Stayed here for one night during the month of June along with a friend. The already quite tiny room had bugs. It was a bit gloomy and did not give a bright and satisfactory feeling. Had a good sleep anyway as we were really tired. It is close to Bercy and so is not so far from some good places. However I would suggest that if you find rooms in Kyriad Bercy, take those.
We stayed at hotel Kyriad Porte d'Ivry for a short holiday. when we arrived and got our rooms we found that they were very clean. The hotel staff said it is a 'non smoking hotel' however when we walked in one of our rooms (because we booked two in the hotel) it had the essences of smoke in the room, but as we were only in the rooms for sleeping it didn't bother us too much. All the rooms have built in air conditioning which was brilliant because at the time the temperature was around 30 degrees! However I would not advise going for the breakfast because in our experience it was over priced for what you got unless you could eat loads of food. Also the location of the hotel is alright because there is a metro station within a 5/10min walk from the hotel, although there is quite a few restaurants/cafe's surrounding the hotel which we went to. Overall the hotel is quite clean, and all the staff were quite friendly. I would probably go to this hotel again because of it being very cheap and doing the job it was intended for.
Dreadful for locations, unfriendly staff in both French and English. The staff had misplaced the transaction paying for breakfast so we were made to repay it. The room was not cleaned to any hygienic standards. The only good part of it is the price.
Absolute nightmare stay. Messed our rooms around, offering my partner and I a twin room when we paid for and booked a double, trying to use a small print loophole to justify. At every juncture the staff were the rudest, least helpful most aggressive people I have ever dealt with. To top it all off, I was completely covered in bedbug bites after the first night, really badly, completely spoiled my trip and was totally disgusting. I would never stay in such a place again if it was the only accomodation available in Paris. NOT WORTH the price saving.
I stayed 3 nights in this hotel with a large school group. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the location was great for accessing Paris (we had a bus). The staff were very friendly especially Olivier who checked us out. Organisations was very good and taking a security deposit from the students made our lives easier! We will use this hotel again.
We brought over 80 people to the hotel for the Ireland Sweden match at the Euros. The room was dirty. (Blood on the sheet.) No pillow in the room and none provided for a two night stay despite repeated polite requests. Service in the restaurant was very poor. Breakfast set up was cleared 25 minutes before it was supposed to be. We were very disappointed. It fell well short of the most basic standard of customer service anyone would expect. Most worryingly a child had a spillage of boiling water and the waitress became verbally abusive when a napkin was taken from a neighbouring table to deal with the spillage urgently. No help or assistance was offered just unpleasant verbal abuse. I was quite disappointed to witness this. Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss, (no matter how reasonably priced the rooms are.)
It didn't start well at this hotel and should have taken it as a warning. We booked online with hotels.com to pay at hotel, first mistake, I don't normally do that and won't again. We had a confirmation email that said €78 for 2 nights room only. Arrived at hotel with my husband and 7 year old son to check in. He told us we had to pay €82.50 which we expected with city tax. He told us that included breakfast. Went to room and despite having booked a triple, we were given a double. Back to reception and asked if we could have the triple we booked. The man behind the desk looked at us as if we were daft. The rooms are small but functional, we would be out all day anyway. The breakfast is charged at €10 per person and is cold meat, cheese and croissants etc. Fine and fresh but plenty of places nearby if you choose not to give the Kyriad the money. Check out day, handed in key and he told me I had to pay the balance... What balance?? He said the price he gave us on first day was per night. I explained that I had an email from hotels.com with the confirmed price of €78. He continued to tell me that I hadn't booked through hotels.com but I had booked through Expedia and the price was €58 per night plus breakfast. This went on for 20 minutes back and forth. Despite him reading my email he was still telling me I was wrong and would need to pay. At this point the manager came over, explained it all again and she tells me I'm wrong. I phone hotels.com and they try and phone the hotel whilst I'm on the line but no one would answer. I ended up after 30 minutes of pure frustration, losing my temper and asking for the police as they were trying to rip us off. The manager was extremely condescending and said she would speak to my husband as I wasn't calm. No wonder! 40 minutes of trying to explain we had paid the agreed price for the room had left me extremely angry and frustrated. I raised my voice but was never rude. Why did they not charge us the price they ended up trying to charge us on the day we arrived when we paid the €82.50? I've never heard of paying half when you check in and half when you leave. My husband ended up paying another €50 for breakfast we're told, instead of the €82.50 a compromise. Not sure what the compromise was though! Technically we should only have been paying for breakfast but that should have been charged at check in. Total farce and never again.
This hotel has nice view, fully equipment but not good service. My family with 2 boys was arranged a triple bedroom at the 7th food. This floor don't have elevator, very disadvantaged but no one help us bring baggages to the room. The hotel open 24/24 but they closed the door at 12:30 pm. It made us scared when we comeback too late and don't see anyone at reception table.
The room very small and smelly.The windows dirty,only one towel per person.The receptionists don't care about what you ask and they forgot all for the next day...like we asked for a taxi,I think for 3,4 times.The only thing positive is that the metro is near.I think are another hotels much better and more serious personnel at this price or a little more.
Pretty hard to look for it for a non-English speaking location. We came from the RER C line and walked from there. Use the from entry instead because we end up using the back road. The Metro station area would have been more appropriate. There was no microwave or cooler. Air-condition was not cool. Always have a map with you. Small room and cabinets. Brigida was very accommodating and helpful.
