The location is fantastic; however, the facility is outdated and needs serious upgrading... rooms, dining, pool etc. The showers are ridiculous... I would not go back.

Very nice staff. Quiet hotel with indoor and outdoor pools, nice grounds. Good breakfast with a fancy self serve espresso/cappuccino maker. We stayed in an updated room with a large balcony. Rooms are quite basic, worth getting one that has an updated bathroom.

Lovely people & countryside, a bit outdated

Demidoff resort is in an absolutely beautiful spot, not too far from a town with services, but far enough away to not be in town. All the staff there are lovely and speak multiple languages. The bartender was especially friendly and makes his own awesome limoncello. The resort itself is a bit worn and hasn't been updated in a while. The room was comfortable and larger than you're going to get in neighboring Florence, but as I say, everything could use some modernization. Not to say it wasn't comfortable and it was very obviously clean and well taken care of. Florence is about a 30 minute drive, maybe a bit less if you know how to drive like an Italian.

Nice visit, beautiful location, would recommend!

Beautiful location and great to get away to “ the country” for the evenings. Good breakfast, twin beds put together were on the hard side and carpet was not vacuumed. Everything else seemed clean in the large and attractive room.

The panoramic vistas seen from the balcony are stunning, and Firenze is visable off in the distance. Great place and the staff were great.

great location outside Florence if you have a car

had a great stay and more investment taking place which will only improve things. the bar food menu is a little restrictive but good bars and restaurants 3km down the road

Beautiful hotel

Beautiful hotel and friendly staff but there was two main issues I had. One of them being that there was no air conditioner and the heat made it unbearable. The second problem was the location. It is so far from the bus station. I hated the idea of coming and going from the hotel. I would suggest maybe having an hourl van or something to drop people off at the bus station. It would make it easier for travelers to get by. And the location would not be an issue when people book this hotel.

Hotel is clean. Front desk is helpful. Breakfast is okay, could have more variety. Shower room is not well designed, shower head is facing the shower door and water can sprinkle on the floor and flood the bathroom or will need a lot of towel to dry it. The hotel has a good view on top of the hill but not a good choice if you want to be close to Florence, otherwise the hotel is good in general.

"Country Resort" !!

The only thing that can be described correctly at this hotel is it's in the countryside ! As for a "resort " the phrase is laughable ! Firstly , 8 sunbeds outside on a small terrace adjacent to an indoor pool does constitute a resort ! Apart from a small decked area which is rotten that is the sum total of outside facilities! Now the rooms ! The classic room is of a standard that can only be described as "hostel " standard. Having refused to stay in this room I was moved to another hotel for 1 night to be given there executive room which if you were lucky may attain standard status . The staff are willing but are led by a lack of management direction to the point of being chaotic !! After being kept waiting for two hours before getting my " hostel standard room - I spoke to the manager via phone to voice my considerable dismay ! As I said earlier, I was upgraded, but the standard of cleaning was a disgrace ! Beds crisply made & towels hung & straightened but no sign of a vacuum or a duster My point is further verified by s picture of a glass in the lobby that was there for my entire stay ! The restaurant ! - I was on half board & my first meal was a health hazard! Uncooked chicken !! Needless to say, I ate elsewhere at my own expense . I could go on & on - my advice to all STEER CLEAR!!!!!

Nice Hotel

Very nice quiet area with beautiful view, about 15m from the center of Florence. Few restaurants down the road, with a small supermarket nearby as well. Staff helpful, and price competitive, as advertised. Breakfast was a bit disappointing but I would return.

The Staff at the hotel and in the restaurant were first class. All were exceptionally helpful. In that it is a half hour from town it is a hotel where your focus should be on relaxing particularly if you don't have a car.

Best Hotel Stay in Europe

We cannot say enough about this hotel/resort. Florence was awesome in itself, but the hotel surpassed our expectations. From the welcome, to the breakfast, to the pool, and the room, we were satisfied. The shuttle to/from Florence was convenient, so as we did not have to try to drive ourselves.

Nice Firenze stopover -

Just a few kilometers north of Florence. Clean, comfortable, quiet room, excellent service, surprisingly good dinner cuisine at the restaurant. Recent remodel was thorough, including pool. Staff very helpful. Great getaway and good value for seeing the birthplace of the Renaissance!

Mixed experience

The good: 1) me and my wife were on our honeymoon and the hotel set for us champagne with ice in the room which was very nice and kind. 2) The staff is kind and helpful 3) The sauna and swimming pool surely upgraded the hotel. The bad: 1) Although the hotel was with minimal capacity, we and many other guests were set with a view to the parking area. 2) The shower had almost no hot water. 3) The walls were thin, and we heard noises from nearby room.
