I have staying in many Hi-Ex's and this is up with the best for room comfort, cleanliness and excellent staff. There is even a small pool which for us was great - not often you will find that in a budget hotel so I will not complain about it - used it, liked it and will do so again. The hotel is in a great location, very easy to reach off the main road into the city from the south and west and close to the City of Arts and Science. There is a big shopping mall next door and note shopping / eating options on the other side of the CofA&S. Downtown is reached by the number 14 bus which stops outside, hotel staff can help with this or by taxi for around 8 Euro. The hotel provides a perfectly acceptable complimentary buffet breakfast, this gets busy so they run a timed entry scheme which is a bit annoying but understandable in the circumstances Definitely will recommend to friends visiting Valencia, location, service and value tick all the right boxes
This hotel lived up to all expectations, clean, good staff and excellent Continental breakfast. The location was fine for us as we cycled most places and the beach was magnificent . Staff were lovely, local area was very Spanish great if you want to mingle with the Spanish and try out your Spanish or sign language, we had fun.
Excellent location for visitors to the Oceanografic centra, it is walking distance. Nice Shopping mall across from the Hotel. There is no metro stop for this hotel so a 10-15 min bus ride from Xativa which is the city center metro stop. Turia garden, Old city center and Mercado centra visit is a must. The breakfast arrangement is a bit odd as you will be given a time slot and it is very busy during weekends.
We stayed with known HIE quality, and this fit the bill. Good parking (fee), across the street from a good shopping mall, walking distance to several restaurants and the interesting Ciudad las CIencias , which we walked around. Two near by bus stops and front desk was helpful with what buses to take to go to downtown Valencia. Did that a couple of times and loved the downtown area. Hotel was clean, typical HIE fare.
The hotel staff was very friendly even in overcrowded situations. Our room windows were towards the Oceanografic and Agora, which made for an excellent view (even with fireworks during one evening). The breakfast was OK, though nothing special. The rooms were comfy, but a little bit strange with the closed door in between two adjacent rooms (which made the noises from adjacent room to be perceived quite strongly). The hotel is only 5-10 minutes walk away from the Oceanografic, Museum of Science and Hemisferic, and only 15 minutes walk from Gulliver park. The bus connections around are very good. The ratio price-quality during our stay has been very good.
My wife and I have just stopped a couple of nights here and found the staff very pleasant and friendly. We stayed in room 300 on the 3rd floor , right next to the lifts (as requested) as I have some mobility issues. I read in a previous persons review about noise from the lift but I found there was no noise from the lift. Breakfast was cheerful, the orange juice superb ("note of interest re other reviewers 'Valencia Oranges' are a hybrid orange from the USA and not from Valencia:- see William Wolfskill).... Fruit was Great including the oranges from Valencia lol. Room and bathroom were spotless and aircon superb in 30 + degree heat(outside). The hotel pool is great and the pool side area a good place to chill out. Just incase anyone wants to know Taxi fares were €26 from the airport with a €5 surcharge on top(??!!) and €22 from the hotel back to the airport, which of course aren't regulated by the hotel in anyway😊 Just expect to be stung on the way there😕 One last point:- I booked through IHG so got best rate, free wifi and late checkout option
We booked a non smoking room there and when we arrived, they gave us a smoking room, because they have no free room more 😲 and told us sorry we are busy these days!!! Not acceptable and it was disgusting at night because of smoking at our flour!! Otherwise was room clean and also breakfast ok. The public transportation was in Valencia honestly bad and tgere is no metro to access to city center and we have to wait most of the times more than 20 min to catch the bus!
We stayed a few days in this hotel and we had a fantastic time. I don't speak Spanish and require a glutenfree breakfast. Breakfast staff very helpful in providing this in spite of the language barrier and were very friendly. Room was clean, area for children to play if parents wanted to use. Location was a short bus ride (or reasonable walk) from city centre and beach. Both provided good restaurants and lots to do. We visited markets and museums (get a Valencia tourist card), shopping malls, enjoyed a sunny evening watching a free band near the oceanographic, loved the tapas bravas
We stayed here as a party of 24, and the hotel was very accommodating and helpful before we arrived. Check in was extremely smooth considering we had a party of 24, it took about 10 minutes. A couple of us had issues with the AC not working, which were resolved on the night. The rooms were clean, with lovely crisp linen and towels, plenty of pillows too, just wished we would have had a fridge, but with an Ice Machine we made do, and it did the trick. The pool was great and also clean. Breakfast is a buffet style breakfast with fruit, Cereal, cold meats and cheese, it can get a little crowded, but another side room was opened for us. The staff Monica were brilliant manning the bar on the Friday night, lots of smiles, jokes, and nothing was too much trouble. Erika on the Saturday made a reservation for us all at a lovely restaurant and couldn't do enough to help us. The one disappointment was the night receptionist on Saturday and Sunday, who was rude, didn't smile, and told us she was far too busy on reception (11 at night when noone was there!) to serve us, "I cant even open a bottle of Wine - I've never done this before" We happily opened the wine for her, and received a scowl in return- this staff member sullied a brilliant stay, but I wont focus on that. On the whole it is situated by the shopping Mall, 2 minute walk and cost 10 euros in a taxi to the beach, it is a budget hotel and we were more than happy with the rooms - very clean and all bar one of the staff, so thanks to you all!
Just because you have hotel status not worth the stay. its out of the way. beds are terrible and breakfast horrible. Even charge for parking in the middle of nowhere. should not have Holiday Inn status. more like Motel 8 in NORTH America.
