neighborhood:

You’re staying in Veere on Walcheren, by the Veerse Meer. A historic place with quay, city walls and narrow streets. On the balcony of Buiten de Veste 36 it’s easy to unwind after a day outside.



On the Veerse Meer you can sail, paddleboard or go boating. On land you can walk over the fortifications and along the harbour. Visit the Campveerse Toren, the Grote Kerk and Museum Veere. If you love cycling, loops around the lake and through the Walcheren countryside are a natural choice.



Nearby are Middelburg about 7 km, Vrouwenpolder 7 km and Domburg 13 km. Across the lake you’ll find Kamperland, a 12–14 km drive. Vlissingen is about 14 km away. This way you can mix watersports, town and beach without long distances.



Getting Around:

At Buiten de Veste 36, free parking is available at the accommodation, just take the first left. The property is on the first floor, but you have a private entrance, making it easy to manage everything during your stay.



Other Things to Note:

Start your day with a loop over Veere’s city walls and then step into Museum Veere (the Town Hall and De Schotse Huizen) for a compact slice of local history that kids can follow too.



For lunch or dinner, De Campveerse Toren on the Kaai is a good bet; in spring ask for Oosterschelde lobster and pick a table with a view of the Veerse Meer.



In summer, take the Veere–Kamperland ferry with your bike and ride to nature reserve De Schotsman for a short trip past little beaches on the Veerse Meer.
