Hotel de I'Horloge

Our Junior suite was quiet, well-appointed, and in a great location. The breakfast was overpriced for our preferences, so we had breakfast in a nearby café. We enjoyed the neighborhood by the square with its carousel.

We stayed here for three nights. We asked for a quiet room and got one - essential as the hotel is on the main square. The staff were al reallyl friendly and helpful. It's near everything and only a short walk from the (discounted) car parks. Aircon is quiet too, a bonus. Only thing I would say is that our room was a little dark - it was long and thin and the big brown wall didn't help, neither did the gloomy brown curtains hung floor to ceiling - but maybe that's because I'm into interior's really a minor point and we will certainly stay here next time we come to Avignon.

We stayed at Hotel de l'Horloge for five nights. This hotel seemed to be the only place available even though we tried to reserve accommodations several months before our trip. Most hotels were not available because of the annual film festival in Avignon in early July. The hotel is overpriced for what it offers. It is housed in an old building that has been renovated but you can still smells the age of the place. Our room was clean, had a comfortable bed but the furnishings, carpet, and furniture were dated and in need of change. The room had a small refrigerator that was full of different drinks. Consequently, we could not store any fruit or water bottles. The level of service at the desk was rather uneven. While some receptionists were helpful and pleasant, there were others who were rather indifferent. The hotel is located close to many places of interest to visitors, shops, and restaurants, all within walking distance. The train station is within a ten minute walk. We were in France for five weeks and stayed in nice hotels in various parts of the country. Hotel de l'Horloge was the least desirable and the most expensive choice. We would not stay there should we visit Avignon again.

We had the suite which was a great room. Great views! You have to a few stairs no access to a lift but worth the steps up. Location was amazing, staff is very friendly , nice apothecary and in room amenities, and overall a great feel!

great location in the city, nice staff, breakfast was good. We really liked our family room on the top floor. price quality is excellent. we will come back and also recommend it to friends. We just spent 1 night

They helped me a lot when I had some health issues. They helped me to go to the emergencies in the middle of night and were very willing to help me for anything. I cannot thank them enough for their warmth and kindness. Thank you very much.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Room was very spacious by European standards, with lots of storage in the bath. Rooms are a little quirky, but this is due to the building being very old. Breakfast is excellent. The desk staff were wonderful, helping us with reservations for dinner and excursions. Location of the hotel is very central in Avignon. Would stay here again.

The hotel is located impeccably for the city's attractions. The bed is very comfortable and the AC work perfectly. There is however little space in the bathroom for toiletries and I would have expected more from the amenities. The staff is very welcoming and professional.

This hotel is in the heart of the city and very well kept up. The room are clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night but it was enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Avignon!!

We really enjoyed our short stay at this hotel - very nice bedroom (although I was very envious of the reviewer who had the room with the outdoor shower!!) overlooking the main square. We enjoyed watching the various Festival activities from our room and were not disturbed by the noise. The hotel has a very pleasant reading room/sitting area and served very enjoyable breakfasts. Our only quibble was with the toilet in our bathroom - it was clearly built for a giant and my feet could not reach the floor, which was a bit uncomfortable.
