We stayed at the villas ! Very spacious ! Can't go wrong here. Everybody was very nice. Ski valet was a plus! Highly recommended if u get a good price. We did New Year's dinner, expensive but once in a lifetime dinner!
I have been to this property about a dozen times, for some reason I never reviewed it because it feels more like a home than an actual vacation spot at this point. We always get a two-bedroom that sleeps 8, sometimes in winter and sometimes in summer. It is perfect year round. I love the amenities at this hotel. It has amazing views and an amazing pool that is heated year round, along with a few massive hot tubs. Also the gym and spa facilities are really nice. You can check-in here and not leave the hotel for a full day and have a wonderful time. Once you get outside of the hotel you are in the heart of Avon at the base of Beaver Creek. The great thing is the gondola is connected straight to the hotel so you don’t have to drive up the mountain. It’s not true ski-in, ski-out but its the next best thing. I also love the fact it is in Avon which gives you more dining options in my opinion but also is easy to hop on and off I-70 if you want to spend a day in Vail its 15 minutes away. It’s really great in the summertime too. They have lots of activities around the area that you can do and the gondola will take you to the mountain for biking, hiking, etc. Also great trails for running around the facility. A true 5 star experience every time!
We've been coming to the Westin Riverfront Resort for 9 straight years - it has truly become a part of our family tradition and feels like home. The best part of the resort is the outstanding lobby area, which offers apres ski live music every evening during the holiday's starting at 4pm. The bands are truly outstanding! We love to sit on one of the uber comfy couches after a day on the slopes, sip cocktails while we listen to music. The kids are always excited to check out some of the board games from the front desk and play - they always seem to make friends with the other kids who are there. It's a dog friendly resort, which just makes it feel more like home. The staff here is always warm and welcoming - truly making our stay lovely. Don't miss out on the heated pool and wonderful salt water hot tubs - nothing better than sitting in there while the snow falls!
Our company hosts an annual stockholder meeting in CO every summer. The hotel we had reserved closed for renovations, but we were able to reserve the Westin. It was the best thing that could have happened! Our Sales Manager, Jing Butler, went above and beyond to assist me in the planning phase. Every detail was mapped out, but also fully executed by the amazing staff. The hotel itself is fantastic, from the rooms to the conference room, to the restaurant. Our favorite thing about hosting a meeting here is all the common areas where our attendees could gather and spend time interacting with each other in a relaxing environment. We were treated like royalty and loved it to so much that we are coming back here every other year! Not in our original plan, but we were sold because of the service and value provided to us. Can't wait until July 2018!!
Pretty bummed about this place... I called several times looking to surprise my sister who was taking a quick pregnancy getaway trip with a small gift waiting in her room. After leaving two voicemails with concierge and talking to several staff members regarding my need, I finally got a call back 24 hours later saying they closed concierge for the day. I have never heard of closing concierge and furthermore why would the staff transfer me knowing they didn’t come to work for the day. Never stepped foot in this place but the customer service needs help.
ive staid here in past a couple years ago and remember a better experience. maybe it was time of year but felt like it was shut down, little amount of employees. mgr lady rolled her eyes at me, staff felt embarrassed as she was in charge so they didnt' say nothing.
We held an annual weekend retreat/conference for about 40 people at the hotel. Although it was shoulder season, the hotel had quite a few guests, many with their 4-footed friends. The conference room was lovely, with floor to ceiling windows, looking out on the mountain. The buffets we selected were not lavish, but were excellent. Breakfast included eggs with chives, a somewhat spicy link sausage and selection of fruit, bagels/breads, toppings and yogurt. Lunch was salad and grilled salmon and chicken, both of which were very good, and a wonderful sherry vinaigrette salad dressing! (Be sure to ask for it !) Our buffet dinner was on the hotel's shoulder season menu (discounted) with a Mexican theme, and very tasty. The rooms are good sized, with a fireplace, small frig, microwave and coffee maker. Very comfortable, although I've slept in better beds. There is a full athletic club, with regularly scheduled classes. Several of us went to a yoga class on Friday afternoon, which was OK - more like a resort yoga class than a regular class. The spa is lovely, and I enjoyed my massage with Erin very much. The couches in the spa relaxing lounge were all taken, most with guests drinking champagne, so there was no place to sit and relax before the massage The only issue was the hotel's procedure (apparently) to not bring a guest's luggage up with the guest, but wait until the guest is in the room. Several of us had things that needed to be put out in preparation for the conference as soon as we got there, and were dismayed to find our boxes and luggage were not going to the room on the elevator with us - instead, they were on carts parked in a corner of the lobby, unattended. I had to go back out to the foyer, and find someone to get the cart up to the room. If you are looking for a place to hold a conference, be sure to check out the Westin Riverfront.
We stayed for one night in October as a getaway for my husband's birthday. We did a couples massage in the spa and that part was wonderful. Nice hotel, but you're paying more for the location. We were disappointed in a few things. I thought we were told by the check in agent that parking would be complimentary due to our SPG status and now fighting a $30 parking charge. The on-site bar closes at 10pm which seems really early. Room service is overpriced and we got the wrong order on top of it. It took another 25-30 minutes for the correct order to arrive. I can see how this would be a good hotel and location for a family trip to the mountains but I probably would not stay again.
This is a great resort for the summer and probably the winter. We had a 1 bedroom suite with a full kitchen and balcony. It was more like a condo than a hotel. Everything we needed was provided. The only downside is there is a highway going to Edwards between the resort and the mountain. Besides that the place is great. Three hot tubs and a large pool with pool service. Several bars in the hotel with a full restaurant, Starbucks, and snack bar nearby. They only have valet parking, $35/day, and a resort fee to be aware of those. Convenient location and will be back.
On a recent trip to Beaver Creek my family and I stayed at the Westin Riverfront. The hotel is very well appointed, and we had an incredible room - it was a 1 bedroom suite on the top floor. The views were great as we faced the mountains, the decor of the room was well done, we had a nice fireplace - we were all pretty blown away by the room. There is a nice pool and exercise area, and be sure to roast marshmallows at the fire pits - that was one of my favorite parts of our stay. We plan to come back in the future during ski season, but watch out for the hard sell on buying into the time share program - they make it very hard to leave without locking into some kind of option. In hindsight I would have avoided that and left it at really enjoying the hotel.
