The hospitality here was unbelievable. Our breakfast waiter stayed by our table making sure we had all we needed and even made us a special blend of his own Chai tea. We were amazed and will never forget our experience at this lovely hotel in beautiful Varanasi! For more on what to do and see in India, please visit my blog at Whaddatrip.com
Our stay at the Radisson was very pleasant and comfortable. The check in procedure was swift and we were taken to our suite room on the 5th floor. The room was very spacious - had a decent size sitting area and 2 bathrooms - one was a powder room attached to the sitting area and the other was a fairly big washroom with big tub and separate shower areas. We had lunch at the restaurant on the 1 st floor - the dal tarka and paneer kulcha were very well made. In a nutshell - would love to stay here again during my next visit.
I have visited this hotel. All staff is great. It was all in all a great experience. It is located in a good area for all I wanted to do which was visiting temples. I want to give this hotel a 4.5 only because I feel they can change there towels. There towels are worn some. But not bad. I think they need to keep their prestige. There was a concern with the AC blowing dust and almost immediately it was taken care of after we made remarks. The meals were good but this one staff in East West restaurant just mad everything great. Her name was Riya. I honesty felt like she was the manager. She was that good in how she carried herself and took care of her guest. All service was excellent. Thanks again
Varanasi always attracts me. Apart from the ancient city, the other factor for which I love to visit is my stay at Radisson. Be it the room or the resturant, the hotel staff makes you feel always very comfortable & at home . A special mention of Riya who with her welcoming smile in the resturant has made this trip always memorable.
I am not one to complain about the places I stay, however this hotel did not in any way meet my expectations. Check in and check out were very disorganised even though my details had been sent ahead prior to arrival. I travelled through India for 22 days and this was the worst service of all the hotels I stayed in. Staff were very complacent, bordering on rude, and did not really care about the guests. The pool area was filthy with rubbish left lying around, broken edges around the pool and broken sun lounges. I did not feel inclined to use it as it was dirty, an took a shower to cool off instead. I have visited Varanasi in the past and will do so again in the future as a regular traveller to India, however I will not be using, or recommending this hotel again. I think the Radisson Group need to conduct regular inspections of their properties if they wish to maintain a good name. Radisson Varanasi is definitely not a four or five star property and needs a change of management to bring it up to the standards that travellers expect from this particular hotel chain. As I have stated I am not one to write complaints about my accommodation, however this property deserves the negative criticism it receives. I will not return.
The staff was very nice. However the food was not as tasty as other hotels in India. Additionally there were no outlets or converters next to the bed or in the room. We had to ask for an adapter which turned out to be a power cord. But because there were no outlets next to the beds we had to keep it on the desk.
1. I booked this hotel on expedia. I got confirmation for a king bed room but hotel had no availability at the check. Instead offered me a twin bed. 2. There was in-room dining menu, when asked they delivered a torn menu. The person who delivered pushed his way through in the room to look for room menu. I asked him to leave.. and he apologised and left. 3. The description on expedia says the hotel has shuttle to airport on request but there is no such facility. You are required to book taxi at 2x the price outside. 4. The food at this place is horrible. Don't even try by mistake and spoil your stomach. 5. I would advise people to stay safe and avoid this property.
Radisson Varanasi was a great place to stay to retreat from the crowds & the mayhem in Varanasi. It's a very calm place with very welcoming staff. The rooms are very comfortable with a good firm bed. The redtaurant was very nice & breakfast buffett had everything you could want. It is a little bit out of the old town but that wasn't a problem. We would recommend this hotel.
I booked the hotel for 31st night of December to celebrate new year function. At the time of booking gala dinner charges was mandatory apart from room tariff for nnew year celebration. I reached the hotel by 5pm with family and I was informed that gala dinner at 7.30 pm. I reached the alloted restaurant for gala dinner. I was really disappointed to see that there is no music or dance but rather a simple type of buffet dinner with hard and soft drinks. I finished my dinner in 30 minutes and returned to my room. When I saw surrounding hotel which was full of music and dance to celebrate new year.
The hotel is well located away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet within 10 minutes of all major spots. Rooms are nice and spacious. The property is old but has been maintained in good shape. Had one of my worst services experience in this hotel. Attitudinal issues with the staff in the coffee shop, novice staff on the front desk. We also booked a table for the new year Eve gala dinner at the coffee shop. While the spread wss large but the food was cold. Had to finally request the staff to heat up one curry dish for us just to be able to get to eat something.
