Our second visit during New Year’s Eve was made extra special by the floor to ceiling window with a view over all the fireworks! The room itself was spacious with a sitting area in front of the large window, an excellent bed, large TV, good bathroom with walk-in rain shower, bathrobes and hairdryer. The breakfast in a windowless room is an awkward mix: buffet but also staff that walks around with cappuccinos and other coffees, eager to remove your plate the second it is empty. You can order your eggs any way you like from the chef. The buffet offers bread, yoghurt in a glass (?) to go with the fruit and granola you put in a bowl. Scrambled eggs, mushrooms, American style pancakes, bread, croissants, lots of typically Dutch sweets to go on your bread and some savory like cheese and ham.
We spent our Christmas holiday at Mercure Amersfoort and it did not dissappoint. Clean beautiful room and friendly staff. No problems checking in and out. In fact was very fast. Room was pretty and clean. No real view though.Still, the location is walking distance from shopping mall, Amersfoort city center and the central station (the latter is about 15 mins, 10 if you are the sporty type) All in all, we had a good time.
Friendly reception, plenty of parking space in this modern hotel.easy to reach by car or Train. Close to the old city center. Amsterdam or Utrecht can easily be reached by train.thos hotel lies behind the railway station. Restaurant in hotel available with good service. Rooms are modern and fully equipped. The beds are of good quality. Wi fi thru the hotel is free of charge.
I stayed at one of the premium rooms of Mercure (on the 10th floor) since I booked via the NWO (as I was presenting at a NWO supported conference in Amersfoort). The staff were friendly, the room comfortable. After returning from the trip I needed a receipt from the restaurant/bar of Mercure to submit to my university. When I contacted the friendly staff they immediately helped me out. Definitely a wonderful place to stay if you are going for work.
A very good location, easy to find and a nice in-door parking. Very service frindly staff in The reception, bar and restaurant. Super nice room with All you need. Very tasty meal in The restaurant - I highly recommend.
This hotel is a pretty typical modern hotel. The bed, TV desk.. all wonderful. Great to have heated flooring in the washroom. I liked that I could control the heat myself and had a fridge. If you were travelling for business for many days, it's great that there is a grocery store and drug store attached to the building. It is also very convenient to the train station. It would be a 5 star/fancy hotel if they provided toiletries. I thought it was strange for such a nice room to have a terrible soap dispenser and "shampoo+conditioner in-one" dispenser in the shower. It definitely took away from what could have felt like a high end experience. And in the shower, there is no shelf for your own toiletries and no facecloths are provided. If you're into nice soap & require conditioner (fuzzy hair here!), be sure to pack your own. The staff were A+, as was the breakfast buffet. Again, felt like a high-end hotel. I was very impressed that staff walk around the lobby and offer to get you coffee/tea while you wait for a taxi. Nice touch.
Clean and reasonably comfortable- but somewhat un-inspiring. A bit pricey for value and service in front very average... Good breakfast food and good sitting area. Not my top choice when in Amersfoort.
Stayed here for 2 nights , got a good offer and enjoyed the quietness and comfort in standart room, nice design and good location- close to city centre , train station and shops. Visited restaurant on the top floor - very good combo of everything
This is a modern hotel, conveniently located for both the centre of Amersfoort and the railway station. The interiors appear to have been recently refurbished so everything was smart and clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom felt fairly luxurious with an over-sized shower tray and wash basin. We paid around €70 for a Saturday night, which seems like good value for a hotel of this quality. Breakfast in the hotel seems quite expensive, but there are plenty of alternatives nearby.
I like this hotel. It's in a good location. Rooms are nice, the restaurant and bar serve good food and beer. The staff are friendly. There is another restaurant on the 2nd floor that is not run by the hotel. This is also nice food and good value for money. The only down side is it is a bit dark in the corridors.
