Casa Elena, a typical ancient country house
A welcoming two-level house connected by a wooden staircase. Perfect for family or couple holidays, for excursions and trips to the lake. Located in front of the inn of the town, it does not have a lake view but just a few steps to admire the lake of Lecco. Complete with typical furnishings, kitchen with microwave, bathroom with shower, bedroom with large double bed and wardrobe. In the living room there is a small but powerful wood stove that is ready to warm up evenings that are too cold.
Elena's home is located in Vestreno, Lombardy, Italy.
Vestreno is located 5 km from Dervio c. a, at 587 mt s. lm, in the Valvarrone.
To best visit the area it is preferable to have a car, but it is possible to reach Dervio lago on foot, walking for about 30 minutes, by bus, consult the timetables in advance, in summer there are about three passes a day, or ask to Laura, who will know how to find a passage from a peasant!
The area is ideal for practicing different sports on the lake, for trekking or cycling or simply for relaxing on holiday. In front of the house there are the tobacconist's bar and at a few meters the general store where to buy anything, and always a restaurant "al Campetto" for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Snow lovers can reach Piani di Bobbio only 50 minutes away by car. The resort offers 35 kilometers of slopes for skiing. It is particularly suitable for families but you can also rent a bike at the foot of the gondola for a fearless excursion.
Other places not to be missed are Morbegno, just 30 minutes away and Aprica, 1 hour and 30 minutes away.
And for a trip a little longer but worth a stop, the town of Livigno is 140 km, reachable in 2 hours and 30 minutes.

A few steps from the apartment there is a bus stop which passes at set times about three times a day and accompanies you to Dervio or the Bellano train station and vice versa.

Vacances en famille
Nous avions décidé de visiter Bellagio et Varenna mais grâce à cette location nous avons découvert les petits villages alentours et le Mont Legnoncino, la petite trattoria conseillée par Laura du minimarket était géniale. A refaire nous aurions profité au maximum dé Vestreno et sa montagne plutôt que de s’engouffrer dans les hauts lieux de tourisme de masse…
