Located in the central part of the city yet very close to the airport. Clean and comfortable rooms met by courteous staff at the reception. The dinner was a great spread of continental and Indian menu with some mouth watering deserts line apple pie, caramel custard home made ice cream and very Indian sweets. The Chef was too willing to prepare any recipe you liked, we tried some lasagna, that he prepared in a jiffy. Would like to stay again very soon.
One of the best hotels I have stayed at. I was in town for a month during a volunteer work and the hotel became a second home for me. The Staff is just brilliant and helpful. The pool is nice and the restaurants are great. I want to extend a big thank for taking such good care of us!
Services and food was too good. Especially Ramesh beara was too good and he has given v nice service and make our evening great. This is really good place and even they have buffet As well. Quality of food is good and even other ambiance as well
Excelent hotel. Very good and polite staff. Always available to help you. Room always very clean. Very comfortable. Restaurant also with very good indian food. Be careful with spicy if you are not used to.
I’ve stayed in a number of Taj Group hotels and the Gateway, no matter where in India always has the same high standards. The rooms are a little tired, but it’s relative. The hotel is spotless, the staff are always on hand to attend to everything you need, they are all friendly, well mannered and attentive. The food in the main restaurant is lovely. Even if there is something not on the menu the chefs will do their best to accommodate, in my case, grilled chicken and steamed veg. There isn’t much more I can say, well done Taj, impeccable service and standards as usual! Defiantly recommend!
Had been to this place for a weekend during Navratri. This hotel is located in a very convenient location and easily accessible from the airport as well as the railway station. Popularly known as 'The Taj', the old city as well as the new Vadodara are in close proximity. Rooms are appropriately sized and reasonably decorated. Doesn't give a plush feeling though there is a subtle feel of warmth and being at home. The front desk is manned by some really pleasant people, who are helpful and always smiling. Food at the GAD is awesome. The buffet dinner and breakfast spread had a good combination of Continental, Punjabi, Oriental as well as local Gujarati cuisine. Overall, a good experience. Would recommend anyday
yes , its a good hotel , clean , quiet , but I don't think it worth to be 5 stars hotel , its furniture , the bathroom , also its considered an old fashion , also there is nothing refer to any welfare ,
Superb place to stay, great spacious room and great food , very good ambience and location , staff was very courteous even though I checked in late it was a breeze , would definitely come back .Good option for a Japanese restaurant.
Gateway is a great place to stay at Vadodara. It is on the other side of city when travelling from Airport but does not matter much as city size in not much. facilities and the rooms are very comfortable. For the fitness geeks, there is 24 X 7 gym. The rooms in the end of each floor require a little walk as the lifts are on one end of floor. People who have difficulty in walking may request room numbers like 301 , 401 etc. Staff is very helpful and courteous.
I was in this city for a day as a part of my business trip.I stayed at hotel Akota Gardens Gateway hotel, which is part of Taj group. The hotel is located at a round 7-10 km from Airport and it took around 20 mins to reach by OLA. The hotel is little old but rooms are good. The toilet had a bathtub and had good toiletries.Overall the room is quite comfortable. The hotel has two restaurants .One Indian and other Chinese. Food is quite good. The morning breakfast spread is awesome.
