Eurostars Gran Valencia4.0 out of 5.0

Eurostars Gran Valencia is located 3-4 metro stops from the center, and less than 200 meters from the Beniferri metro station, which makes the location almost ideal (except very late in the evening when the metro runs at unreasonably big intervals). Breakfast is really nice, wifi is good and free, rooms are large and comfortable. Nice bathrooms (with separate toilets and bathtub with hydromassage). Staff is friendly and really helpful. The surrounding area has numerous restaurants and bars, as well as a nice supermarket right by the metro station.
It has been years since I had to specify non smoking as I thought smoking in hotel rooms was no longer allowed. However, on arrival we were given a room that reeked of smoke. I went back to reception to be told they had both types and I was immediately given a non smoking room instead. The breakfast was a reasonable price although fairly basic. Quite sufficient for a two day stay. Being tired after our second day we elected to eat and spend the evening in the hotel. Unfortunately there was only one, very hard working guy, who took the orders, brought the food and also doubled up as the barman. It made me feel guilty about bothering him for further drinks once we sat down in the very small lounge area. Other reviews stated that it was a good location. For what? We like to walk and there was nothing much around the hotel. Not wanting to use the metro we took a taxi to the Oceanografic. We were ripped off to the tune of 20 euros (it only cost us 10 on the way back).
Room at the 20th floor with a wonderful view to the boulevard. A very good breakfast and a cosy restaurant/bar at the 14th floor. The room was nice and they have a well done bathroom with all the amenities for a holiday in Valencia. Actually I was impressed about this city: a mixture of old classic architecture and a very modern places to visit. The Science city and the Oceanografic are very interesting. Go to see them. And of course the seaside.
We have just arrived and have been unpleasantly surprised by strange odor in the room. The room is very modest. Bathroom is little, for two people very tight. The hotel is on the outskirts of the city, we have chosen to be as close to the circuit. Four star disappointed us.
Hotel is located just opposite what is going to be the new Mestalla football stadium and perfect for visiting the city centre. A beautiful hotel with big, spacious rooms. The highlight for me had to be the spa bath in the room! Absolutely amazing! Huge bed too which we didn't want to get out of! The hotel is near some restaurants if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Overall a great stay and we'd love to come back.
Great rooms, comfortable beds and great + cheap breakfast. The hotel was also located only 200m walking from metro station from which you reach the city centre in 5 min. I also appreciated a lot that the hotel offered an own private parking in the building. Close to the hotel there are also a lot of restaurants I would immediately go back if I would return to Valencia
Overall this underperforms. The room had floor boards which were lifting. The air conditioner sounded like a tractor when on full fan. Ther is no iron in the the room nor tea-making facilitates. The bath-shower is very high off the ground so getting out is hazardous. The breakfast was ordinary and the milk was long-life. Breakfast only starts at 8 AM on weekend. This means that attendees at a local conference missed out as the conference started at 8 AM. The corridor to the rooms was dark and smelly. The location is poor however located next to a metro station so one can get around fairly easily.
We stayed here for the weekend. All very good, just a little away from the center. However, easy to take the metro which is right next door. Personnel are quite friendly also. Good place for a weekend and not very expensive.
This hotel was exactly what we were looking for when we went to Valencia for a one week break in October: nice room and bed, nice breakfast if you wanted to, clean, friendly staff and at a convenient location. We have rented a couple of bikes most days (the hotel rents them out, normal ones or electric bikes) and then it really is about 10/15 mins to get to the city center. If you don't want to rent hotel bikes, there is a city bike station just around the corner from the hotel or, if you don't want to bicycle, the metro is just around the corner too. There's a nice pool on the roof with a beautiful view over the city, which is a nice little bonus. Very happy with everything, good value too, would recommend!
Overall, really liked this place and for a European hotel, it had many amenities I like in American hotels. The hotel itself is very modern, clean and well appointed. I was surprised by the large rooms and bathrooms. Having the bike rentals on property was a real bonus as the city center is just a quick bike ride away (or the subway is around the corner too). There were however a few things I would have liked to make this get another star. First, no iron was available from the front desk. For travelers, this is a big issue. Second, while the gym was functional, it really needed someone to look at it's functionality as it was difficult to get a great workout in with the limited equipment (and the TV didn't work). Last, it would be nice to have an ice machine available throughout the day as they only time you could get ice was when the bar opened at 2000 and that was a bit late after an afternoon workout or wanting something at the pool.
