Stayed here on my way to Zaragoza, the hotel is comfortable and all the staff were very nice and helpful but that's it I read some very good reviews and decided to book on the strength of these. The first unusual thing I noticed in reception was there was no views from any of the Windows just walls the same from the dining room and again from our room,l never saw the outside from anywhere, bit like the twilight zone.Outside was a lovely but undeveloped beach no bars or shops not even a pathway to the sea just rough ground, could be a problem if you have mobility troubles .we walked round the hotel, but there's nothing but private houses. If you like to feel isolated then this is the place for you.l will give Sagunto a complete miss and drive on next time, how you would get here without a car I don't know ,happy trails.
The GPS had a hard time finding this place but after navigating and looking at the maps, we finally arrived at this great resort. Its a large, clean, friendly resort right across from a very long and wide beach and the price of the room, 60 euros was a bargain. It is a 10 minute walk to town and the malecon is great. A supermarket is located in town as well. The price for a cerveza is very reasonable at the poolside bar. Reservations are highly recommended.
This hotel is officially a four star but I rated it at 5, in my book. The hotel has the look of a small and compact Caribbean resort hotel. The pool is excellent and is immaculately kept. The medium sized poolside bar provides excellent food thro the afternoon and drinks all day. The staff are incredibly friendly and extremely helpful and courteous. My impression was that the staff are all friends and are motivated to ensure that your wants and well being are well provided for. Our room was quite large with a superb bathroom. (tv is all Spanish channels). Airconditioned and a balcony with ample room for two persons. Our room had a small fridge, hairdryer and a small programmable safe.. The usual bathroom condiments were provided. Incidentally, the a/c is foolproof to use. The room was attended to every day and a request for clean towels was always met with. Wifi throughout the hotel was excellent. The breakfast is buffet style with a varied selection of hot and cold meals. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening. It is a buffet style. Approx six choices of main course and is very reasonably priced. Sometimes there are children around the pool but there is a small separate shallow pool for kids. The fantastic beach is located approx. 150 metres from the front of the hotel, across a quiet road. However, there are no sunbeds or umbrellas for hire on the beach. Whether this changes as the season goes on, I cant say. I found that we struggled to find many decent restaurants in the area of this hotel. There are some, but few quality ones. I would say that this hotel would be on a shortlist of my favourites. You cant help but relax. Impressive.
We planned one night at the Hotel Els Arenals and stayed for two nights. The hotel is really nice with big comfortable rooms and a friendly staff. It's at the end of a quiet road and just steps away from a lovely beach. We rented hotel bikes and road across the bike trail into Puerto de Segunto. Because the hotel is a little off the beaten track, restaurants aren't terribly convenient. We ate at the hotel's breakfast and dinner buffets where the food was ample, but very average.
We ended up here by mistake. My girlfriend who put together our Spain trip did not realize how far this was away from Valencia (about 40 miles). However we made the most of it and really enjoyed this hotel and location. The hotel is right across from a quiet Mediterranean beach. Absolutely gorgeous! And the hotel itself is quite nice. We had a first floor room with a small private courtyard attached, no view, but quiet. The room and hotel was very clean and efficient. We also really enjoyed the pool area. The hotel lobby is equipped with a coffee bar, and liquor bar. You can have mixed drinks made, or indulge in as much wine and beer as you like. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet on one of the mornings. The pastries were unbelievably good! I love the quaintness of this small resort hotel. It's not super large, and packed. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. While the front desk staff speak English quite well the rest of the staff only speak it a little bit. Practice your Spanish before going to Sagunto. May was pretty quiet in this area. We walked around the small town and up to the little beach village. Which had a wonderful restaurant that we ate at daily. Wish I could remember the name. We also went to an Argentinian restaurant for dinner one night in town. It was literally the best meal I've had. Can't remember the name of this restaurant either. It was a short cab ride away, and I'm sure the only Argentinian restaurant in town. It was recommended to us by one of the wait staff at the hotel. I'm so glad my friend made a mistake in booking this place. It's nice to get off the beaten path once in a while. I hope to go back to this hotel in this town one day with my husband and daughter
We arrived at Els Arenals after a very long, very harrowing day. The staff were very caring and sympathetic and we felt very well looked after. The room was fantastic value, with a most comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. The buffet dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Great value for money and a lovely family atmosphere.
We didnt expect too much from this. It was simply a stopover on a business road trip from Barcelona to Alicante to Madrid. What a nice surprise - a lovely small friendly town packed with small eateries, a cool market and some beautiful coastlines and a hotel that was modern, friendly and altogether nice. One small snag was an internet issue they had during our stay, however it was very reassuring when a staff member came over to us to personally tell us the fault was now fixed - great personal service. We would stay here again if we were in this area
We were just passing through here as we were fleeing the bad weather up north. Our plan was to stay only for one night but we liked it so much we wanted to stay the rest of the week. Unfortunately it was completely full so we had to make due with one extra night. The rooms are clean and modern with good beds. There's free WiFi in the entire hotel (but it doesn't work all the time) and also towel service for the pool area. All staff is very friendly and most speak several languages. The food in the pool restaurant is very good and a la carte, prices are reasonable. Only downside was the diner buffet... Even though I have never seen this work (anywhere) I was hopeful and tried it once just because it looked good. Unfortunately even here a buffet style dinner is more bland than food cooked restaurant style and never hot enough... At least it had some healthy choices and didn't consist of fastfood so an effort is certainly made but to keep food tasty it should be eaten right away and not kept under a lamp or what have you for an hour. The breakfast buffet on the other hand is perfect. As we have only stayed in one hotel in the area we can't compare but this hotel certainly looks as if it's the best one around. Keep up the good work!
A little further up the coast from Valencia, this hotel is right on the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The room are clean and fresh and the staff are very helpful. A great location for a group getaway.
I booked this hotel with mixed feelings given some of the comments from previous contributors but we loved it. Most of the staff, and all of those on reception, spoke good English and were very helpful. The rooms were fabulous, roomy and very comfortable. The pool was lovely. Breakfast was good. All of this for much less than other hotels we were looking at. The only difficulty I had was getting to the hotel as my satnav kept sending me down one waay streets but we managed it in the end.
