Great Value, Lovely Property And Grounds

This is a lovely large property with magnificent views in lovely grounds which must have been amazing when a golf course pre covid. Rooms are spacious I agree there may be some minor niggles and issues such as dated decor in bathrooms as in previous reviews but I think people need to remember the price being paid so overall its great value for money. The caffeteria has weird opening times and is closed completely some days which can catch you out.

I loved the setting i enjoyed the pool . The space on the room was great also the bathroom . I know they are on recovery but real glasses rather than plastic would be good. Also sheer curtains to lessen the need of pulling dark curtains across and being in the dark . Excellent check in staff and bar staff .

Good hotel and very cheap for quality of its services, badly hit by Covid that closed its golf course, hopefully will return to its full glory soon. Breakfast was very good, although they need to sort out unloading of luggage as car park is a decent walk up hill!

if you have walking difficulty don't use the hotel

The bad: Dropping of luggage, no turning circle backing down a twisty narrow drive a nightmare. (if you have walking difficulty don't use this hotel, no handicap car spaces) Booked with Hotels.com for first time. The hotel had no record of booking. Reception insisted I emailed them a copy from my phone! and the joke was the wifi for guests was not working and had not worked for 3 weeks due to a storm, yet the managers and staff internet worked?. Stated 28" TV with satellite Err no 19" old analogue square TV in a dusty cabinet. No price list in bar. Barman had no idea what a gin and tonic price was. Draft beer pump Kaput stated the said barman. For a hotel to charge in excess of £120:00 a night, it was poor. Balcony's, best described as Juliet sized. The good: Restaurant, evening and breakfast food was of a good standard. Comfortable bed. Location in the Spanish countryside

Mountain Luxury

The location was stunning, the food was amazing. Neither my partner nor I spoke great Spanish but the waitress helped to translate the menu with us. It was so quiet and peaceful, we’d happily go back again. We didn’t have time to try the spa and didn’t know we’d need flip flops around the pool area. They provide the hats and towels though.

Relaxing hotel

My room was beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The hotel is quiet in general, but the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors at times. The resort was peaceful and really helped clear my mind. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, and a jacuzzi, all of which have the same beautiful view of the mountains. By train and taxi, it is just 3 hours away from the center of Barcelona. The reception was amazing. I mainly dealt with the English speaking staff (a woman with blonde hair, I didn't get her name), as my Spanish is not too good, but I felt that they went above and beyond to help me. I was in such a rush to leave for vacation that I had forgotten a converter for my chargers and to withdraw cash (the taxis and RENFE train station only accept cash). The receptionist brought a converter from home the next day to see if it would work for me. The next day, as I headed back to Barcelona, I didn't have enough cash to pay the taxi, so she called a taxi to take me to a bank before dropping me off at the train station. The service here made all the difference to me, and I will definitely come back if I need another quick getaway from Barcelona.

Much needed quiet resort away from the tourist trap hotels elsewhere. It was so refreshing. Loved it. The diner menu was amazing. Worth the added cost. Family of 4 was about $90 Euros but was the most memorable in my three week holiday.

great for a relaxing retreat in the mountains

This hotel has only been reopen for a few months and is absolutely fantastic. Nestled in the catalonian hills with a beautiful spa and golf course. We've visited it a few times before but never stayed there until now and it was well worth the stay. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is wonderful. It costs 9 euros which may seem a lot but it is worth every penny. The outside pool is small but very pretty; there are only about eight sunbeds but also some large outdoor leather sofa beds and very few people use them on a daily basis so there are always enough to go around. It's much nicer than the usual display of hundreds of sunbeds in most hotels. They could do with a few more parasols as there was only one so we mentioned that to them. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting with an original 16th century castillian building. We only paid 60 euros a night for a double room too, although it can usually go up to about 125 depending on when you book or go. The ice room and steam and sauna rooms in the spa are amazing!

House Hunting Haven

We stayed at La Figuerola whilst house hunting in the area. It is extremely convenient as a starting point for such an activity. It was easy to find, and reasonable well appointed. The rooms were a little on the spartan side, with no additional pillows, no tea/coffee facilities or stocked mini-bar (only and empty fridge) but clean and well presented. But these are minor points.The staff were helpful, polite and well groomed. The restaurant is a major point in the Hotel's favour. Traditional Catalan dishes that were marvelous. We did not take advantage of the Golf course or Spa facilities, but given more time, we would like to have done so. Our vote - WE WOULD RE-BOOK!
