This is our third year staying at The Mountain Haus over the Winter Break. We had another fabulous stay. Although the furnishings were not what I would have chosen, all the rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, and utensils. They provide every morning. My kids loved the freedom of being able to go and grab food without us. They also provide shampoo/conditioner/soap for the bathroom as well as robes for each person. The units don't have washer/dryers in them but there is free laundry in the basement including soap. I washed at all different times during our stay and never had to wait for a machine. They have a great selection of DVD's to borrow at no cost. There is free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cappuccinos, etc. in the lobby at all times. Cookies every afternoon as well as apples. There is a basket on the counter with little packets of sunblock and lip balm which my kids love. Many of the staff bring their dogs to work. My kids absolutely LOVED playing with them every day. A special shout out to Sunny, Madison, Sasha, Kirk, & Kevin to name a few for helping to make our stay so enjoyable. It’s like staying with family only you have your own space and someone to make your bed every morning! They have a grocery delivery option. My daughter has Celiac so I needed a lot of Gluten Free options. They bought each and every thing I requested. I even called a few times after submitting my order to add or change things and it was no problem. There was Gingerbread decorating and stocking decorating on two of the afternoons after skiing. My kids girls had a blast and enjoyed seeing their houses on display in the lobby all week. They even filled the stockings with little items and had them hanging on our door December 25th. The kids got a real kick out of it. We several packages delivered. They would be waiting in our unit. The location was great to Gondola One and the village. You can easily walk in ski boots. We didn't rent a car and it was not a problem. My twins turned 13 while on the vacation. The entire staff signed cards and had balloons sent to the room for them. I can't say enough great things about Mountain Haus.

I recently stayed at the Mountain Haus with some buddies. It’s tough to beat the location, it is right next to the shuttle pickup and a 5 minute walk to the gondola. A short 2 minute walk will get you to great shopping, bars and restaurants. Everything was very clean and the service was great. The only issue we had was that the keys didnt work on a nightly basis which was very inconvenient. They also have a restaurant bar on the property called The George. This place had great food at a great price. We’re not talking bar food, they have everything from burgers to steak & king crab legs. After 10pm you will find a younger crowd (21-28) playing pool and having drinks. We had a great meal and a great time there.

We are back at Mountain Haus. It’s so convenient for meetings in Vail Village and management and staff are super helpful. We have never stayed in the same Condonminium unit. We take what reservations has chosen for us. Each time, we have been on the ‘mountainside’ - which is recommended. This building is well maintained and managed. This one of the first big buildings in Vail - from 1971. And still holds its charm as maintenance, repairs, replacements and improvements are ongoing. There are now many bigger buildings but none with the charm and location of Mountain Haus. We plan to return again and again.

The hotel and room were very nice, and breakfast was good. Good location, right next to one of Vail's parking lots. This hotel does not have A/C, but the room cooled down pretty nicely the night I was there.

we loved , recommend to everyone. great service, perfect location, very friendly staff. very nice accommodation, we stayed in the 1 bedroom with was enough space to us and our 2 1/2 years old son... he have a great time played at fountain adjacent to the Hotel It is just a great time to enjoy the labor day weekend, we will be back for sure.

We decided on a whim to take a quick, one night trip from our home outside of Denver to Vail over the Labor Day weekend and I found Vail Mountain Haus for a reasonable price. We reserved the one bedroom valley side. We checked in about 12:30pm but that was not an issue.. the room was ready. The lady at the front desk was extremely friendly and professional. We were on the fifth floor in 567 I think? It was right next to the elevator but that was never an issue with noise or anything. This place was so much nicer than I expected it to be!! A great value for the price. The unit was nicely decorated/well equipped and the King bed was very comfortable. In the living room there was a Murphy bed that my five yr old triplets loved sleeping on. Since there is no AC you do need to sleep with the screen doors open on the patio but the breeze and temp was great. Only issue being on the valley side was noise- people, the busses, highway noise, etc but it wasn't too bad. I think next time we stay here (and we definitely plan to come back!) we will pay extra for the mountain side. We also took advantage of the pool and hot tub. Only criticism would be that the elevators were always extremely slow. Had the complimentary breakfast in the morning and that was just fine. Check out was quick and again the guy at the front desk was super nice. My kids got a kick out of the dog at the front desk. It was adorable! Another advantage of VMH is the location! You are steps to Vail Village and right across from Starbucks. Can't beat that especially for the price! We enjoyed walking around Vail Village. Had a great lunch/service at the Red Lion and dinner at Pazzo's Pizza (good food but bad service!). Also enjoyed a walk along the trail at Gore Creek and the kids played at Ford Park. We will definitely return to Vail and Vail Mountain Haus in the future!

We stayed in the 1 bedroom valley side room. The location is right on the edge of everything Vail Village and the very beginning of one end of the farmers market if that's the agenda. It was a very nice room other than just a few fit and finish details that caught our eye. Main complaint was the fridge was set and couldn't be adjusted any lower and wasn't cold at all! We never asked about it as it didn't bother us too badly since we only had drinks in it. My guess is the issue would have been resolved if brought up. Service was friendly and good. The continental breakfast is just a standard one nothing to write home about. There is a public bus pickup just across the street for transportation to Lionshead Village if you choose not to walk. The place doesn't have parking, but there is free public parking just across the street that works great.

We visited with long time friends just a couple of weeks ago. We were looking for a condo rental that had at least 2 queen beds (not bunk beds), plus a view and balcony. I came across Mountain Haus and it couldn't have been more perfect! Cozy, updated, nicely decorated, well equipped. The location was excellent, right by the covered bridge into Vail Village. We could walk everywhere! Staff was friendly and professional. The only tiny negatives -- the 2nd bedroom window did not open to outside (opened to indoor atrium), which made for warm nights. There was a fan which was helpful, but would have wanted fresh air (no ac in the mountains of course). The second was that the continental breakfast was very croweded, no seating available. Not sure if that's how it always is or just that particular weekend. In all, I highly recommend the Mountain Haus and would love to return!

We spent a week in this place. The hotel is in a great location. Our apartment was very nice and we were very comfortable. Only con would be the breakfast that it is good to have it included but it could be much better without spending a lot. Back to the good, service was very good, we loved the free parking across the street. Talking about Vail it is very nice to visit with family, many things to do at Vail and surroundings. The fair at Glenwood Springs is very nice, Pinney Lake is gorgeous, Kayak at Dillon is nice, water rafting also enjoyable. Sunday farmer's market at Vail also very nice and activities at the top of Vail's mountain are great even though the price are high for what you get.

It's a great deal for Vail. We had a condo type room with a kitchen. Perfect for a family of four. Our room was very clean, well equipped kitchen, very functional furniture. Kids could relax in the pool after all day hiking. Great location too. Helpful and professional staff. Very simple buffet style continental breakfast.
