A small hotel, very close to the castle and the lake. Upgraded to a deluxe room which was spacious and chairs outside on the grass to soak up the sun. The Weds we checked in there was a classic car meet with small band for a few hours and BBQ. No restaurant for dinner but options in the town just 5 minutes walk. We stayed an extra night as so relaxing

Friendly & helpful staff, room upgraded on check-in. So relaxing we stayed another night. Weds in summer there is a car festival, all very friendly, great cars and bikes, a band played and BBQ & beer. What more could you ask for :)

Great location and a pleasant stay

The hotel is located right next to the castle by lake which is perfect for an exploratory walk. Self-check-in was easy and straightforward. Parking was available on site, which was very nice. The room was cozy and clean. Heating worked well (we could adjust it as it was actually a little too warm even though it was midwinter). The breakfast was nice and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. They spoke perfect English, which I'm coming to expect in Sweden but I don't take for granted. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at a wonderful location.

Small basic hotel with stunning surroundings!

The hotel is located opposite the castle in Vadstena, and the surrounding areas are absolutely gorgeous. Vadstena is a very picturesque small town with a lot to see of culture and old buildings. From the outside, the hotel looks more like a Hostel, but inside it is nice and comfortable. Spacious rooms with working desk and extra chair. Very comfortable beds. Bathroom is kind of small, but functional. And the service is excellent! I had to leave early due to an appointment, but they prepared the breakfast for me and put it in an electric cooler in my room! Recommended!
