The hotel is very close to the station and many dining options available nearby. Over the years I have stayed here many times, and the rooms are a decent size. The room I booked was very functional, but could be seen as dated, as there are no direct USB ports, but if you are travelling, you have your owm anyways. The staff was also very helpful. I had to borrow an iron and board, and they were able to hold our baggage after check out.

Richmond Hotel is located within a short walking distance from the Utsunomiya Station. The room size is generous and the staffs are very helpful. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping areas nearby. The breakfast is good and delicious. I recommend Richmond Hotel when you are in Utsunomiya!

Week long business trip to Utsunomiya

Overall great stay here, plenty of amenities for the business traveler. Location to Train Station is very good and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were all very helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent!

Nice hotel with lovely staff - decor was a bit dated but that was part of the charm. We loved the freebies trolley with tea, coffee, toothbrushes etc. I have allergies and it would have been nice to have the option of a non feather duvet and pillows, instead I got a blanket in a duvet cover and tiny square cushions which weren't as comfortable.

The staff were very flexible and helpful on my frequent reservation changes during my 3 week stay in Japan. Breakfast selection for both Japanese and western style were awesome. Excellent UT business hotel

Stayed for a week for business, and really enjoyed it! The room is very clean and spacious. Nice amenities. The Korean restaurant at the ground floor is also very good!

I always stay at the Richmond Annex since it is a newer property. The two properties are across from each other and are in an excellent location near the train station. What I did not like about the Annex was the room size. Even a double room is small and a big bed takes up maybe 2/3 of the room. I learned that the rooms at the original Richmond was larger so decided to give it a try. I was very happy to see a comfortable room with much more space. I had a double room with single occupancy. Another good point of both properties is the breakfast. The restaurant Otowa is in Annex and the breakfast is excellent. It is a small restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The metrical is fresh and the menu has a good variety and is healthy.
