Hotel Danieli

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Just returned from a stay at Danieli Hotel. Pro's - Location is great and the staff was friendly. Con's - No elevator, pillows are an embarrassment (actually I've never encountered worse), bathroom was recently remodeled, but the shower leaked badly at the base, most of the electrical outlets in the room didn't work. Towels were likely once white but were more of a concerning yellow color. I agree with some of the other reviews - manageable (but not exactly pleasant) for one night, but tough to stay any longer (we were actually booked for two nights but checked out after the first night)

We arrived for 5 night stay to fing hotel undergoing renovations. No elevator so had to carry heavy luggage to top flóor. Met by friendly carpet layer on our floor...made French connection and got to ròom. Newly finished and dust in wardrobe but soon cleaned by manager. We cane to love the olace with way workers mixed with wanting to assist and not be inconvenience. Request for directions to laundry at reception saw our washing done for us..location is ideal and close to Carrefore and Mcdonalds as breakfast option. All in all 10 out if 10 for trying. Thanks

Reviews are always subjective and everyone is entitled to their opinion which will usually be based upon personal experience. So here's mine. This is truly a 5* hotel in the old style. Sublime elegance at its best. The staff all know they are there to offer service in the traditional manner and, without exception, they achieve it. I was last here with my parents many more years ago than I will admit to and memories really are made of this. My wife's suggestion to celebrate my recent birthday here was pure genius. Thank you all at the Danieli. We will be back.

The hotel is being refurbished at the moment so not all the rooms were available. The ones we stayed in with our group of students were therefore clean and new although not completely finished. The breakfast was basic but the croissants and bread fresh and tasty. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the location is perfect, on the main street of the Town, so easy to reach monuments in a few minutes. It's next to a hostel which can be noisy. If you are not bothered about frills but want a great location it is fine.

Hotel is very noisy and dirty. You could hear everithing happening outside the room. We found what looked like rat poo on the pillow. The wifi didnt work. The location is good however the hotel is terrible.

Pros: - Good location. - Snack and coffee vending machines. - Good location in city center. - Best traveling option for triple and double rooms (with friends). Cons: - Basic room furniture. - Bathroom is little old-fashion.

The hotel is very well placed for exploring the old parts of Avignon, and provides a good basic service. The breakfast was fine and the room was adequate, but with no frills. For the price the hotel is reasonable value. We stayed for 6 nights and had no complaints.

We found the hotel ok for one night. I wouldn't stay there for a longer stay. Great location within walking distance of all sites. Rooms were very simple. A little noisy outside at night. No parking on premises with the garage a 10 min walk. Wasn't an issue to stop out front to load/unload suitcases. No elevator so you'll need to carry your bags up the stairs.

Modest budget hotel in the city centre of Avignon, which makes it a great place to visit the city. Rooms are basic, and some of them have been refurbished - they are not particularly clean, especially the carpet was full of stains. Avoid getting the room in the ground floor (there is only one) as it is very noisy during the night and early in the morning, for being next to the restaurant.

The location is near everything which is good but... There was rat poo on our beds, human piss on the sheets and spider eggs on our lamps. They couldn't change our room because it was full and they cleaned it again but a horrible job was done. We slept on the ground of our friends room. The breakfast was terrible I had to buy my own stuff, but good juice. The windows didn't shut and the carpets gave off a weird stench, I almost needed a gas mask. The staff were nice and tried their best to understand English but this old man who worked there gave horrible service he never helped me was either was either watching tv or on his phone. I don't recommend it.
