Old barn renovated on two levels with fully enclosed garden on the edge of a village in the middle of lavender fields. For 4 or 5 persons including 2 rooms with beds for 2 people (1 bed width of 140 and a bed width of 160) plus 1 folding bed for 1 person and baby cot. outdoor barbecue, 2 shaded terraces with magnificent views and with tables and chairs, deck chairs, bathroom with shower, separate toilet, dining area close to the kitchen equipped with oven, microwave, refrigerator, gas stove, Nespresso coffee machine, freezer, dishwasher 6 place and washing machine. Living room with TV. Games and reading available. Ideal for 2 couples + 1 child or family with 2 or 3 children. Many events in the village and in the surrounding villages during the months of July and August.
Near the observatory of Haute Provence, Apt, Manosque, Forcalquier, Banon.
A half hour from the highway, 1 hour 30 from Marseille, Aix en Provence.

Wonderful property

Lovely hilltop village. The property itself was well appointed and was even better than the photos suggest. Fabulous views, and apart from a few Bastile day celebrations, peaceful. Would love to come back.

Très jolie vacances

Wir haben die Zeit im Maison d’Ava sehr genossen. es ist ein sehr schönes Haus und gut eingerichtet. Uns haben die verschiedenen Räume und der Aussenbereich mit den verschiedenen Plätzen zum Sein sehr gefallen. Auch Vachères und die Dörfer in der Umgebung haben uns sehr gefallen, wie auch die Landschaft in der Gegend. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à la Maison d’Ava. c'est une très belle maison et bien aménager. Nous avons beaucoup aimé les différents espaces et l'extérieur avec les différents endroits à être. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié Vachères et les villages environnants, ainsi que la campagne environnante.

Nach einem sehr herzlichen Willkommen haben wir uns in dem sehr hübschen und individuellen Haus eingerichtet. Es ist ein altes Steinhaus mit vielen Zimmern und Treppen, das etwas verwinkelt, aber wunderschön ist. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet- uns hat nichts gefehlt. Der Blick von den Terrassen mit sehr schönen Sitzmöglichkeiten ist einmalig. Der Pool ist groß genug und schön, um sich zu erfrischen. Da das Dorf ca. 800m hoch liegt, sind die Nächte angenehm kühl. Der Garten ist gut umzäunt, so dass unsere Hunde frei laufen konnten. Vom Haus aus kann man wandern und die Umgebung erkunden- es ist wunderbar ruhig und entspannend. Der Duft von Lavendel und Fenchel hüllt einen ein. Im Dorf gibt es einen kleinen Laden, in dem man neben allem Nötigen leckere Croissants und Baguettes bekommt. Das Restaurant ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Es war ein wundervoller Urlaub und wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für alles.

Traumhaft

Anfang Juli sind wir in das kleine Dorf Vachères gereist um unser Ferienhaus zu beziehen.Wir wurden herzlich empfangen mit Roséwein und Kaffee.Vielen Dank nochmal unseren Gastgebern! Was wir vor fanden war einfach Perfekt.Das Haus so gemütlich, sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet.Der Garten lud mit seinen verschiedenen Sitzplätzen Pool und Aussicht (einfach prachtvoll) zum verweilen ein.Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt im Maison Ava. In den 3 Wochen Urlaub haben wir fast täglich Ausflüge,Wanderungen oder Stadt/Dorf Besichtigungen gemacht.Die Gegend ist wirklich sehr vielfältig und sehenswert.Vachères ist ein kleines schnuckliges Bergdorf mit sehr freundlichen, geselligen Bewohnern, die am Wochenende gerne mal ein Fest feiern. Man muss auch wissen dass man auf ca.825m.ü.M ist und es Abends eine Jacke braucht um draussen zu sitzen weil es recht abkühlt...Herrlich zum schlafen!! Dass man zum nächsten grösseren Einkaufscenter ca.30min fahren muss ist kein Problem, da beim Haus ein Megagrosser Kühlschrank steht, den man dann mit dem Grosseinkauf so richtig auffüllen kann, eine gute Lösung. Superbe endroit

Une maison avec une vue comme celle ci c'est rare! Magnifique endroit dans un petit village calme, vue imprenable sur les champs de lavandes et les montagnes. Dommage que le bistro restaurant, épicerie étaient fermés la semaine ou nous y étions. Le jardin est bien clôturé pour notre chien c'etait parfait. Petite piscine , mais agréable de s'y rafraîchir. La maison est décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Elle est bien plus jolie que sur les photos 😁 Rien à redire c'était top! On y retournera.

Sehr hübsches authentisches Haus

Also erstmal zur INFO - wir sprechen kein französisch und trauten uns trotzdem in die "Haute Provence". Der Kontakt vorab zur Vermieterin war sehr nett, den Mietvertrag gibt es nur auf französisch. Fragen werden zeitnah beantwortet - auch auf deutsch! Die Dame für die Schlüsselübergabe kann zwar kaum deutsch und englisch ist aber sehr bemüht und ruft zur Not auch ihre Tochter im Elsass an, damit diese übersetzt - fand ich so lieb :-) Den Ort hatte unser Navi erstmal nicht gefunden. Vacheres ist ein schnuckeliges Bergdorf. Das liebevoll restaurierte und eingerichtete Ferienhaus liegt am Ortsrand mit herrlichem Ausblick, den wir ausgiebig beim Frühstück und Abendessen genießen durften. Im Ort selbst gibt es ein Bistro/Kneipe mit nebenan liegendem kleinen Laden, wo man sich morgens Baguettes und Croissants usw. holen kann oder mittags bzw. abends zum Essen gehen kann. Der nächste Supermarkt in Apt oder Manosque ist fast 30 km entfernt. Da ist der riesige Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach der im Schuppen steht genau richtig. Im Haus gibt es auch einen kleinen Kühlschrank. Wir hatten zwei Hunde dabei, die sich sehr wohl gefühlt haben; die Katzen, die sich anscheinend sonst gerne dort aufhalten waren "not amused". Es gibt schöne Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe (Ockerfelsen von Rustrel, Wandern in der Schlucht von Oppedette - "allerdings mit Hund nicht empfehlenswert, weil es teilweise sehr steile und schräge Wege sind und die Absturzgefahr nicht zu unterschätzen ist, wenn ein Hund an der Leine hängt", Märkte in Reillanne (sonntags) und Foqualiere (montags). Auch eine etwas weitere Fahrt in den Grand Canyon du Verdon ist ein Erlebnis. Baden in Sainte-Croix du Verdon ist traumhaft schön. Also Langeweile kommt nicht auf. Wer einfach nur die Seele baumeln lassen möchte, kann dies auch wunderbar in dem schönen Garten in einem bequemen Liegestuhl tun. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Haus wärmstens weiter empfehlen. Auch wer die Sprache nicht beherrscht, wenn man bemüht ist wird einem gerne geholfen.

wenn nicht ein überfordertes Stromnetz den Aufenthalt negativ beeinträchtigt hätte. In der Küche und im Essbereich war nur eine Notbeleuchtung möglich, die Toilette war gänzlich ohne Licht. Eine techn. Unterstützung war zwar vor Ort, konnte den Schaden innerhalb einer Woche aber nicht beheben. Ansonsten ein liebevoll restauriertes Haus, sehr gut ausgestattet, sehr ruhige Lage, ein idealer Ort zur Erholung.

maison trés bien décoré avec un extérieur parfait.region agreable ou on respire tres bien plein de rando sympa. on a passé de très bon moment a avec nos chiens qui etait royal.

Petit paradis à la montagne en haute provence.

Avons passé une quinzaine au calme dans ce gite et le joli petit village perché. Cette ancienne bergerie est aménagée et meublée avec goût, équipement complet rien ne manque . Malgré quelques journées avec le "Mistral" avons profité des 2 terrasses et du panorama magnifique, le jardin clos à été apprécié par notre petit chien. De plus, la propriétaire, bien que n'étant pas sur place, était joignable et disposée rapidement à résoudre les petits problèmes(éventuels!) du quotidien. Avons aussi apprécié les petits cadeaux de bienvenue. Pourrions revenir sans problèmes! Mr et Mme LEPERT NAMUR - Belgique

Charmante maisonnette au calme et au soleil

La maison est très agréable à vivre. Les 2 terrasses nous ont permis de profiter du soleil au maximum. Tout le nécessaire est à disposition pour passer un agréable séjour. Nous avons également apprécie la réactivité de la propriétaire quand nous l'avons contactée. Seul bémol, la présence de nombreux escaliers tant à l'interieur qu'à l'extérieur qui peuvent rendre le séjour avec un enfant en bas âge compliqué. Vacheres est un village très calme, typique et charmant. Nous avons apprécié de nous reposer dans ce coin du Luberon.

Ein Traum

Wir waren 10 Tage in diesem unglaublich schönen authentischen Haus, das soviel provenzalischen Charme hat, einen traumhaften Garten und alles da, was man braucht. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und auch unser Hund hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Eine Aussicht und eine Ruhe in diesem reizenden Dörfchen, das findet man so schnell nicht wieder. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
