Clean room. Comfy bed. Friendly accommodating staff for late arrival. Restaurant attached, so very convenient for breakfast. Simple highway-restaurant fare. Don't expect anything else and you'll be fine. Waitresses were attentive even though the restaurant was 70% full my coffee never got empty or cold. Lots of room to park larger vehicles. Stayed here before and would again.

Clean rooms, and comfortable beds, very friendly staff, a restaurant that serves good food in quantities to more than satisfy a big appetite. Close to the highway with ample parking. What else could you ask for.

Worst restaurant in Canada. Hotel Restaurant like a truck stop diner. No air conditioning. Fat waitress does not apologise for long delays getting good she yells across room. I waited an hour and didn't get the full meal. Salad never arrived nor did soup. I waited so long my ice melted and cold water became warm. Unbearable. What I did get was tasteless and dry. Save yourself and go to lovely Chinese restaurant next door where you get great prompt service.

This hotel is ok, nothing super special about it, but they were helpful in directing us to local places to eat and things to do. Such a beautiful area. Would stay here again. The one thing I would say when traveling to this area again in the summer is bring bug spray - the mosquitos are fierce.

This is one of sandmans older motels it needs an update . It has no a.c. only fans in the rooms. It is ok for a stopover has a restaurant for a early breakfast. There is limited accommodations on the prince george hiway. Go downtown if you are in town early there are a couple of restaurants to check out.

We recently stopped in with our grandson and dog. This was a last minute decision due to the rain and no desire to camp. The hotel was accommodating of our needs and the beds were very comfortable. I looked ta the mattresses and they seemed new. On the down side this is a tired looking hotel that needs some TLC, however I would not hesitate to stay again. Parking and wifi is free.

I came across this hotel in McBride, a tiny town of a few houses and 2 gas stations between the Canadian Rockies and the Cariboo Mountains. The Sandman was extremely clean, great bed and linens, reminiscent of top hotels, and the staff was quite friendly. The on-site restaurant was convenient, very busy and had great selections. Superb water pressure, provided an excellent hot shower. The room and restaurant had fast complimentary WiFi. Very affordable at Can$99.00 plus tax.

This Sandman Hotel is quite old and worn out. The furniture is reasonably comfortable. It sure would be nice if they vacuumed the floors when you were gone to work especially when it's muddy in the parking lot. They only get 6 or 7 tv channels so there's not much to watch when you in your room.

I would suggest a different place. Rooms have that old hotel smell. The T.V. reception is terrible and impossible to watch. The walls in the bathroom need some serious paint as do most other parts of this place. Do yourself a favour and try some place else.

Not much choice in restaurants in Mcbride so we ended up at the sandman. The pizzas were huge and very doughy...not our preferred type of pizza. The burgers were greasy. So hardly refined cooking, but it fills you up and th service was good.
