This hotel is just adorable in every way and will be one of my favourites of all time. We have never been to this region before and we are not skiers so we just wanted somewhere peaceful with glorious scenery and great service. It ticked all those boxes and many many more. My family and I are very fussy and not always that easy to please when it comes to standards, quality and service. This hotel was the most welcoming, warm and embracing place to arrive. An eclectic mix of decor which worked brilliantly to give a perfect degree of comfort, privacy and homeliness in the best possible way. We loved that even the guests dogs are made welcome. The staff are number one in the list of great things to write about. From the reception to the bar to the restaurant to housekeeping and in fact everyone we met. Mikaela on reception looked after us prior to arrival with great e mail updates on our rooms and even the weather and she was superb during our stay helping us with everything we needed. Her colleagues were all terrific too. We had asked for rooms overlooking Mont Blanc and despite these being the most requested and not guaranteed the hotel were brilliant and gave us rooms with great views of Mont Blanc. With hindsight, while these were great, it is the side of the hotel that doesn't get sunshine and looks out over the road. Twice during the week the refuse collections came in the early hours of the morning near our room window which woke us up. There is a clock tower on this side of the hotel too and this chimes on the hour and half hour through the night so if you are on the other side of the hotel and over look the gardens you may not have these slight disruptions. Our rooms were great, the beds were very firm, our pillows unfortunately matched and it wasn't until our last night when I handed our feedback form in that the hotel said they had a selection available and soft feather pillows arrived instantly and were perfect. Lesson learned...just ask, nothing is too much trouble for this hotel. I asked for a kettle to make tea in my room and it was there straight away. There were slippers in the room, night cream sachets popped on your pillows during the evening. Big towelling dressing gowns, lovely toiletries. The towels were changed every day, bedding changed twice in the 5 nights we stayed. In the room there is a safe, hair dryer, TV with plenty of channels, lots of plug sockets, mirrors....all you need. Breakfast was great providing plenty of choice. The only cooked items are eggs but the wide selection of everything else is excellent. The views out over the mountain range and gardens was perfect while you ate. There are so many places to go and sit inside and outside that give you your own little space. We ate at the bar as well as in the restaurant. The food is exceptional, perfectly cooked and presented. They put on a small buffet in the bar area around 6pm which is wonderful as you are having your early evening drinks. They make to die for hot chocolate at the bar too. I had the most amazing massage with Marianna and as I've worked in that industry for many years I am more aware of what a good treatment should be. She was excellent and I wanted one every day after that. The Spa area was beautifully peaceful and very nicely designed. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, I couldn't fault it in any way. There is ample free car parking, the location of the hotel was very easy to find and walking distance from the Monte Blanco Skyway which is an absolute must do activity. The village of Entreves is small, very pretty and has several restaurants to eat in if you want a change. The reception staff are happy to recommend where to go and even book a table for you. We travelled out each day to different places as there are plenty of options of things to do near by or a little further out. We adored our stay not just at the Auberge de la Maison but in this area of Italy and you simply could not find a more wonderful hotel to stay in. We will always remember our experience there with great fondness and hope to return again in the future. Thank you to all the team that make the hotel so very special....you should be very proud.

This was an amazing find as we were travelling through France and Italy to get Lake Garda. The village is peaceful and pretty, this hotel is quaint and served by traditionally dressed staff who are willing to please. Helpful that you can use the underground garage as the car park is small. The rooms are lovely, the reception are and restaurant very quaint with magnificent views. Book early and ask for a window table. The food is great too.

Our family of four picked this hotel based on good reviews and the fact that we were doing a shortened version of the TMB and planned to take a shuttle into Courmayeur rather than walk into town. The reason this is important is that this hotel is not in Courmayeur proper, but a little outside town. We would definitely recommend spending some time walking around Courmayeur, as it is a beautiful town with great shopping, especially if you need gear, clothes, etc. during your hike. The hotel has a great spa area and we enjoyed a much-needed massage and pool time. The kids also enjoyed the pool -- being from the Miami area, we feel like we've seen it all when it comes to pools, but this one was pretty nice...lots of water features and different personalized jet areas to relax in. Everything has a great view of the Alps which adds to the quiet peacefulness of the spa area. The restaurant was by far the best we encountered on the TMB and our dinner and breakfast were superb. It's just a whole other level and it's not fair to compare it to the rustic inns along the route, but suffice it to say that a fine dining meal was just what we needed after all that hiking! Also, the pre-dinner live music and hors d'oeuvres in the lobby were a welcome touch. We stayed in the Mont Blanc Suite, which I would highly recommend for families as it included a separate bedroom for the kids, and both rooms featured amazing views of the Alps and beautiful, huge bathrooms. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and it felt like everyone went out of their way to make us feel at home. As a side note, my husband left some of his favorite pants in the room and the hotel contacted us and made arrangements to have them sent to a hotel in Milan where we'd be later in our trip -- we received them right on time and were so grateful for their help! We highly recommend this hotel in Courmayeur, especially as a luxurious respite from the TMB if you want to pamper yourself a little.

We stayed in Auberge del la Maison at the end of July on our way to Lido di Camaiore in Toscana. I only wish we had booked a week, it was fantastic. The hotel is in the little Italian town of Entreves, you get there by taking the first left turn after the Monte Bianco tunnel. The town is quaint and has the famous revolving sky ride up to the highest point in the Alps, the top of the Monte Bianco, this sky ride is not only a steep ride but its also steep in price, family of three almost 150 euros to the top. The hotel staff are all very friendly and are there to help with everything you may need. The rooms all have great views, either on to the Monte Bianco Mountain range or on to the little town. There is a small pool with the best views ever, the hotel offers a menu of treatments and massages to suit any taste. There is covered parking. The barman is very professional and really knows his cocktails, Gin and Tonic with locally made juniper gin. The restaurant is very good with local specialities and Italian dishes to choose from. Breakfast offers a large choice of goodies and is good value to set you up for the day ahead. We enjoyed our stay so much that I have booked the hotel for our return journey in September. I will make this a definite future stop on our way to Italy from now on. The little town has other restaurants to choose from but I cannot comment as we never tried them. A great find and you won't be dissapointed but its no secret so book well in advance.

We stayed three nights in Courmayeur after 3 nights in Lake Como. The hotel location was perfect, our view from the room was amazing (see pictures) and we were able to walk to Skyway Monte Bianco. We had a couples massage in the Espace Bien-Etre which was very good. The pool and deck staring at Mont Blanc was amazing. We also drove over the Petit St. Bernard pass into France and then Albertville and St. Gervais-les-Bains and back to the hotel through the Mt. Blanc tunnel which took about 6 hours. The staff was excellent, and took care of our every need, especially Silvana who was one of the nicest people I have every met. Plus, she seemed to speak every language imaginable. My only negative would be that the bed was too hard, and I suggested they invest in some memory foam mattress toppers. Otherwise, we hated to leave, but Portofino beckoned.....

Stopped for a couple of nights after 2 weeks touring the balkans on a motorcycle. This was to be our treat at the end of the trip, and did not disappoint. Staff were charming and friendly. Views were amazing. Food was lovely, and the pool a treat. Would recommend exploring the area

Excellent. Loved it, great views from hotel, great access to Skyway Mont Blanc Tram. Incredibly spectacular mountains... Good service at hotel & nice room. Loved the location. If traveling through Mont Blanc Tunnel, go early on the day or you hit bad traffic. Skyway Tram turns in a 360 degree circle which is great for taking in the whole valley.

We were in Courmayeur in June and had hoped to travel the Mont Blanc Skyway. Unfortunately the weather was very poor, with long downpours and low clouds. It says a lot for the hospitality we encountered in the hotel that, despite the conditions, we look back on our stay very fondly. The room, said to have a view of Mont Blanc, was very comfortable, and had a terrace. The food in the restaurant was rather variable. So a starter of quinoa and vegetables, described as caponata, was extraordinarliy dull and tasteless. However, a starter of crayfish tails with roast peppers and black olives was stunning. June is clearly a strange time to visit this area. Many hotels and restaurants were closed until nearer the end of the month.

This hotel was incredibly beautiful and the rooms were luxurious and comfortable. The staff added sweet touches that made it feel very special, such as a chilled bottle of champagne as it was our honeymoon! The hotel offers lovely terraces to enjoy the mountain views and has a really delicious restaurant. We especially loved their pasta and desserts!

Before arriving here I had been staying in hostels wanted a splurge as part of my solo traveling. This place is incredible. Every single staff member, from Silvana at the front desk to every driver, every bartender, every server was beyond fantastic. I cannot thank everyone enough for being so kind to me. Everyone remembered me when I would come down to breakfast (they started calling me "California" which I thought was funny) and I had a lot of great conversations. The pasta was amazing, the breakfast some of the best of my trip, the steam room in the spa was perfect, and the old world decor and artwork was so cool to see...I don't get that ambiance where I come from. If I go back to the Italian Alps I would 100% stay here again. Just an FYI...the rooms are on the smaller side. The building is older, so if you're used to a large, new American style room just be aware...but zero complaints here. The rooms were clean and beautiful and had everything I could need.
