A blend of tradition and modernity, Vaujany offers visitors the very best facilities for skiing, skating and hiking in the heart of a breathtaking natural environment. Vaujany is one of the 8 communes of the Alpe d'Huez Grand domaine Ski and Grand domaine VTT and is now a privileged gateway: 250 km of ski/mountain bike runs and 90 km of signposted footpaths await you. Take the cable car up to the Pic Blanc for a 360° panoramic view of Mont Blanc, Grand Paradis, La Meije and Les Ecrins... The Alpe d'Huez ski area comprises 5 resorts and 2 villages: Alpe d'Huez, Auris en Oisans, La Garde, Le Freney d'Oisans, Oz en Oisans, Vaujany and Villard-Reculas. The great thing about this area is that you can ski for miles on end without taking any lifts! There are some legendary itineraries, including the 16km Sarenne piste and the Tunnel piste, which crosses the mountain and leads to one of the steepest walls in France, with a 35° gradient. Other attractions include the 'Famille Plus' label and 300 days of sunshine a year!
